I purchased these swim diapers for my daughter’s swim lessons, and they’ve been perfect! The quality is great, and I love that they’re adjustable, she’ll be able to keep using them as she grows, which is a big plus. These are great for my 2 1/2 year old. I was actually on Amazon to buy the iPlay brand swim diapers, but after reading reviews I felt uncertain about what size to order because there were so many complaints about them being too small. I searched for other brands and settled on this for the versatility it offers and the price. -Fit: My son is 32 pounds and this fits him on the last snap. I do question if it would fit a 40 lb child because it's snug on him, but I also know they lean out a little as they grow, so it's entire possible they would go up that high. -Effectiveness: I haven't had a poop incident in these yet, but given how they fit I feel confident it would be contained well. The elastic is snug around his thighs and waist. -Value: Two of these are a similar prices as one of the other. I'm so glad I got the 2 pack because we've had a few days where there's swim lesson in the morning and then we go to the pool in the evening. This gives plenty of drying time. -Versatility: I love that I can use these for my 1 year old nephew when he comes over or any other age of kid below 40 lbs. We have a pool within a block of us and we spend a ton of time there. Last summer I used disposable swim diapers and that got expensive. I wish I would've bought these sooner! Overall, no complaints! Definitely a good value and you have peace of mind knowing they will fit and your child can use them for a few summers. Update Aug 4th, 2016: We had a poop incident. Actually we had come home from boating. My son had been jumping off the swim step and playing in the water. We came home before changing him out of the diaper. When I took off his swim trunks I could smell the poo. I don't know at what point he went, whether it was in the water or the one block golf cart ride home. But it was contained well in the diaper. We hosed it off and threw it in the washing machine and it came out looking new. Phew! Glad we have these reusable diapers. Since we use them daily I know they've paid themselves off by not having to buy throw away ones.

First reusable swim diaper for baby swimming lessons. Very adjustable, almost confusingly so with how many buttons there are. They get the job done though.

This will be a gift so can’t speak to substantiating any claims but they were received quickly, well packed and are very cute.

My toddler is turning 18 months and used these since she was 3 months old. They are great! We (luckily) cannot speak to their ability to hold in solids (which is actually one reason I was waiting on the review so long) but given how adjustable they are I definitely feel more secure having our baby in these over the Pampers ones we also have used which never fit her just right. Also, since I was one of the many people who at first thought pee coming through swim diapers meant a poor fit, I want to add that these and most other swim diapers are advertised as being meant to hold in solid waste (if they held in liquids, the diapers would get all poofy!).

Been using these since last summer and they work great as long as you can get them on a squirmy kid but my daughter is only 27 pounds and its already barely fitting her so no way the large would fit a 55lb baby

Snaps are fiddly to get on and all adjusted to the correct and best fit with squirmy kids, but the adjustable fit is worth it in my opinion. Tried these diapers (ZSW one size adjustable for 18-55lbs, larger size than SW series adjustable swim diaper). Tried these on a 26 month-old, 24lbs with chunky thighs and tummy. I have tried so many other versions of swim diapers and most would be too tight on her thighs and leave red marks, or have so much extra material in the bum or groin area that they would end up very saggy-baggy and not a good fit. Tried iPlay, Bummis, Nageuret, BabyNeo, Happy Nappy, various pull-on briefs, preferred these Alva Baby. She did not complain when they were on, she forgot they were even on her (good sign she's comfortable) and even peed in them and they held a pee to my surprise with no leaks or dampness on the outside. Easy to come off of her without having to pull them down and off of her. Fit snug around waist and thighs so I am confident they would trap any solids in the event of a poop in the pool. We tried these on a spindly/petite 22-mo-old who is 18lbs; these fit her snugly when adjusted to smallest sizing, but looked quite baggy around her bum and crotch area, a lot of extra material. I would buy the SW series for her for a better fit. I like that these can OPEN ON THE SIDES in the event of a poopy mess: this has happened to us before. Pulling off a tight, clingy wet diaper filled with watery poop is NO fun, it gets all over your kid and your fingers when you try to carefully hoist/pull it off. Yucky. Another PLUS is all of the cute prints available from ALVA, and the lower price point. Very pleased.

No need to buy packs of disposable swimmers that don’t end up getting used. These are great quality, fit snug and easy to clean
