So glad these are sturdy. Was worried when I purchased since it's so hard to tell from a picture. I always read reviews in hope to get some insight into my purchases, so I try to review when I can! They do have short handles, but they are perfect for little hands, especially in a sandbox (as we intended!). My son can be pretty rough on his toys, he just turned 4. These are very well made it seems, and while yes they are still plastic, they are really solid!

I liked that we got 3 shovels so that it one goes missing we have another. Shovels are what we lose all the time at the beach and there’s enough to go around when the sand castle building gets intense. They seem to be pretty sturdy and durable and so far they’ve held up all summer. I’m just glad I didn’t have to buy another sand toy set just to get shovel.

We have a 3 year old who love the sand , we also have a dog who eats the toys left out . These are a great replacement , sturdy , and colorful

Purchased prior to grandkids arriving for some beach time. Needed the 3 so each could have one (LOL). They appear sturdy but time and use will tell. They are a nice size.

Great shovels for the sandbox or beach. Nice size with rounded corners as to not cut little hands.

They look sturdy, but only two of three held up well. One broke right at the handle on the first day at the beach. Would have rated higher if the one didn’t break.
