Amazing product that saved our sanity at night.
Love it. It has been a total live saver. If you’re on the fence about whether you need a dedicated shusher, let me tell you—you do. Our LO loves rhythmic noise, and while making the "shushing" sound ourselves works, it’s exhausting to do for 20 minutes straight at 3 a.m. The Baby Shusher mimics a parents voice perfectly. It has two timer settings (15 and 30 minutes), which is usually more than enough time to get our LO to drift off or calm down. It’s small enough to toss in the diaper bag so easy to use on the go. Has an adjustable volume which comes in handy when a loud crying spell comes on, and easy and simple to use. No apps or screens. Just twist the top to turn it on. It has definitely made our bedtime routine much smoother. Highly recommend for any exhausted new parent!

Sis takes this everywhere
*edit* my sis said she used this for about a month and it just stopped working. She replaced the batteries and still nothing. Hoping we can get a replacement one. It worked GREAT up until it crapping out though. I still think it's a great buy, just stinks that it doesn't work anymore. I bought this for my sis, who just had her first baby last week. I bought it solely based on a blogger that I follow who said and I quote "we don't go anywhere without it"...that's all I needed to hear to buy it. They've had it for 4 days and it's always wherever the baby is. They said it calms my nephew down when they change his diaper (pre-Shusher he would get fussy). It helps him sleep and just provides great white noise. It's ridiculously easy to use. Three notches are for 30 min, 15 min and off, it's basically goof-proof. The price seemed a little high for it just shooshing but I babysit and shooshing with your own mouth gets tiring after 10 or 15+ min and my mouth starts to go numb, plus you can't talk, so this is definitely gets an A+ just for that alone. They haven't had it long enough to give feedback on the battery life, but I think it takes batteries, and you can get them at the dollar store, so I don't foresee that being an issue. I'm honestly debating getting one for myself, to take with me when I babysit, for my box of tricks. I also love this because it's portable, the other huge plus, most kids I sit for have sound machines, which are great, but they stay plugged into the wall and don't get moved around, this is light and easy to toss in a bag or place next to the car seat on a car ride.

Works great!
The photographer used it during my baby’s newborn pictures and it was like magic. I ordered one before the shoot was over and use it daily. Highly recommend!

Best baby product!!
Amazing! One of my top baby products we use. Every baby needs this. Definitely helps baby calm down. I highly recommend! I also like how small it is. It’s easy to travel with. You can adjust the noise level to what you want.

Good product with some flaws
This baby shusher was a lifesaver for getting my newborn to sleep in the early months! I would recommend. Took one star off for a few reasons: -Turning it on/off makes a clicking noise that sometimes woke my baby -max time is 30 minutes, sometimes my baby would wake up from a nap when it stopped -wish it was designed in a way that you could set it standing up on a hard surface and still hear the noise

Must have
If you are new parent or buying for a new parent! This is an absolute must have. I did not purchase this until my baby was about a month old and I wish I had it so much sooner. As a new mom or dad when you are trying to settle a very cranky baby you find your self shushing so what feels like hours. This thing does the shushing for you! Saving your checks, jaws and lips from over tiredness. It can be really quiet of really loud, I love how adjustable it is. It is compact so you can easily take this everywhere with you. It will calm your baby! Only downfall is that it is runs on a 15 minute or 30 minute timer. You will have to restart it after the times done as there is jo way to keep in on as a constant noise.

A great idea wrapped in terrible, cheap product design, sold at a premium price.
This thing was SUCH a disappointment. They took a great idea and just made a completely terrible product. For $10 I'd be fine with this, but for $35, it's going back. The pros: I does make a "shhhhhh" sound, which is great. And now the cons (you might want to freshen your quarantine cocktail): - It makes a shushing sound, but it will only do it for 15 or 30 minutes. If you want to shush longer, like all night for instance, you will have to keep getting up to cycle the power. Maybe they knew a constant-on would burn through batteries too fast (more on that in a min). The fact that you can't just set it to ON and leave it running is the primary reason I have decided this device is useless to me and needs to go back. - It is a highly directional speaker, meaning you can hear it pretty well if it's facing right at you, but it sounds very quiet if it's pointed away from you. But they designed it like a torpedo, so you can't stand it up with the speaker pointing at the baby's head. The speaker faces down if you stand it upright. The only flat surface is the one the speaker points at, so if you lay it on something next to the baby like a night stand, it might very well roll away. It will stay put just fine if you put it on a soft surface, like next to the baby's head in a crib, but that violates Safe Sleep protocol. A product design that incentivizes people to break Safe Sleep rules sounds like terrible design to me. - It's not super loud, so it has to be pretty close to the baby's head, depending on how loud you need the shushing. I bought this thing for the times when my baby is really pissed and I need pretty aggressive shushing, and it just doesn't cut it. The volume is fine for if baby is already calm and sleeping, but does nothing to soothe a baby that's already crying because it's not loud enough for him to hear over the noise he's already making. - Battery life. As others have said, buy lots of batteries. Why they didn't make this thing USB rechargeable like everything else is beyond me. At $35, it needs to have a rechargeable internal battery, like the $12 white noise machine we have. - Battery access: when the batteries die, first you'll think "didn't I just replace these?". Then you'll say "crap, it's 4AM, I have a screaming infant, and I have to go find some batteries AND a screwdriver". What fun! Some may say this is a safety consideration, but I challenge you to find an infant that needs a shusher that could possibly summon up the dexterity to get batteries out of a standard snap-on battery cover. My toddler could do it, but toddlers don't need this thing. When you put it back on, the battery cover lid is also the power switch, so don't screw it on too tight or you won't be able to turn it on. - Dead on arrival: this is a product that's designed to soothe unhappy babies. That means when a parent gets this, they're probably a little exhausted and frustrated. This is exactly the kind of product that needs to work when it arrives. I found a bunch of heavy grease (inexplicably inside of the battery compartment) covering the electrical contacts on the screw on cap, preventing it from turning on. I really, really wanted to like this thing. I was so excited to get it, and then so disappointed at how poorly this great idea was executed. What's worse, they basically have the market cornered - in a greenfield market, they could have made slight changes and actually had an excellent product. For $35, that's what they needed to do. But I cannot bring myself to spend that much money on a product that is so incredibly poorly and cheaply designed.

10/10 idea, 2/10 execution
After realizing how much my baby likes being shushed, I ordered one of these from the hospital 36 hours after giving birth. It definitely helps to soothe him and has spared me countless hours of shushing him myself. I’d consider it a necessity if you have an infant. That said, I’ve had a real love/hate relationship with this thing over the last several months. It’s like someone with a baby had this amazing idea for a product, and then left the design to someone who’s never had a baby, and maybe has never even seen one on TV. The design is awful. Why is it a twist on/off? That’s not easy to do with one hand when you’re holding a baby, especially given how wide the end is. Same with the volume. Also why is there no perma-on setting? It’s nice to have it auto shut off sometimes, but it can take a lot longer than 15 minutes to soothe a baby, so would be nice to control how long it’s on for. Also - the shape??? Try putting that down on a shelf or end table without making noise and risking it rolling right off. Because you can’t put it on the only flat end, that’s where the sound comes out. So you have to lay it down, but as a cylindrical item, it rolls. Truly terrible design, but the shushing itself is great.

Good product, short lived
It worked great, baby loved it, incorporated it into bedtime and naps and it was great. The design is brilliant because it can live in the crib with baby safely and it’s better than an app because it frees up your phone and you don’t have to worry about someone calling or something and distrusting baby. It’s worth it. Only lasted about 6 months, then stopped working... but at that point baby didn’t need it anymore so I was okay with it.
