A WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER by DR. JOE DISPENZA, the author of the New York Times bestseller You Are the Placebo , as well as Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself and Evolve Your Brain. Becoming Supernatural draws on epigenetics, quantum physics & neuroscience research conducted at his advanced workshops since 2012 to explore how common people are doing the uncommon to transform their consciousness, mindset, and beliefs to heal and live SUPERNATURAL lives. " From a gifted scientist and passionate teacher, this unique and practical guide shows us--step by step--how to move beyond the limits of the known and into an extraordinary new life." -- Tony Robbins, #1 New York Times best-selling author of Unshakeable Becoming Supernatural marries some of the most profound scientific information with ancient spiritual wisdom to show how people like you and me can experience a more mystical life. Readers will learn that we are, quite literally supernatural by nature if given the proper knowledge and instruction, and when we learn how to apply that information through various healing meditations , we should experience a greater expression of our creative abilities. We have the capacity to tune in to frequencies beyond our material world and receive more orderly coherent streams of consciousness and energy; that we can intentionally change our brain chemistry to initiate profoundly mystical transcendental experiences ; and how, if we do this enough times, we can develop the skill of creating a more efficient, balanced, healthy body, a more unlimited mind, and greater access to the quantum field and the realms of spiritual truth. Topics include: - Demystifying the body's 7 energy centers and how you can balance them to heal - How to free yourself from the past by reconditioning your body to a new mind - How you can create reality in the generous present moment by changing your energy - The difference between third-dimension creation and fifth-dimension creation - The secret science of the pineal gland and its role in accessing mystical realms of reality - The distinction between Space-Time vs. Time-Space realities - And much more Chapters include: - Opening the Door to the Supernatural - The Present Moment - Tuning In to New Potentials in the Quantum - Blessing of the Energy Centers - Reconditioning the Body to a New Mind - Case Studies: Living Examples of Truth - Heart Intelligence - Mind Movies/Kaleidoscope - Walking Meditation - Case Studies: Making It Real - Space-Time and Time-Space - The Pineal Gland - Project Coherence: Making a Better World - Case Studies: It Could Happen to You Using tools and disciplines ranging from cutting-edge physics to practical exercises such as a walking meditation, Dr. Joe offers nothing less than a proven program for stepping outside our physical reality and into the quantum field of infinite possibilities. " Dr. Joe Dispenza is a doctor, a scientist, and a modern-day mystic. . . . In a style that is simple, straightforward, and easy to understand, [he] has woven into a single volume the paradigm-altering discoveries of quantum science and the deep teachings that adepts of the past dedicated their entire lifetimes to master." -- from the foreword by Gregg Braden, New York Times best-selling author of Human by Design and The Divine Matrix "I wrote this book to take what I've always thought was possible to the next level of understanding. I wanted to demonstrate to the world that we can create better lives for ourselves--and that we are not linear beings living linear lives, but dimensional beings living dimensional lives. Hopefully, reading it will help you understand that you already have all the anatomy, chemistry, and physiology you need to become supernatural sitting latent within you, waiting to be awakened and activated." - Dr. Joe Dispenza New York Times best-selling author Researcher of epigenetics, quantum physics & neuroscience Review: Well-argued, convincing, evidence-based exploration of humanity's potential - I am not sure how I found this book. I had heard of Joe Dispenza and seen some of his lectures on certain websites and social media and was sure that he has a lot of valuable things to say. I wasnโt disappointed. As a sceptic (and cynic), when I read a book that talks about how to make yourself โsupernaturalโ, I want to see three things. One is internal consistency. Two is consistency with other sources of information covering similar ideas and principles. Three is hard evidence in the form of data, controlled experiments, peer reviewed articles. With this book you get all three. In terms of internal consistency, the book is set out like a course of study that takes you from basic principles like how to use breathing and meditating to move beyond your normal state of anxiety, anger, resentment to how you can join with others to use breathing and meditating to promote peace and harmony on a global scale. Regarding consistency with other sources, one example is the concept of chakras or energy centres. The model the author uses is consistent with what I have seen elsewhere, such as the location of energy centres in the throat, heart, solar plexus etc. Other sources associate these chakras with certain colours and mantras. This book examines associations between the energy centres and specific glands and the whole endocrine system as well. This leads me to the third point, about the use of evidence to back up assertions. The author uses individual case studies and refers to the use of medical technologies to measure changes in people going through his organisationโs workshops. He also refers to controlled experiments and other research carried out entirely independently and in the End Notes chapter he includes a comprehensive set of references that the curious reader can explore. Some readers will be inspired by the case studies of people who used the techniques set out in this book to treat previously intractable health problems. Others will put more weight on the independent evidence. However, if you put the two together you are faced with a powerful set of arguments about the value of these techniques, how they work and how they can work for you. On that note, the book was written about a decade again and I assume that the body of evidence supporting these techniques has grown substantially since then. At the end of some chapters the author recommends doing a specific meditation. You can buy a guided version of some of these meditations on the authorโs website, and if you are a new to this style of meditating, it is probably worth investing in those guided versions. However, the book gives enough instruction for you to get started on your own. Once again, although the author has many original insights, there is a lot of consistency with other material I have seen. One example is the primacy of the pineal gland and how you can use breathwork to activate it. The author also introduced me to new information about how melatonin can be transformed into a remarkable set of compounds associated with self-healing, anti-ageing etc. I was struck by the idea of walking meditations because I do most of my meditating lying down and as I have a few sponsored walks scheduled over the next few months, I really do need to spend more time on my feet. I have read this book once and need to go through it again to work out to get the best out of it. It looks like any reader could usefully do the following. First, try out the meditations in the order they are presented and persevere for a while to see where they take you. Second, read other books by Joe Dispenza and explore his website and other sources for additional ideas, evidence and techniques. Alternatively, if you are already engaged in meditation, breathwork etc, see how you can integrate the techniques in this book into your current practice. Whether youโre a novice or a master, this book repays study. Review: Brown is the new black - Every year as far back as I can remember some fashionista makes a pronouncement, the coming season's brown will be the new black! Every year I cursorily search in vain for evidence of a brown revolution. Similarly, every time a consciousness guru projects a utopian vision, especially in their Afterword, I am immediately sucked in with anticipation that a seductive assault on my believability isn't too far-fetched! After reading this fascinatingly absorbing book I am like glue to its contents, feeling in the realms of a mystical rite of passage; for Dr Joe is doing his level best to make the esoteric commonplace, and the supernatural the new normal for anyone who cares to venture forth into dimensional areas of personal growth work. Of course, the sheer number of meditators that could make the quantum journey a critical mass of change for the planet is still some way off (a chapter outlining Project Coherence - or the 'superradiance effect' - might have a thing or two to add here). However, Joe's forecasting, compared to other wild visionaries, does seem to be rooted less in mystical musings. Why? For three main reasons: technology, technology and technology, which Dr Joe has grasped smartly, creatively, and most of all, practically. Firstly, the internet's powerful connectivity is facilitating the dissemination of spiritual ideas at a rapid pace - nonlocal quantum models of entanglement in the unity field, once considered voodoo magic are being explored openly as people find out for themselves this hocus pocus works. Secondly, we are living through the golden age of neuroscience and epigenetics that have given modern neuro-researchers tools of unprecedented power to probe the workings of the brain-body connection and how it can give rise to the mind; and with it, our thoughts, feelings, soul, and identity. Thirdly, bio-interventions are changing the game, be it entrainment machines, biofeedback instruments, and measurement analysers (of neurochemicals and EMFs). 'Becoming Supernatural' avails of such advancements, for instance with brainwave activity scans, GDV measurements, heart rhythm patterns, and fMR imaging adorning the centrepiece of the book (as colour plates). Tech-laden information can provide a leg up the mystical ladder into areas of proficiency once considered impossible without a dedicated course of yogic mastery. One of Dr Joe's main assertions is spending time in Q5 (quantum fifth-dimensional healing) can biologically upgrade the autonomic nervous system through mystical states, since these will ultimately pay off in the 3D physical space. One's neurology becomes accustomed to a new higher form of reality: "tuning into the energy of the future in the generous present moment you are drawing the future to you from a past-present reality to the future-present reality." Therefore, Q5 power has the potential to transduce identities. Mystics like Eckhart Tolle have achieved such states of heroic enlightenment through a spiritual emergency (psychological breakdown), that indelibly left them in an altered state of higher consciousness. Dr Joe's change curve is more gradual, supplemented by online courses, his live events and regular meditations. For some of his attendees bona fide miracles do occur; experiences which are evidenced as case studies throughout the book. Dr Joe's healing rationale rather reminded me of Joseph Campbell's monomyth cycle (or the hero's journey): "A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder. Fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won. The hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow 'boons' on his fellow man."(Wiki). The three-dimensional world surely needs boons to be bestowed upon it!? I might suggest...yes as a primer... to have read, arguably, the more ethereal 'The Power of Now' (Tolle's first book of the late nineties) described as a "sort of New Age re-working of Zen" which highlights a similar role - to Dr Joe - of the pain-body. This "consists of trapped life-energy that has split off from one's total energy field and has temporarily become autonomous through the unnatural process of mind identification." 'Becoming Supernatural' offers a tried and tested way for many to raise their vibrations. Stand-out chapters on Heart Intelligence, Quantum Time-Space and the Pineal Gland tie together the learnings previously achieved by the practical methods introduced at the outset for reconditioning the body to a new mind. By comparison this is not a book "awash in spiritual mumbo jumbo" and "unhelpful for those looking for practical advice" (criticism levelled at 'The Power of Now' by Time Magazine).

For Those Who Are No Longer Willing to Live as a Fragment of Themselves
''Becoming Supernatural" is a powerful work for anyone standing at the edge of their own transformation. Not just curious, but ready. It challenges you to look directly at the version of yourself thatโs been shaped by survival, fear, and unconscious habit, and it hands you tools to move beyond that with intention and clarity. Dr. Joe Dispenza integrates deep neuroscience with spiritual mechanics in a way that demands your engagement. He doesnโt offer surface-level inspiration. He offers a method, a framework that insists on your participation in your own expansion. The book walks you through practices that are both accessible and profound, especially the meditations, which are central to shifting the internal state. What struck me most is how he speaks directly to the parts of us that have been dulled by repetition, routine, and unresolved emotion. Itโs for those ready to rewire it from the inside out. A necessary read if you know, deep down, that you can no longer pretend to be who you once were.

No need to use quasi-physical explanations
This book is largely about the amazing benefits of meditation, and will be of great help and encouragement to many people. However, Dr Dispenza goes to great length to justify his findings and conclusions to the scientific establishment. But this is a largely pointless exercise. In any case, trapped by their certainty, it is doubtful that โhard-bedโ scientists will be convinced. For example, he refers to material (if mysterious) explanations as causes for various miraculous healings. Such as radiation of energy from the heart. But this sort of quasi-physical explanation is absolutely unnecessary. That is not to deny the effects he describes are absolutely true. But their causes and means do not have to be based in physical reality. Dr Dispenza also subscribes to the dual wave/partical nature of matter, but even that is now being brought into question. In his paper โWheelerโs Delayed-Choice Gedanken Experiment with a Single Atomโ, published in Nature PhysicsโMay 2015, Professor Andrew Truscott states, โThe atoms did NOT โtravelโ. It was only when they were monitored, at the end of their โjourneyโ, that their wave-like or particle-like behaviour came into existence.โ This accords with the metaphysical view, that (in this experiment and others), the projected particles do not actually โtravelโโany more than those which appear beyond the barrier in the quantum tunnelling effect really โtunnelledโ. Rather, they โemergeโ at their targets, but always in a manner consistent with the route they seem to have followed. It seems sad that those like Dr Dispenza and Greg Braden, who are doing a wonderful job of opening our eyes to the miraculous potentials of the mind, still need to involve quasi-physical causes for the miraculous effects they describe. This is completely unnecessary.

Amazing - You wont be disappointed!
I am in the middle of reading this book and it is simply amazing. I think it is by far the best of his books but that is mainly because my understanding of his work is growing considerably, and this book fills in some of the gaps. I initially read Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself which I found very eye opening. I then read You Are The Placebo which I thought was even better until I started to read this book. I have personally had a couple of experiences after doing his meditations where I have felt the energy move within my abdomen area where I have had health issues. My anxiety is disappearing, things that used to bother me don't seem to bother me anymore and I genernally feel calmer and happier on a daily basis. I have been doing the meditations for 2 months now. I tend to have a habit of reading self-help books then moving to the next then the next. But I committed to myself this time that I would only read Dr Joe's books, and once finished I will start reading them again. So that is my promise to myself if i want to see real changes in my life. I find that if something happens and triggers a stress response I suddenly remember Dr Joe's teachings which allows me to calm down and choose different thoughts. And the only reason for that is because I keep reading his work. I personally recommend reading his other 2 books before reading this one, Breaking The Habit and You are the Placebo. I have also since been to his workshop which has given me much more of an understanding and I plan to attend his weeklong retreat this year. I hope this review helps anyone who is thinking of getting into Dr Joe's work. I personally think he is phenominal and will go down in history as one of the Greats!

The book I've been waiting for ...
I've been following Dr Joe's work for years. I've read his previous books, Break the Habit of Yourself and You are the Placebo and practiced the meditations. What Dr Joe wrote in his books and talked about in his interviews resonated with me. I put his meditations to the test and I saw results BUT you have to do the work. In, Becoming Supernatural, Dr Joe presents the science of neuroscience/mind/body/connection and you will learn how we can implement this knowledge into our daily lives in beneficial ways. The reader will appreciate Dr Joe's effort of putting this complex science and related research in laymen terms and at the same time make it an interesting read. And as always, you are presented with the practical results of scans and graphics recorded through meditation practices, all simply explained. Some of you, like me, may have been researching for valuable scientific data on meditation/mind/body relations with proven practical results. I've been wanted a scientific data demystify how the energy centres or the Pineal gland work for example. It is difficult to get a hands on such research out of the scientific network not to mention understand them. Becoming Supernatural had my curiosity satisfied in that regard as well. But there is more than science in the book hence Supernatural. Should you decide to read the book, it would be a spoiler to give it away but if you go for it, I think you will find the material educational and then some. THE BONUS .. . if you decide to put your knew learned knowledge and the meditation practices to test as I did, you have good tools at your disposal. You can use the Becoming Supernatural as a workbook as well. The exercises are scientifically backed up and well explained for you. You understand what are you doing and why are you doing it, and what is happening inside and outside of your mind and body while you're at it. Each meditation is well developed and structured. It is personal preference if you want to do them with the CD or just guide yourself based on the book description. To me the music and guidance gave an extra boost for my practices. I also found some of the meditations and breathing techniques took more effort than usual (depending on your level of practice) so I got the downloads. The meditations are enjoyable and more importantly, you feel that something is happening to you, to your body. Enjoy the book and have fun with practicing should you decide. :)
