Spray moving parts with oil penetrant before use. Jack Works like a champ. I should buy it long time ago before I had two hernia surgeries done. This is a tool to remove 4x4 fence posts and Tposts with ease on my property. Highly recommended Hi-lift brand made in USA.

You must own this super versatile, reliable, tested and true piece of equipment PERIOD.
A must for anyone who goes off road and so much more. Extremely versatile. Often copied by other brands. You can jack up so many odd things and do so much with these things. You can jack up lifted vehicles to change a tire or get out of a hole. Change tires or manage repairs in the field on farm equipment. If you get stuck, You can winch out with these things. All you need is some chain or strap and shackle. Use it as a huge clamp or a spreader. Emergency services uses these things now. You simply have to have one of these if you ever change a tire in the field or even pavement if you have a lift or tall vehicle. Simple design. Can be easily mounted and dissembled. Hours of you-tube videos on this classic and all its uses. A friend of mine from the Army teaches foreign forces how to use these things. Before you get a winch, buy one of these. No need for a battery of a bumper mount. These things can be dangerous if you don't be careful, however, they are so darn useful. The 48' is plenty big and super versatile. Especially for clearing tree's from a road or trail. Lifting and moving heavy materials. Hi Lift is MADE IN AMERICA and the aftermarket accessories are limitless. The cost is really a great value.

Works Well, But Stock Jeep Needs LIft Mate Accessory but Narrow Base Needs Road Base
I purchased the Hi-Lift for self-rescue when off-roading in my Jeep JKU. I initially had the 42" version but with the addition of the L100 Lift Mate and its long straps and hook to attached directly to the tire, I found the 42" version would not lift the tire much above the ground so we exchanged the 42 for the 48" version. Read on for our impressions. -- WRAPPED DELIVERY: The Hi-Lift came bagged in a big silver wrap and was not boxed. That didn't seem like much protection but the lift came complete with no missing or broken parts and included instructions. -- EASY TO LIFT ONE CORNER OF JEEP: It operated correctly and was exactly as described. It was very easy to lift one corner of the Jeep JKU. -- CAREFULLY ID LIFT POINTS: FYI if you drive a Jeep Wrangler.........After inspecting my Jeep Wrangler JKU, I did discover there are NO reachable lift points with the 4.5" beak of the Hi-LIft. The stock front bumper is only vinyl and will not hold weight and will be damaged. There are no reachable lift points on the sides except for the stock side step which are not strong enough to hold without bending or breaking. Lift points on the rear stock bumper could only be reached under the tow hook. All other points on the stock Jeep will be damaged if attempting to lift there. The Hi-Lift jack lift surface is only 4.5" long, so it requires steel after-market bumpers. -- NEEDS LIFT MATE WITH STOCK JEEP: In order to use the HI-Lift with a stock Jeep, the accessory LM-100 Lift-Mate is required, which provides hooks to attach to the wheel to lift the wheel directly. We were concerned that the portion of the jack head that is against the tire might pop the bead of the tire and we saw the tire deflect quite a bit but it did not. Still before using we would probably over-inflate the tire to reduce the risk of popping the bead. -- HEAVY: Its very heavy at about 30lbs so if mounted on the rear gate, reinforced hinges should be used. -- FITS ON FLOOR OF JEEP: Even at 48" long it will fit in the back of the Jeep across the floor which is how I carry it. -- HAS HANDLE GRIPPER: It comes with an attached spring to hold the lift tube in place when storing. -- SMALL BASE: The base is too small an surface area to even allow the jack to stand up confidently on its own. The small base will sink into the ground when lifting so an extra base is needed to provide a good solid surface to push against. A road base is essential to use this jack to raise a vehicle safely. Hi-Lift has an accessory, a Road Base, that is about 12" square but I made one from wood scraps I have around the shop and it works great..

Made in USA, Buy it.
This is a replacement that I purchased because I overloaded the first two that I bought. It will take a lot of abuse, and you can bend them if you push them to the limit. If you use them as advertised, you will have no problem.

Great jack
My jack came in today. It felt nice and looked great as well. Seems to be well made and it will definitely do what it’s designed to do. Previously I had a smittybilt 54inch jack mounted to my Jeep rear bumper. It stuck out above my jeep about 8 inches which ended up being a problem so the 48inch works better for me. The smittybilt did have some nice features on it. It came with a nice grip on the handle and it came with a rubber Piece to keep it together. This one did not. Unfortunately the paint on this jack is already chipping off, But you should expect that. Over all it’s a good purchase. I don’t think there’s really a need for anything bigger than a 48inch jack unless your rig is super lifted. But if it is and you need a bigger one is go with smittybilt. Overall though this jack is great and I’m very happy with the purchase

Does it all
Love this jack. Super capable and powerful. Use it to lift and level a 10’x20’ stick built shed. Follow directions and LUBE. Safe up and safe down. Great design and incredible price. Would like to see HiLift offer the top 90o claw as an accessory sold separately if no longer included with this particular jack.

I love this. The best brand, super quality, easy to use. It will definitely outlast me. One thing to keep in mind: it is heavy as sin so only get the big one if you need it. I probably could have gotten away with the smaller size, but I still love it!

I pulled pipes out that were hammered into water (10 ft. In mud) to hold my dock. It was better than expected. Strong. Well made. Works great. Well painted . Some reviews state jack goes down to bottom when latch is released to lower , this true but only if there is no weight on the jack when lowering. This actually makes sense rather than having to click many times to bring jack to bottom after use. Definitely recommend.
