Cliff hanger...Grr
This book was not as suspenseful as the others. I did take a break between this one and the last one read but I don't remember Dan and Eva having issues like this. I didn't like reading their interactions, nor the ones involving the detectives. They were not playful or fun or, in the case of the detectives, realistic. Maybe I'll take another break.

WHAT?
The end? Why did the story end the way it did? Is this book part of a continuing saga with same characters? The ending was very disappointing - because the story line throughout was exciting. There was no final conclusion. Disappointing!

Timeout Read
This is my first book from this author and I really liked it. Timeout reads for me is when I start a book and it captures me so that I keep reading nonstop until the end. No chores, no cellphones, no plans or interruptions until finished. I look forward to reading the next book in the series after I get a few things done. Give it a go!

Great reading - actually two separate plots in one narrative
Interesting, reasonable characters, realistic plot, enough mystery to keep me reading and all tied together in the end.

TWISTS AND TURNS
Harder They Fall by Solomon Carter Terrifying to wake up and feel like something is wrong, a run to clear his head, and the sun reflects a gun. A group called weblebrity, one of them was targeted. The case that Eva and Dan investigate, turns into more twists and turns. They are out of their territory, and have the dour policeman to help them. As usual his writing draws you in and no stopping till the end. Well done, and look for more by author.

A Good Read
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and would recommend it. However, I would say that if you don't like books that leave you having to get the next in the series to resolve an issue, beware. The main storyline comes to a satisfactory conclusion, but the (very much) secondary story doesn't. This is a technique that normally annoys me enough to make me give a lower rating, but in this case, the secondary story didn't interest me that much, so if I never read the next book to find out what happens, I won't worry too much. The main story is good and interesting, but (I am writing this 5 years after it was written) although the protagonists seem to be very tech savvy, they are remarkably dense in a couple of other areas, seemingly more so given that they are private investigators by profession. And the technique of getting all the characters together at the end to announce the conclusion of the investigation and reveal the villain is so outdated and clichรฉd. Agatha Christie was doing this 100 years ago!

A really good read
Kept me turning the pages. A good realistic plot with some unexpected turns. Won't be the last Solomon Carter story I'll be reading.

Believably shockingly the way we now are
See title. I love these books. Realism shot through with hope. No matter your background, we know all of them.
