Works great. Well made.
After watching the video I sharpened a set of planer blades with this tool. Very easy and gives a nice sharp edge.

I should of purchased this years ago!
This thing works great. I sharpen my own thickness planer and jointer blades by myself now. I should of purchased this years ago. Does a much better job than any sharpener I sent my blades too. Well worth the money.

Nice tool, but I wish they had applied some ...
Nice tool, but I wish they had applied some sort of polyurethane finish at the factory. Unfinished wood + water + metal dust = uuuugly. Plus the wood can't handle the moisture. The wood on mine is splitting near the slots that hold the metal channel inserts. Do yourself a favor and treat with boiled linseed oil or polyurethane before using.

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOUR KNIVES ARE SET TO 45 DEGREES.
Poorly built. Set hex screws are are impossibly small. The sunken hole they are set in is at an angle that makes it impossibe to acess with an Allen wrench. While is "looks pretty" remember beauty is not everything. Build you own jig from UTube. Fuethermoer, the angle is set peemantely to 45 degrees, cannot be changed. No instructions, no support. Go elsewhere.

Expensive, but worth it.
A little overpriced, but totally worth it. Has the correct angle for sharpening my Vevor planer blades. Sprayed on some gloss polyurethane to keep the quality of the finish looking good. Definitely makes sharpening blades simple. Should save a lot of money being able to sharpen blades instead of buying new ones.

Super easy to use but you need quality stones
High quality and extremely stable when knives are tighten to the jig.

Decent value for a great concept. Saves $$$
This is a great concept, and is perfect for someone wanting to save some money on blades! I put reclaimed wood through my planer constantly, and hit nails way more often than I would like, so sharpening blades is a must! This does the job, but I have a few complaints: Pros: Allows you to save $20-40 on each set of blades you can sharpen. You can sharped a set of blades multiple times as well, prolonging their life. Easy to use and set up. Simple concept. Provides a decent edge. Cons: The angle is not quite right for my planer-this may not be the case for all planers, but for my Delta/Porter Cable blades, the angle is off. This means that only a portion of the blade gets sharpened. Also, the sharpened edge is not nearly as durable or as sharp as factory. I'm still perfecting the technique and setup, but my results haven't been spectacular.

A Super Great Company
I cant give this company enough stars! ****** There was nothing to dislike. The sharpener does a fantastic job on planer blades. Very impressed with the tool itself. Customer service is the best I have ever had! I would highly recommend this company. They are stellar!!

I used this product the same day it arrived on x2 planer blades which I was about to throw in the bin, as the were so badly chipped they resembled a bread knife. I turned my belt sander upside down and set to a slow speed and within 2 minutes the chips were gone and blades were razor sharp. I then finished them off on a sanding board and after a further 2-3 mins later the blades are like new. An excellent high quality product that i'd recommend to anyone who owns a planer thicknesser.
