TL:DR - Best Batteries for Game Controllers and long term recharging
These are seriously amazing I have tried many different Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and these are the best! I use batteries a lot for 2 reasons My Camera Flashes and my Xbox Controllers and there are the go to for their long life have easily already saved me twice as much as i paid for them from not buying standard batteries . Ni-MH Batteries i have tried Energizer 2300mah Gen 2 Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries - HORRIBLE and worthless - should be criminal on how fast these things drain if you don't use the batteries within 2 weeks they are already down to half a charge if they sit around. Energizer 2100/2200mAH Gen 3 Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries (Green box with Mah at top of battery ) - DRASTIC improvement over the other ones these hold a charge much better with only a small drain over time. Their life cycle seems to start to decay a bit after about 50 - 60 recharges Duracell Ni-MH 2450 Mah Rechargeable bought at Costo - The biggest capacity of all the others and indeed they did last a bit longer for about the first 10 charging cycles and hold their charge for months without apparent lose. But even at Costo these were a bit price I bought them before I saw amazon had a 2400 Mah Model . But too expensive since the Amazon Basics are about the same quality Amazon Basics 2400MAH (black batter Green leaf on it Generation) - My #2 choice after about 20 charge cycles these are still exactly as advertised and in High Drain devices like my Camera Flashes these actually last longer then all other batteries but oddly take almost twice the amount of time to charge for just a small uptick but if you have a high drain equipment these are the gold standard. I actually think the have more capacity then they are rated for to be honest. And with the recent Price drop (I paid nearly 50% more then they currently sell for as a Oct 2015) These might be the new go to. These are as good as Duracell if not Better for half the price! But my preference is still my current Gen Eneloop (white ones here) - They Charge Fast - I have seen almost ZERO capacity drop off in over 100 charging cycles on these. They charge holds for months with almost no loss. They are still my go to over Amazon Basic just cause i use them more for home use for my Game controllers . They used to be cheaper then Amazon High capacity but are now about the same and someone once told me amazon uses the same manufacturer as eneloop (at one time i was able to verify that as true but not sure about this current generation) I give them the edge to eneloop over amazon right now because i believe their claim that bout 2000 charges. Amazons only time will tell but if i get over 100 cycles out of amazons with no losee in capacity I may have a new #1 but for now these guys win.

Consistent quality as Always
Strong Performance with Good Reliability (Slightly Less Balanced Than Larger Batch) I recently tested this 8-pack of Panasonic Eneloop AA (standard capacity) batteries using an ISDT N8-Series smart charger in analysis mode at 0.7A with a 0.90V cutoff. All cells were tested under identical conditions. Performance Results * Average capacity: 2245 mAh (well above the 2000 mAh rating) * Internal resistance: ~170 mΩ average * Temperature during testing: Stable (28–31°C) * Cells tested: 8 Every battery exceeded the rated capacity, which is exactly what you expect from genuine Eneloops. 📊 Consistency & Observations Most cells clustered tightly in the 2160–2250 mAh range, showing solid consistency. One standout cell reached 2477 mAh, which is excellent for a standard capacity Eneloop. Internal resistance was very consistent across the board, indicating good overall cell health and reliability. Batch Comparison Note For reference, I previously tested a separate 16-pack of Eneloop AA batteries manufactured a couple months later (10/2025 vs this pack’s 07/2025). While both batches performed well above spec, the newer batch showed slightly tighter consistency across all cells. ✅ Pros * All cells exceed rated capacity * Reliable and consistent internal resistance * No weak or failing batteries * Expected Eneloop quality ⚠️ Cons * Slightly wider capacity spread compared to another batch tested * One high outlier makes the pack a bit less evenly matched Final Verdict This is still a strong-performing, reliable set of Eneloop batteries that delivers above-spec capacity and solid overall consistency. While not quite as tightly matched as a newer batch I tested, there are no weak cells here, and performance is excellent for everyday and high-drain devices. Recommended for anyone looking for dependable, long-lasting rechargeable AAs. These Japanese-made Panasonic Eneloops, as they have been for almost 3 decades, are still the best NiMH rechargeable batteries you can buy. In my opinion they are absolutely worth the cost verses cheaper Chinese made options.

Best AA Rechargable batteries I've ever used!
This review is for Eneloop Panasonic BK-3MCCA8BA AA 2Ni-MH 1900mAh Rechargeable Batteries. The ratings on the battery cover lists them at 1.2v, 1900 mAh. The batteries I received were fully charged and ready to use right out of the box. The Eneloop AA's hold a charge for a long time even when used for DSLR camera hot shoe flash units. I've been using one set on my cameras for over a year now and they still work great. Will try them for other applications and see how it goes.

Makes my lights last until morning
I used these batteries to replace the original one's that came with the solar lights. These new batteries have a higher capacity mAh so the lights stay on until morning. Worth the price just for having your solar security lights come on when you need them.

I have 30 of these, CHARGE them correctly, and they last a long time
I have lots of Eneloop batteries, for headphones, portable fans, etc. I select various products specifically if they are able to be used with AA or AAA batteries. I rotate my batteries so that I'm always using batteries that were charged a month or 5 months previously. These batteries do exactly what I expect them to do. HOWEVER, you need to treat them correctly. I have a smart-charger, a 10-year old La Crosse unit that allows me to dis-charge batteries, refresh, whatever. I always charge my batteries at 200 MaH speed. You do not want to quick-charge a battery. If you do not get a "fancy" charger, then your batteries will not last you as long as my batteries do. You are also guaranteed not to get as FULL of a charge on each battery. In other words a cheapie-charger usually charges batteries in a PAIR. It may bring 1 battery up to 2200 of MaH use, and the other one might be 1800 or less. Sometimes I am using a set of batteries in a scale or fan, and 1 battery will be more drained than the others. If you CHARGE 2 batteries in an inexpensive charger, it will stop charging when one battery is full, in a manner of speaking. This means that 1 battery will usually not get as full of a charge as possible. It is very important that each battery can be charged separately. Batteries do get "memories" in them. Every time I charge a battery, I set my charger to DIScharge, then it charges the battery after it drains it down to almost zero. Sometimes after a year or more of use, the AA batteries will only hold a charge of 1600 or so, and I turn my unit to Discharge-Refresh. It runs for about 24 hours, and then the battery has higher capacity again (over 2000 and I'm happy). I have had Eneloops for 10 years and I've never thrown any in the trash. I'm sure I've lost some though. Even if you do get a FANCY charger (they cost $40 or $55 bucks), you still will need to have a cheapie charger, because sometimes my Eneloops get down to Absolute Zero, and my fancy charger cannot recognize any battery at all. I have to use my cheapie-charger to get at least a small charge into a dead battery -- then my LaCrosse unit will charge, or refresh my battery again. Long story short, if you don't have patience and interest in prolonging your Eneloop batteries, they will not last for a lot of years, like mine do. I am strongly against wasting money, and also adding bad things to the landfill. If you are not serious about your batteries, BUY these, and then buy more in 2 or 4 years, when they do not hold as much of a charge as they did when they were new.

Impressive performance & worth the money
I looked at other reviews before making this purchase because the batteries were higher priced than most but am so glad I went ahead & bought them. No comparison to other rechargeable batteries I have had. I use them on my solar powered post lights that I have along my fence. My lights stayed on several hours & then went off with my previous batteries. With these Panasonic Eneloop batteries, the lights were on from dusk till dawn. Very impressive & worth the money.

Best rechargeable AA batteries
While re-charging with the Panasonic Quick Charger, I found these Panasonic batteries are the best available on the market. The price is reasonable and for the long use, it costs almost zero.
