I LOOOOOVE this product.. I bought it because i had cut my hair pixie style because dying it just fried my hair. So i wanted my hair to grow full and healthy and i bought mega tek at first, that worked and smelled wonderful, but now that my hair was in the middle of my back it stopped growing like if thats the length it was going to stay.. I used to have long hair down to my butt and it always grows fast, but i get tired of maintaining it so i cut it through out the years... Anyway, I wanted to try a new product because the mega tek leaves your hair hard like once it dries up, like the way hair gel does. This MTG is oily/greasy, and to me it smells like bacon grease. I wear it at night so it can seep into my head and I dont have to be around people and have them ask "what's that smell?" LOL But i found a solution to that smell I added peppermint drops. I've experiemented with different oils to mask the odor. Coconut, Jamaican black castor oil, moska oil, cinnamon, and well there was always that lingering "bacon" smell until I tried peppermint.. I never measured anything in spoons or drops, I just kept pouring and skaing the bottle until I didnt smell it anymore. Or at least it didnt have a strong odor. And yes My hair has grown since then... But i added some highlights and the damn same thing happened my hair was damaged some but at least now i'm confident that I dont have to wait forever for my hair to grow.. And yes this product WILL MAKE YOU SHED.. I feel the more you use it, your scalp (body) will get used to it and you wont shed as much, but im reading shedding is like a phase you go through- so idk what to tell you about that just that you will lose hair (not like you're going to be bald, but it gets scary) and that it will be over.. I love this stuff! A little bit about why I bought it: I had my hair color treated to be blonde. I decided to dye my hair a darker color. The colorist went WAY too dark and I hated it. So I bleached my hair to get it back to its original color. I’m doing that I had to chop off like 6 inches! I was absolutely crushed because my hair never grows and it was actually long for the first time in my life. I tried the hair Jazz shampoo and conditioner and it did nothing. I tried the it works hair pills, they didn’t work. I have used this oil before so I looked through my order history and ordered it again. How I use it: I shake the bottle good to get it all mixed up. Then I use a dropper to suck up the oil and then put it directly on to my scalp. I used a generous amount on my scalp only then tie it up. I usually sleep with it in but sometimes I leave it on for an hour then wash out. YES it smells like burnt bacon. But honestly the smell is a small price I am willing to pay for faster hair growth. And to me it’s not even that bad. I’ve been using it about every 5 days and I’ve seen about 2.5 inches of growth. I use my necklace for reference I’m going to try to heat the oil before I put it on my scalp, by heating water in a bowl then placing the a ramikin of the oil into the hot water. (I’ve read that heated oil can kill the properties that help the growth) I’m also going to try to massage it into my scalp while sitting in a chair and putting my head down between my knees. This helps the blood flow to the scalp to boost growth even more. I’m extremely happy with this product. It’s the first thing that has worked for me! I am a 28 year old white female

I have been trying to get my 25 year old warmbloods tail to be healthy, and grow full and long and MTG really works to help this. It doesn't smell good, so where gloves when applying it, and apply it at night - if you put it on in the daytime, it can cause burns, so I only use it when I bring my horses in for the night. But I just rub a little bit between my gloves, then apply to the base of his tail and massage it in. I then run my gloves through the rest of his tail, and leave it alone - no brushing. I do this about 2 to 3 times a week, and the results show! His tail is getting better! This stuff may not smell good, but it works, and a little goes a long way. A 32 ounce bottle will last forever it seems. I received my MTG in good condition, it did leak a little in the box causing the Amazon driver to call me and ask if I still wanted it, and I was like of course I do! Obviously they have never smelled MTG - it must have smelled pretty bad to the driver! But the MTG was put into a plastic bag, and only a small amount had leaked out, so not a big deal. I'm just glad they didn't put anything else in the box when they shipped it - otherwise that could have been really bad.

I first found out about this oil from a girl on Youtube so I did some research and saw people getting good results with hair growth. First, let me be very honest: DO NOT SMELL this product. I was curious about the smell because I saw people saying it smelled like burnt bacon. So, I put my nose to the bottle and the smell was in my nose for at least 2 days! It does smell gross, but it is only overpoweringly strong if you purposefully smell the product. Second, get an applicator bottle to apply this oil but make sure that applicator bottle is trustworthy (by filling with water first and checking for leaks). Let the oil naturally come out of the bottle, do not squeeze it because it will create a runny mess. Also, whenever you use it, make sure you shake the bottle to mix up the sulfur. Now that that is out of the way, here's my experience: I tried doing it a few times a week but it left my scalp itchy if I left it in for an extended period of time without washing it out. I also noticed flaking on my edges if I applied the oil directly there. So when I apply the oil, I do it away from the perimeter of my head and then massage the oil towards the edges. If you apply too much oil, it will run down on your skin, so do not apply it at the perimeter just to be safe. I have tried using shampoo and conditioner (co-washing) to get the smell out and they both can remove the smell. You will think the smell is still there but trust me, it's not (unless you didn't wash it out right). I make sure to rinse my hair thoroughly before apply anything to remove the oil. I tried sleeping overnight with this and it was gross. The oil/smell permeates regardless of any precautions you take. I used two plastic bags, tied that with a scarf, AND placed a towel but my pillow still smelled like it. What I do now is I apply the oil and massage it in for a couple minutes, then I cover with a plastic bag and let it sit for at least an hour before washing it out. That's what works best for me. As for hair growth: my hair grew (which it would have done anyway) but it did seem to grow a bit faster. Nothing really noticeable since my hair is 4b and usually curly, but I do low manipulation styles to make sure to retain the growth. It can't hurt to try but make sure you get the smaller bottle because I did not realize how far it could go. Even if you apply this oil, all over your head, it still won't be a lot used and will last a long time.

This product is amazing. My horse is so sensitive to fly bites. This year she has had 2 reactions from bites this summer alone. I slathered the mtg on the area that was affected and pretty much her whole body in the morning and by the end of the day I could tell a big difference. By the next morning it was almost 100% better. I also gave her benadryl twice a day and put a fly sheet on her but I truly believe the mtg is a miracle product. Thankful to have thought to give it a try. Also her name and tail are filling in and look better than ever. The smell is not so good and the oil on it can ruin your clothes so wear barn clothes you don't mind messing up if your diva horse shakes and gets it on you. Price is kind of high. Some stores have it cheaper but if you can get it for under $17 then go for it. The cheapest I have gotten it is for just under 13 at a feed store. Great product though and worth the money if you have to spend the extra few bucks. Unfortunately the bottle came to me busted through amazon because there was just 2 air bags in it. Fortunately none leaked out though so I will just change over product to my old stinky bottle.

This product I was skeptical abou. I have been debating for 2 years if I want to try this stuff, then My hair got desperate, I needed to do something fast! I ordered and when the product came I was a little disappointed because the bottle was all bent out of place and some of the oil spilled out. I was going to send it back, but like I said I was desperate! So being that I already been contemplating on using this product for like 2years I already was prepared. I shook up the bottle and transferred some into a easier to use smaller bottle. The smell is strong so I suggest use at night, and tie up with plastic cap & silk bonnet or scarf, whatever just make sure it’s silk. Spray hair first with moisturizer or warm water then apply,. I promise I have been using this stuff for 3weeks and my hair has grown rapidly, like a chia pet! And I haven’t even started my hair vitamins yet to boost the process. This stuff has even seem to change the texture of my hair. My hair is more silky. I only use at night before bed and I tie it up. And every week I wash with sulfate free shampoo. I know it says for horses, and yeah that’s what scared me for the last past 2years, but I watched black beauty and looked at more pictures of horses, and I must say they have some beautiful tresses. So why not. I will definitely be buying again. Remember a little goes a long way. And be consistent! I hope this helps

I started in March. I put it on my scalp once a week at night, cover it, cover my pillows, sleep on it, wash thoroughly with shampoo and mint conditioner the next day. I did that while applying the Monistat 6 days a week for the first 4 months then whined off of the Monistat (March to July). During that time I did not have a Relaxer in on my roots. I continued with the Shapley's MTG. Now it's August. In 5 months so far my hair has grown from just a bit below my Neck to almost Bra length. (YAY!!). Then I did a touch-up Relaxer on my roots surrounding the top of my head only. I've ordered a second bottle and will continue this Shapely once a week until the end of the year and maybe do the Monistat again 6 days a week after a break. (Must give Monistat a break or it won't work). By the end of the year I expect my hair to reach the middle of my back, past Bra length just above my Waist. I did all this while having a weave so I put it between the cornrows underneath. It's no fun but it really, really works. The weave helps protect my hair and keep me from have to relax my own hair. I only Relax the part surrounding the weave area where my real hair can be seen. Get used to the smell because it lingers. The smell gets on the Weave too :(. I am giving myself a year then I will stop. So far I am VERY happy with the results and expect things to continue. This has saved my (hair) life!!! It's worth a try, you'll be self-conscious due to the smell while doing the Monistat but it's really, really worth it!!!!!!!!!

I'm an African American female who suffered from hair thinning at 25! OMG, it was because I was doing my own at home perms to save money because I was struggling financially plus genetics played a part. My hair became thinner and thinner and was uneven in length eventually and by the time I hit 30 I had to wear weaves to cover up the balding on top of my head! I came across youtube in June and up until then youtube for me was used to watch music videos that MTV and VH1 no longer played. I was so distraught that I searched "thinning edges" and POW my life has changed since! I did the bc 5 years ago and never cared for my natuaral hair because I was never taught how to do it. My mother permed my hair in the 5th grade and thats all I ever knew. MTG has sprouted my edges that we're gone from frying my roots with perms and having my edges pulled tight by African braids (the true culprit). I purchased in August and am happy with the results. I still have some thin spots but with continued use of this product I will have more hair in the front of my head. I have length also. I noticed a few pimples but it indicated to me that my follicals were reawakened! The bottle will last you a looonng time! I smelled like bacon the first day but all you need in a hair weave refresher to cover the smell. But now I use it and don't notice an odor anymore. I'm 39 and encourage the young women to give up the perms and use this product for length. Great buy!
