RYOBI ONEAND 18V Lithium-ION Cordless PEX TUBING CLAMP Tool Tool ONLY P660

So this thing works very well. It's fairly effortless to run and it's easy to have one hand holding things in place with the other running this tool. However, I bought this before I bought the regular hand tool, and if I had bought the hand tool first and used it enough I probably would not have bought this battery operated crimper. The hand tool works fine, it's not as convenient and it will definitely wear you out if you're going to be doing it all day but I am working at home on projects for irrigation and plumbing repair. This battery operated crimper was really overkill for me. Even if you already have Ryobi batteries and tools I don't think you're going to want to buy this unless you are doing multiple jobs. If you are this is an awesome tool to use.

I am a DIYer and was looking for a cordless Pex pinch clamp tool. Did I really need one? NO. I already have a manual ratcheting Pex clamp tool for my RV that is plumbed with Pex but I am in the process of remodeling my master bath and am going to use PEX so it is an excellent excuse to buy one...plus I like tools and gadgets. I purchased the tool only, along with a battery adapter so I can use my DeWalt 20V Max batteries in it. This tool is well built and has some weight to it. It does not feel cheap and it has a nice beefy feel to it in your hand. FYI, This tool is for the PEX pinch cinch clamps, the tool pinches the clamp from the side. This tool is NOT for the Pex Crimp clamps rings , the tool that goes around the whole PEX clamp and squeezes it down. The tool works great and cinches the clamp tight. The great thing about using this tool is that you only need one hand to make the crimp. You can hold the PEX pipe tight against the fitting with one hand and use the tool with the other to make a perfect crimp. With the ratcheting hand tool you need both hands to use the tool. I really like this tool and recommend it...

Did not work out of the box and one star for first review due to that. Edit a week later.. I bought another one via local Home Depot and it works great. I absolutely love it. Not sure why the one from Amazon store didn't work.. but I wanted to try another as I really needed something for the tight places. Works great one handed!

I'm a retired plumber, so I didn't get the chance to work much with pex systems. You guys really have it easy these days for sure! I bought this tool for some small jobs around the neighborhood and I love it. Works great, Ryobi out did themselves with this little gem. As an older guy, I was running some 1" pex and discovered I couldn't do many 1" clamps manually, 1/2 and 3/4 were my max, but the 1" required a lot more hand strength and that's where this handy dandy tool shined for me. Great Tool, fun to use:)

It saves a lot of man power when you need to crimp many fittings. I would give 5 stars but I found that the manual crimper was able to squeeze a little bit more the ring than the power tool. However there are leaks so far after over 100 crimps with water pressure of a 70 psi.

This tool makes PEX stainless steel cinch rings work as reliably as the coppler crimp rings. I like to use pex tubing for underground irrigation for my yard and mini orchard. As my irrigation need change I need to move my pex lines from time to time. I used copper crimp rings on lines that had constant water pressure and stainless steel cinch rings on other tubing. I prefer stainless because in general I can remove it without having to cut out tubing around the couplings. This tool allows me to place the cinch rings more exactly and is much more precise on the tighthess of the cinch. I run 100PSI on my irrigation lines which will often leak without very exact placement and exact cinching depth. Before I could only get reliable joints with the copper clamp rings. Now with this tool every joint is very near perfect, tight, and drip free.

This tool gives the rings a perfect crimp. You can't make as nice a crimp with a hand crimper. Only negative is it is a little heavy.

It’s sweet works really good

Excellent tool. Have used it for several around the house jobs such as a tankless water heater install and a dishwasher repair. Uses the pinch rings which are much better then the standard crimp rings if you are working over your head (say in an unfinished basement).

I bought this to re plumb a house . Best purchase I could have made . Completed the whole house in a weekend . The tool is small yet powerful , built in light to confirm the ring was crimped to the right diameter. Zero Issues . Part of the Ryobi 18 volt ONE + system . I have rid my tool collection of Dewalt ( not the quality they once were) and now have 10 tools that use the ONE + , even older ryobi tools can use the ONE + batteries

This tool did not come with a battery but I use a 2aH in it and it lasts for hundreds of crimps. I haven't had a leak yet and it's great in small spaces.
