What an excellent book! Well written and keeps your attention. I still don't understand how dassey and avery are still in jail. Unbelievable. A 110% excellent job writing this book!

If you want to know the truth about Steven Avery, this is the book for you. I read the author's other works, and they are all great. We need more books like this that tell the truth. You may ask yourself, how does this affect me? If this can happen to Steven Avery, it can happen to anyone.

What a great read! The author conveys passion for the subject but stays on point to the facts. There is some repetition but, the repetitive points are important and fit in each place they’re found. Very informative with regards to things left out of the trial and books written from the prosecution’s side. Loved the deep dive into all of the newly discovered evidence as well!

I like the documentary type content presented by the author in an easy to follow logically that is not just "hearsay". His information is fully documented with references. I would recommend that especially anyone that watched Convicting a Murderer read this book. I watched part of that program & found absolutely nothing new, only twisting hearsay events to vilify Avery. There were numerous instances of twisting misinformation aimed at Avery. Nothing presented was new evidence of guilt that would be allowed in a court of law. I found it easy to keep my interest enough to "binge" read.

I like the book because there are a few facts in the book that are not in the Netflix documentary. However it does jump around a lot so it makes it a little hard to follow. Also there are SO MANY typos that I have started to highlight them all. The first one is on the back cover itself. Makes me want to write the publisher and off my proofreading services! All in all good book!

Great book; very easy read; puts the facts of the case in writing. Clearly shows the bungling of the investigation, the quick to arrest decision made to prosecute Steve Avery based on shoddy evidence, and highlights the corruption of those in office at the time of the Manitiwoc DA and Sheriff Office to ensure this murder was pointed to Steve Avery. I am hopeful the Governor or new state Attorney General will allow the appeal of the case to be brought forward based on the evidence of the poor investigative work of the Law Enforcement Agencies involved. Fell very sad for the Avery family.

What happened to these 2 men is horrible and unjust. Read in 3 days new information as well. FREE STEVEN AVREY AND BRENDAN DASSEY

Thank you Mr. Ferak for writing this book and the countless hours you spent researching and pointing out all the problems with this case. The work both you and Kathleen are doing will hopefully get Steven out very soon. The information in this book sickens me about false imprisonment, which I'm sure was your intent to the reader.

First of all, I would like to start this review by stating I have watch both series of MaM and I am fascinated by this case. I thought the book, written by John Ferak was brilliant. It covers evidence and theories that were either not covered at all in the tv series or covered very little. The significant covering of the corruption and poor handling of the case by the sheriffs office was amazing and it shows how sometimes, the police can be as guilty as criminals. The main focus of the book was to examine the evidence surrounding the involvement of Bobby Dassey and Scott Tadych as potential perpetrators of the crime. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in the Avery-Dassey trials as it will leave you wanting more.

Loved the book. I have seen the documentary and the book is a written summary of all the findings and some additional info on the people involved. Great price for a great read. Arrived as usual on time and in perfect condition.

Very thorough & earthy coverage of the case details and all the environmental factors that contributed & still contribute to this miscarriage of justice. This book puts everything into context! A must read for sure!
