Verbs are presented alphabetically, one verb to a page, and shown in all of their forms. Review: Solid book - This is a solid book that is exactly what it says it is. Is the selection of verbs as good as a 500 odd verb book? No, but it never claimed to be. It is handy and has been helpful in my limited studies so far. The one down side is the book almost seems a little silly the way it presents the verbs: it spells them out in all the cases for number and gender. For other languages this is a given, but for Swedish it just seems silly. I know it is just presenting things in parallel with the other books of its kind, but it still struck me as odd. Odd/silly or not, it has been handy! Review: Extremely useful - I'm trying to learn Swedish, having already learned Danish several years ago. It turns out there are a lot more differences than I expected, particularly for verbs. This little book is a very handy resource. The discussion at the beginning, both about Swedish verbs and about the present state of Swedish in general, is enormously helpful, and includes a lot of information I wasn't able to find elsewhere, including the standard grammars.

Very useful but perhaps not the best use of space
My first thought on using this is that I would like one with more verbs - there are many commonly used verbs not included here. A great deal of space is wasted showing all six person/numbers of the verb, when all you need is one (bless Swedish for being simple in this regard). I don’t need jag är, du är, han är, vi är, ni är, de är when they are all ”är.” The extensive introduction (see photo of index) is very useful. Also, there is an index in the back to help you find verbs (in alphabetic order by the Swedish) that shows the verb type. Finally, it includes a ten-page bibliography. All in all, a good purchase. I do wish they had saved space in each verb and used it to include more verbs.

It is an older book but very good learning book
It is an older book but very good learning book. If you are learning Swedish this a good starter book on verbs.

Good
I got mine second hand like most since it's seemingly out of publication, but I enjoy even though some of the verbs used in their aren't as widely used these days

Very helpful for verb conjugation
This book is a real classic. Very useful conjugations of major Swedish verbs in all tenses. Also gives tables of obsolete forms of verbs that you might encounter when reading Classic Swedish literature

Five Stars
Excellent verb book but some of the more common verbs were not listed which surprised me a bit.

Pretty good reference
This is a great book to be used as a reference. It has much more than the 200 model verbs; it also has 100's of verbs at the back of the book with their english translation. The only draw back is its lack of sentences. I've not found a single Swedish verb book with examples.

Great book to learn from
While the conjugation patterns of Swedish verbs are relatively simple and do not require the same schematic analysis as, say, the verbs of Russian or Hebrew, Richard Auletta has gone beyond the mere compiling of Swedish verbs and offered the reader a truly valuable explanation of Swedish verbal morphology. The first part of the book is dedicated to this explanation, presenting the various classes of verbs, the rules behind the morphology, and the history of some archaic forms. Auletta's explanation of the nature of Swedish verbs will serve and interest the student long after he or she has actually learned to conjugate most verbs.
