So when you're older, been married a while, and lose your mind on what to get your spouse for your anniversary, you start grasping for straws. This mug was one of said straws. My wife has everything under the sun. If we (she) wants it, we (she) gets it. We think of holidays as a good excuse to eat cookies and pies; we couldn't care less about the gifts. However, when your anniversary roles around, you better have some form of gift, jack. Or you better make sure you have a comfortably sofa to sleep on. My wife loves anything written by Jane Austin so I figured I'd purchase this so she could boast to everyone that she has a Jane Austin mug (I'm sure among the Jane Austin elitist, that's a thing.) This mug proved to be a perfect little gift for the wife. Granted, I got her other things, but this was a little icing on the cake. It's chalked full of passages from Jane Austin novels and looks very vintage. It even has a portrait of Jane Austin so you can remind yourself what she looks like on those days you just can't remember. It's well crafted and feels very sturdy. It's about the middle of the run for size, as it holds 16oz (a coke can is 12 oz, to put that into perspective.) It's perfect for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. Heck, I could go on and on but let's face it, it's a freaking mug. If you like how it looks and you want a good, reliable, durable mug, then look no further! Worse case scenario, use it as a planter pot for miniature bamboo.

Pretty but way larger than is useful for tea. Nicely produced, very classy for us Janeites. I may use it as a planter. Love it anyway!

I’m not really sure what to say about a mug except that it is really cute, I do like the picture and quotes, and it holds a good bit of coffee!

I love this mug so much! The picture is adorable, but in person the colors are a bit richer and the mug looks even better. It's absolutely my favorite mug now. However, here's the reason I have to give four stars instead of five: As wonderfully beautiful, cute, and fun as this mug is, it does NOT insulate well. When you have a hot drink in it, you have to be really careful because of how hot the mug gets. (Yes, it has a handle, but it's a heavy enough mug that you can't just carry it by the handle when it's full.) I almost dropped it last night when carrying it from the kitchen to the living room because I didn't realize just how hot it gets (or how quickly). If I had kids, I'd be a bit nervous having this mug around for that reason. Also, hot drinks do cool quicker in a mug like this, because of the poor insulation.
