Sidewalk Story

Really loved everything about this book. Worth the money and the time spent reading it. Story moves along perfectly, pictures form in your mind as you read, meaningful message. Looking for other books by this author. Highly recommend!

For a child this is a good book. It has "shut up" a few times but otherwise no inappropriate language. The storyline is a bit advance (friend getting evicted) and it seems like there should be more substance to this book, but again, it's for younger kids. The word choice is on-level reading for a 7&8 year old.

Sidewalk story was my absolute favorite childhood story. This was 43 years ago, so once I had a daughter, I was so excited I was able to purchase the book and share it with her. She too fell in love with the passion Lillie Etta had for Tonya’s situation. Helping a friend in need is always a blessing.

Loved this book.it shows how children deal with being evicted and feeling helpless.embarassed about people knowing.im glad it had a Happy ending.i didnt like how their belonging go to be put outsids for people to see

Great Summer Reading. Also a valuable teaching story about the sacrifices some parents have to make and the impact it can leave on children.

Great story for young girls 8-10 yrs. old, especially those not exposed to inner-city hardships.

Good reads

Brought this book for my daughter she reads it every night before she goes to bed. Keeps her interested and quiet.
