I by this because the coldsore plasters are so noticeable and wanted to try something else. This is expensive granted and it used or be a lot cheaper but I feel it is worth it. It is almost like PVA glue. You take a tiny amount and spread it over the sight of the coldsore. It creates a film over it (like the plasters) and stops the growth of the coldsore shortening its lifespan. The issue you have is that if you use too much it goes white and is noticeable, then if you get it wet you have to reapply but I find it better than the plasters as it's less noticeable and easy to pop in your bag to reapply. Make sure your let it set before closing your mouth and it should be fine

This worked when other OTC treatments failed. It seemed expensive but was so effective I would definitely recommend it!

This feels very different from typical cold sore creams. It goes on like a glue-like film that sits on your lips. The texture is a bit odd and noticeable, but it does protect the area and helps reduce irritation. I used it early and it helped with pain and swelling, though it didn’t fully heal in 24 hours. One tip: let it dry with your mouth slightly open, otherwise your lips can stick together

Probably the best treatment I’ve used. It seems to pause the growth stage so the sooner you put it on the better in oreventing then going big

I’ve tried a few cold sore treatments and this is honestly the best one I’ve used so far. The Herpatch serum is easy to apply and feels soothing straight away. It helped reduce the pain and swelling quite quickly, even if it didn’t magically clear everything in 24 hours. It also seems to stop it getting worse. I highly recommend it if you get cold sores regularly. For me, it’s become the one I reach for first now.

The serum (5ml tube) takes the pain from the cold sore almost instantly, but I did find you still get a little of the crawling sensation at odd times. It helps to mask it a little and It's easy to remove by soaking with tissues, I used cold water, or washing gently with warm water, making cleaning of the area easy. It seals the cold sore and stops that nasty crust forming. Needs to be reapplied after eating or drinking, but it doesn't take long to dry, maybe 30 seconds. It looks and smells like PVA, and that's because that's what it contains, along with other healing/soothing ingredients. This is much better than the patches, which peel off easily and can get food stuck under the patches making it look unsightly. No chance of that happening with this serum. The balm is fp30 sunblock, but I didn't find it moisturising as other lip sun blocks I have used, so I popped some vaseline over the top to help moisturise my lips. A sunblock is a must to help prevent coldsores during sunny summer days, so I'm glad this was included in the pack.
