Aspen Kay Naturals Handmade Dead Sea Mud Soap Bar, Activated Charcoal & Pure Essential Oils, 4.5 oz Bar

I ordered this soap (bar) for my ketosis pilaris (kp) after reading and reviewing the top 10 soaps for people with kp. OMG!!!!! LOVE - love everything about this bar of soap. I started using it on 10/22/19 & immediately saw a difference in my skin. The build layer of skin and residue from other soaps/lotions was immediately gone. My upper arms, where I have kp, felt softer and the rough bumpy skin was gone. I put my lotion on after using it in the shower and my skin actually absorbed the lotion (like it's supposed to)!!! I have used it on my face 1x/week and it's amazing! Three weeks now and the red bumps from kp are almost gone, my skin is soft and smooth, any residue build up is gone and my body's natural pH is back!!! I won't ever use anything else - absolutely work the price!!!! In one review someone broke the bar in 1/2. I also did break the bar in 1/2 to help it go further & I'm glad I did. The scent at first use/opening of the box was strong but not unpleasant. After 2 uses it faded and I haven't noticed the scent like I did. I feel it's a neutral scent for female or male. This isn't a "moisturizer" bar of soap, so you do need to use lotion after for moisturizing, but it allows your skin to absorb the lotion, like it truly supposed to. I have recommended this soap to a few other people & they have loved it!!! If you have kp, sensitive skin or want a soap to clear the residue, clean your skin and balance your natural pH, I wholeheartedly 100% recommended this soap & company! They have other soaps - check them out!!!

I'd like to begin by saying that this soap is literally a miracle! I have suffered from cystic acne and generally troubled skin for the last three years and this soap has worked wonders on my face.Dead sea and mud are generally as miracle beauty products, and as a result you may run into many counterfeits/products with a nice label but no substance. Aspen Kay however did ntofail to dissapoint, the ingredients are as simple as can be and the results I've had with this siap have been remarkable. It has a clean and invigorating scent that everyone in my residence hall loves! It also leaves your face feeling minty cool and fresh after washing ,a trait distinct to this particular soap. I know this because I've used about four different varieties of Aspen Kay on my face. I definitely recommend this soap bar for anyone who is looking for something to alleviate acne, itchy, or dull skin. Keep in mind however that everyone's skin is different , so what works for me may not necessarily work for you. The soap bar alone however was not what delivered results. The key to my regimen was using this soap in conjunction with a rotating face brush. This helped to ensure that the ingredients penetrated my pores. Whenever I want to give my face some extra pampering , I oil it with almond oil , rinse the almond oil off , and then proceed to scrubbing with the brush saturated in Aspen Kay. If you want your skin to thrive, I recommend investing in this soap, almond oil, and a quality moisturizer . I like to use Shea butter as a moisturizer! I hope that you all give this soap a try and I also hope that it changes your skin as much as it has changed mine!

I have had 'problem skin' since I was a teen, and have gone through multiple medical approaches from antibiotics through Accutane with painful side jaunts with Retinols, and have spent more money than I care to think about on products targeted for people like me - moderate to severe persistent acne, oily skin, T-zone troubles, etc. Athough some medications worked, the side effects did not make them long term solutions for me. All of them left me with dry, peeling, and unhealthy looking skin, all natural moisture whisked away, my skin parched but not noticeably clearer. I spent even more on foundation and coverup, but when you have pimples large enough to cast a shadow, there is only so much makeup can do. I saw this product and read the reviews and thought why not at least try it. I too had changed my diet, gone to natural whole foods, cut out sugary, processed products and sodas, and although my weight went down, sadly my acne outbreaks did not. I have been using this Dead Sea Mud soap bar for 10 days, and I am already seeing improvement in my skin texture and, well, topography. I still have pimples, but they are fewer and smaller than before, and are clearing up more quickly than I would have though possible. The experience of washing my face with this soap is almost luxurious, the lather is soft, silky and fragrant. It leaves my skin feeling a little dry, but unlike all the harsh cleansers, toners and exfoliating scrubs I have used in the past, not stripped. Even if I do not follow up with moisturizer, the dryness fades as my skin comes back into balance leaving my face feeling soft and looking better than it has in recent memory. Needless to say, I am recommending this to friends and family, and have the delightful task of going through every bathroom drawer and medicine chest and throwing out the many products that I have been using to combat my 'problem skin'.

I found this dead sea mud soap bar in a list of "Best Amazon Buys" online somewhere and after reading the reviews, I really wanted to try it. I have been using this soap as my in-shower face and body wash for the past two years and I will continue buying it until they run out. I love the smell of the soap but the best thing is that it has helped me tame my random breakouts. I have been very fortunate not to have very much acne as I was growing up and now as a 28 year old adult. I have combination skin (oily in the summer, dry in the winter) and it is a bit sensitive and I cannot use anything that's not "oil free" or I will break out. I will break out every now and then if I use a new face moisturizer or accidentally using a non-oil-free makeup remover wipe in a pinch. When I started taking an IUD birth control two years ago, my face broke out quite a bit more than usual and nothing seemed to help until I started using this soap. It can stick to your hands a little when you first pick it up (like those annoying hotel soaps) but once you put it under water and start lathering it on, that feeling goes away and your skin is left soft and you just feel so much cleaner. The bar will get gunky if you leave it wet in the shower but I just keep mine in a travel soap holder and wash it out every once in a while.

This is a great soap bar. I've been gradually trying to transition to natural products, and changing my face wash was next on the list. After countless hours of searching, I decided to settle on this soap bar. The price may be a little off putting, and it was initially for me. However, I also recently switched to using a soap bar as a body wash to replace soap gel, and the soap bar lasts much, much longer. Because of this, I decided to settle on using a natural soap bar instead of some soap in a squeeze bottle or can--I just personally think it will last you longer. Note: Buy a soap box to keep it dry...if it's constantly in contact with moisture, obviously it won't last you as long. Now the product itself. It comes neatly packaged and does have a scent, but it's not overpowering. The scent is noticeable, but does not linger on the skin. This will dry your face out...I'm assuming its due to the activated charcoal. But that's a good thing--activated charcoal binds deeply to remove impurities my face instantly felt refreshed. I noticed that it does contain moisturizing ingredient, so perhaps the dryness resulted from how rough I can be sometimes. But if you find yourself in the same boat, I would invest in a good toner (I recommend Thayers) and facial cream (I recommend St. ives collagen elastin). I noticed that just using a facial moisturizer alone barely did the job...putting toner on your skin first and then moisturizer will keep your face feeling moisturized longer. I highly recommend this soap.

I’ll give this charcoal soap a 3star rating for now. Here’s my situation. I’m a middle aged girl who finally got my PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) problem skin under control and cleared up around late 20’s when suddenly creeping up in my 30’s my pores decide they are gonna be big and obnoxious. Nothing is helping. So I decided to give this soap a try. I like the scent. The soap leaves my face feeling so smoothe and clean after scrubbing and not dry, tho I still moisturize. For that day my face is good, but the next day the break outs start. It’s been a cycle for 3wks now, and while on week 3 I have noticed that my pores appear smaller and my skin smoother (besides the pimples) I am still breaking out. It is maybe a little better and tends to be the worst on my forehead. They are big and painful and nothing like what I usually get. It’s starting to defeat the purpose of small pores when I have a face full of pimples. I will give it another week or 2 and see because I really like to see my pores shrinking. The box does say there is a “detox” period of about 2wks so maybe my face is just still detoxing....? I will try to remember to update if it improves. If not then assume the worst and consider the risks when using.

This is probably my fourth or fifth bar that I’ve purchased and I keep coming back because it works so great on my skin. My skin isn’t the type to break out, but this leaves my skin feeling nice and clean without feeling like it’s drying it out. I would definitely recommend and will definitely keep purchasing.

I have spent hundred and hundreds of dollars on skincare products for the face. I used Ivory soap for awhile and that was okay, I have combination skin, so it never got very bad but those annoying blackheads would always be on my nose, no matter what I did. Now, I don’t have a history of acne or breakouts, so when I saw the first week of having a few pimples where I had never gotten them before, I was alarmed, but I started strong. I knew that this was a detoxifying bar and was ridding my skin of impurities. I worked in a warehouse in 2010, I had a very bad mishap where Drano (lye) was spilled onto my skin, and I swear since that day my body has not been the same. It got everywhere, on my face, chest, legs, and arms. I am very happy to report that this is the best I have felt in a long time. This soap is fantastic, the best I have ever used, hands-down. I’m trying to tell as many people as I can about it because it is phenomenal. It gives you a wonderful boost of confidence. I know it was lacking for years, as the anxiety of the blackheads on my nose would also make me nervous around people and I didn’t want to get too close so they would see them. It was rough, but I powered through. I want you to buy a couple bars, use one on your face and one on your body, they seem to last a while, sometimes two showers a day is my regimen and the bar for my face has lasted more than a few months and he one for my body will last maybe a month and a half. You don’t need many moisturizers afte using this soap, I use a little jojoba oil afterwards, but you do not need much. I really appreciate you taking the time to read my review of this life-changing soap. It is a product of most excellent quality, made with care, their customer service is impeccable and their great sense of consideration and concern captures the essence of what a great product should be. A product that presents great value, you know you are spending good money on it but it is so worth it because it helps you, and actually saves you money from trying so many products to finally find one that’s right for you.
