How much monacolin K is in this product?

Per FDA Regulations, there should be minimal to no monacolin K in OTC Red Yeast Rice supplements sold in the US. The regulations were changed, according to research I've done, and OTC supplements are not allowed to have this.  Note that Designs for Health only states "monacolin K has been shown to reduce cholesterol levels" NOT that their product has it, because their product cannot have it, per FDA regulations. According to the FDA, red yeast rice products that contain monacolin K should be considered a drug, Many supplements contain only trace amounts of monacolin K. Unsure if these RYR supplements are as effective as true red yeast rice with the monacolin K. Only Red yeast rice products that contain substantial amounts of monacolin K can lower blood cholesterol levels. Researchers have not reported results of any studies of red yeast rice products that contain little or no monacolin K, so whether these products have any effect on blood cholesterol is unknown

What is the expiration date for one bottle?

My bottle does not have the blue label; it has a maroon label. The only date on my bottle is "manufactured 08/15." The expiration date could have been on the clear plastic overwrap, but I had to remove that to open the bottle and discarded the overwrap. This manufacturer's information is vague and the company is not very helpful. The first time I called them to find out if the product is vegan they told me I had to get permission from my physician before they'd talk to me! The second time I called them they said they'd have to check, put me on hold, and then came back on the line to tell me it is vegan.
