Excellent smooth flavor
After seeing a documentary on the blue zones talking about honey I searched for and found this one. At first, I was taken back by the price, hence the 4 stars for value but it is the best honey I have ever tasted. It is hard to articulate but it doesn't hit the taste buds with the overpowering sweet sugar taste like most honey's. We have a lot of honey growing farmers around us and their honey is good but this one is in a class all its own. Definitely recommend.

Unlike ANY other honey you've ever tasted
I'll begin by saying that, yes, I am a bit of a honey-snob. In fact, I actually feel insulted when I walk through organic markets and grocery store isles to see designer-honey posing as specialty-items. Thankfully, a good friend suggested that I try this honey from Ancient Foods. At first, I was a bit surprised at the $26 cost - but it's a hefty 16oz jar of imported thyme honey from Greece. So, I splurged - and its one of the best culinary decisions I've made this year. This IRINI Greek honey is amazing! I enjoy it almost every day in tea, on waffles, in yogurt. I even glazed some chicken with it...and that too was awesome. I'm not sure why this honey is not sold in more traditional stores, but I expect that it will make its appearance in organic markets across the U.S. soon. My advice is not to wait. Get your jar of this exquisite honey as soon as possible and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I just got 9 jars of this honey and it's the consistency of peanut butter.
I'm not sure what this is, but this isn't the honey pictured. It's the consistency of peanut butter. All 9 jars are the same. If there's a customer service, I'd like to ask them why I paid so much for peanut butter. It was going to be used in a mead, but I don't want to use this anymore.

In Love with this Honey!
Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. The color of thyme honey is an amber to light amber color when in liquid form. It turns darker when it crystalizes. Maybe he's thinking of molasses. I've tried a lot of different honey, before, and this is by far the best! 100%. The honey is so smooth and substantial. It has the perfect amount of sweetness, and the flavor is spot on. The USDA-certified organic designation is a big plus for our family, as we try to cut out chemicals where we can. The honey came wrapped in a puffy bubble container then packed into a box. So, it arrived in perfect shape. We love big spinach salads with feta, blueberries, watermelon, chopped walnuts, and Ancient Foods honey. Another thing we really love is Greek yogurt with Ancient Foods honey and some blueberries or strawberries. Every time we have some, it's like we're back in Greece on vacation, having our morning tall glass of yogurt and honey! Worth every penny!!
