Updated 12/17/22: Ok so I don’t know what I did with my original clippers so I bought a second set and I still love them! The design has been updated instead of the white ceramic it’s now black. The noise level is still very quiet and the vibration is lower than expected and it’s a positive for me! I use these for my oldest kitty who turns 10 next year(Ragdoll and Calico mix) because she is both deaf and blind and doesn’t understand grooming and clippers and is extremely sensitive to touch. She can’t groom herself anymore and sometimes has accidents with her back end so it’s easier on her and me if I shave back there. I had to use a pair of out old clippers(for humans) and she didn’t tolerate it well. With these she’s calm, holds perfectly still and doesn’t try to run away and hide or try to claw or bite. It’s harder on her to use a clean damp cloth to wipe her clean so getting these again was a blessing! They’re quick, precise, quiet, low vibration, and I recommend them to anyone who has to shave/trim their fur babies. Original review: I got this because I had at the time 2 dogs and 2 cats(now 3 cats and no dogs). The dog and cat I got this specifically for was a Pomeranian and a Ragdoll/Calico mix because of long hair. For the Pomeranian it was for maintenance on her bathroom area because if it wasn’t shaved off in the back she would get matted bathroom business in her fur and for the Ragdoll/Calico mix she has dry skin, skin allergies and seasonal allergies that flare up along with allergies to fleas and hotspots.(for dry skin I use coconut oil or olive oil and let sit for 1-7 days and bathe. Ask your vet what they recommend.) Both animals did not do well with new people, the vet, or the groomers. This groomers kit is extremely convenient and affordable for what it does and it’s very quiet, works wonderfully, easy to maintain, and it made grooming so much more easy, convenient and enjoyable for them and me. I have 3 cats now and due to fleas I had to shave my Ragdoll/Calico mix, and my domestic shorthair.(youngest never needed shaved thank goodness) It made it safer and easier to groom them at home because they get carsick, the domestic shorthair is extremely wary and does not handle strangers well and it was less stress on them to do this at home. I recommend trimming nails beforehand because with cats(and dogs) their nails can shred you pretty badly. Talk in soft and gentle tones, give lots of praise, and lots of cuddles and treats after it’s all said and done. As it is, my cats get baths regularly every 1-2 months, nails trimmed every week, and as spring hits my eldest gets shaved down completely about twice a year sometimes 3, and about every 2-3 weeks to shave her bathroom area because she can no longer groom herself. I highly recommend this to anyone who has issues with their pets and the groomers so long as you are comfortable with doing this, have some knowledge or experience with this because you do have to be extremely careful with grooming. If you aren’t careful you can end up cutting them so make sure you stay calm and keep them calm and keep a steady hand. The clipper guards to help with length of the coat help but always be careful with trying to groom at home.

I was hesitant to buy this since there were others that had wonderful reviews and were half the price BUT I decided to buy it and pay more because it seemed to have good grooming items in addition to the machine and came in a nice bag which is quite handy to keep everything organized and stored in one place. Im glad I did. It is very convenient, practically no noise and my dog did not move once, he was comfortable the entire time!!! I'm not paying for grooming anymore lol, between this one, the items that come with it and the nail clippers I just bought, Im done with exposing my dog to long and stressful sessions with groomers that I dont know if when they are having a bad day treat my dog with love. And I also hate that I pay for full grooming service and they take their time to hand me over my dog. NO MORE! DONT BE HESITANT AND BUY IT. SPARE YOUR DOG TO BE TOUCHED AND GROOMED BY PEOPLE YOU DONT KNOW HOW THEY ACTUALLY TREAT HIM AFTER HAVING 10000 DOGS A DAY. Do yourself and your dog a favor. See the results by yourself in my pic. Took me around 45 mins because I was going slow to see if it really worked but it should take less than that with practice and soft hair, but it seems it can handle other kinds of hair as well.

Fortunately, my long-haired cat doesn't mind being clipped. I got her used to it in the past by letting her sniff the clippers and doing short trimming times, ie maybe 5 minutes and saying sweet words to her. Now with these clippers, they are really quiet, and I was able to do most of her body at one time. They worked really well, didn't get tangled up in her fur, didn't pull, easy to hold, didn't vibrate so much your hand felt numb. Love the case, everything fits back into it. My kitty looks a bit moth eaten as I am not an expert trimmer, but that is OK. Didn't give 5 stars as I found the trimming clips hard to put on and take off again.

I REALLY like this clipper set. For the last three years I've used a corded Wahl clipper on my two furry kids. It does most of the job just fine, but that thing is HEAVY. My new Sminiker is so much lighter with a lot less noise. I was even able to remove hair between the toes without causing them discomfort, no scissors needed. Overall, I was pleased with the ease of getting into all those tight places. I don't know how long it lasts after charging because it was still going strong when I was finished. BTW, it even has a metal comb & a very nice case. If I could change anything, I'd add one more comb attachment 5/8 ".A My pups look good, my hand & arm aren't sore...I'm a happy customer.

My boy itched over half his mane off so I decided to just cut it all off. I didn’t have clippers so I hacked away with scissors and he was left with quite the unique haircut afterwards. I really wanted to fix it so he didn’t look like a goof but I’m on a tight budget and horse clippers are ridiculously expensive. So on the search I went, and stumbled upon these! They were AWESOME for hogging the rest of his mane off. With the guards they did jam up a little, so I took them off and just had the blade set to 2mm and they worked beautifully! He has a thick mane so in a few spots they did jam a tiny bit, but I think that was my fault for trying to do too much at once. When I went in smaller sections they just glided through. So my fellow horsey friends on a budget, these would be perfect for small clean ups. I don’t think they would handle full body clipping well, but for a bridle path, fetlocks, whiskers, and ears they are perfect. Very quiet and didn’t get hot while I was using them.

I decided to try this groomer because of the good reviews. I was concerned that it would be too difficult, but the price and the reviews convinced me...what the heck, give it a try. I decided to sit with my Maine Coon with the clippers. She constantly wants to be petted, so I gave her the attention she wanted. She sniffed the clippers. I turned it on and she just stared at it, wondering what it was supposed to do. These clippers have a very low hum which was nice. I reached over and pulled up a tuft of fur - the clippers just glided through it with almost no effort. She just watched. I did another tuft...then another...then another. She got up and walked away. Fine. I repeated it the next evening, sitting on the bathroom floor. Each night I picked her up and carried into the bathroom. Each night she stayed longer. Around the 6th or 7th night I just sat down and called her. She walked in and started rubbing her head against my leg. I cut some more fur off. By this many times I had taken off enough fur to fill our bathroom trash can halfway. These Maine Coon cats have a ton of fur and it comes in two coats. I had just been clipping the outer layer. But my cat was happy to shed the weight...and she probably felt cooler as well, given it was in the middle of summer. Now, my first efforts do not look that great, but I am learning how to do this trimming and I figure I will get better at it. I will come back and post a photo AFTER I get better with the clippers.

Our 11 year old Tabby, Stella, had terrible mats on her back. She's overweight and can't reach back there to groom herself, and they had just gotten out of control. Frankly, I'm embarrassed that we let them get that bad. In the past, we would catch the mats before they got too big (the size of maybe a peach pit) and then just snip them out with scissors. But this time, we couldn't. They were several very large mats clustered together and beyond being cuttable. So, I ordered these. They arrived today, I charged them up (only took about 3 hours) and then we got to work. We expected it to take a good hour to an hour and a half, because we had no idea how she would tolerate it and we thought we would have to take frequent breaks. So, we had cold drinks and kitty treats at the ready, and settled in for a grueling 60 to 90 minutes. Yeah, I don't think so. Even tho it took several minutes to get the hang of it, we were FINISHED within 20 minutes! The mats are totally gone, and she tolerated the whole procedure with zero discomfort and she didn't even seem to mind. We were very careful and went slowly so as to make absolutely certain that we didn't injure her, but within 5 minutes or so, we had the process down and it went very smoothly. The clippers definitely have a hum, but it's nowhere near as loud as I expected. No real vibration that seemed excessive or anything like that. Stella really didn't hardly bat an eyelash (but, to be fair, she is a pretty mellow cat). I am so grateful for these things!!! Absolutely amazing!!! I have been eyeballing all of our pets to see if anyone else needs a shave, LOL. I highly recommend that you look at videos online of cat grooming so you have an idea of how to use them (shave in the direction of the hair growth, things like that) and just BE CAREFUL. Great product!!!!

I purchased this clipper after my husband accidentally threw my other one away. I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this model. I have a spaniel that is super sensitive to noise and just about everything else. I've been hand grooming him, using thinning shears to remove his excess coat. I charged this up and figured, he we go, he's going to freak out! Much to my surprise he didn't mind this clipper at all! He literally had no response to it! I put on the longer, wide comb and started. He just stood there, totally unconcerned. Very nice surprise! I wanted to remove the hair from behind his ears to keep it from matting and dragging in debris from the yard. I removed the comb and was a bit surprised that it took it down like a surgical #40 blade. Removed all the hair right down to the skin. I have a long haired cat and wouldn't hesitate to use it on her should the need arise. I've owned and used a lot of clippers over the years with the animals I've owned. Corded, rechargeable, professional, high-end and economy, across multiple brands. This clipper is a very nice product. Easy to use, easy to hold. No hand fatigue, no excessive vibrations. I highly recommend this clipper!

We are very pleased with this trimmer. It charges really fast. It’s very quiet which didn’t bother him whatsoever. He just didn’t like being held still. But the back where he’s shaved, that’s where he gets his mats. It was very simple to use. It glided right through his hair and now he feels really silky. We tried the spacers, but for his hair they don’t work because his hair is too long. The scissors are really good quality. I love the metal comb that comes with it. It works excellent on little mats balls right behind his ears. Before this, I would use my husband‘s hair trimmer. It did the job, but it was noisy, heavy and harder to manage than this. This is great! His fur needs a little bit more adjusting, but that’s good enough for today and he seems quite happy now. The quality & the price is absolutely fabulous Thank you ever so much.

These work very well. I am very happy with the clippers. Now I need a video on how to be a better groomer. Fortunately my dog doesn't look in the mirror.

It comes as advertised. Quiet, minimal vibration and very easy to use. I found the scissors worked great too! I had no clue what I was doing as I have never groomed a dog, but my little Star looks great! I would totally recommend this product. I can see why others use it for their cats! It’s worth it! I was able to get it at a small discount.

Great bag, and a great kit for small dogs. I am not sure about long fur, but I have never had any issues with my Maltipoo. I always use it when I am not down to pay for professional trimming or hygienic trimming. Also, the pair of scissors are GREAT, as they are rounded and won't hurt your dog's eyes. It charges, so you won't have to be around an outlet all the time. And it is not noisy, your dog will not be scared of it.
