This shredder is a Godsend. It handles just about anything I could 'throw' at it: thick envelopes, credit cards, cardboard, TYVEK packaging, small bubble wrap... It does it relatively quietly and pretty neatly, too. Should something get stuck - a rare occasion, the simple reverse control gets it dislodged efficiently. It is quite mobile on the casters as well. The shred is a fine one so all safety concerns about the content are allayed. One thing, however, you'll learn to not shred it to capacity, as the items need some room for the contents to fall into the receptacle or it won't complete the shred. Also, i find that the enclosed bags are a bit small; I use a 10 - 13 gallon trash bag to line the receptacle for an easy retrieval and haul of the shredded bits. All in all a fine purchase for your shredding needs.

Bonsaii !!! 16-Sheet Microcut Paper Shredder, 60-Minute Home Office Heavy Duty Shredder is an absolute beast! My husband and I shredded about five reams of documents and old credit cards the day it came. Total run time was about 3 1/2 hours. I recommend shredding 8-10 sheets maximum at any time, and periodically letting the machine run its reverse cycle. This helps ensure it runs smoothly and you'll get tiny microcut pieces. It needs to be able to run efficiently and without causing the motor to labor. Also recommended is to periodically check your bin (which is huge) and don't let it overfill. It holds a lot. Well worth the investment. Has casters you can add. Well boxed and it's a sturdy machine. Highly recommend. This replaced an older Royal machine with 8-sheet capacity. The difference is like night and day.

Arrived securely packaged. Works well, completes home shredding duties very well and has yet to overheat. 16 sheet capacity is accurate and not yet had a jam. We wheel it out from the closet when needed and the shredder wheels easily on a sturdy set of casters and with an ergonomic handle. Easy to dump the shredded paper and size of paper ensures security. Value for the money is subjective but we find it a very good value. Hope this helps.

For years, I was spoiled on an industrial shredder at work like something from a Mad Max movie. One day, a psycho office admin "cleaned it up" (threw it away). So many tears. Ah well. Though not as obscenely muscular, this little shredder is a respectable / affordable home replacement. It handles the claimed number of sheets just fine, so it's pretty fast, and it seems quiet to me. I have not run it continuously for hours, in order to check for thermal shutdown, but so far it seems solid & durable. The bin is reasonably sized, and easy enough to access (if just a little plastic-y). Fitting in collection bags is slightly contrived: I tear a little hole in the bag to hook it (see pic), but that hardly seems a reason to skip this decent shredder. It doesn't take up a too much floor space. I like the switch options that include sensor shredding (only shreds upon sensing paper being fed); that works well. The window - to see when it fills up - is nice and large, for easy viewing. I haven't yet tried on plastic disk media (like data DVDs), credit cards, or door-to-door marketers, but I like that it's designed to handle them (well, two out of three). Yes, I would repeat buy / recommend it. (I also bought the suggested lubrication sheets to use periodically. Their recommended frequency of use is surprisingly low. So the trick will be remembering where I put the darn lube sheets, when they eventually become needed, ... oh, and remembering to use them at all.)

The product is made by a very reputable firm. They use a third party help with issues and provide resolution. The shreddar stopped working after a few weeks. The third party had a procedure to sort through the things that could possibly be wrong. My issue was far down the list. They work with me for over a week until I had a working shredder. At this point I can diagnose stoppages by my self. One of the most important things is to ensure proper lubrication and to follow the procedures for regular cleaning and lubrication. It does require patience and a stick-to-it-attitude

This product has been great to use so far. We've shredded cardboard as well as lots of paper and it's held up without any problems. It has been oiled regularly, but we have put it to very good use since we purchased it. It's no louder than other shredders - my husband and I aren't bothered by the noise as it's easy to hold a conversation while shredding. The shred is cris-crossed, making nice tiny pieces for our worm composting. It is a great value for the cost.

After my dad got cancer I moved home to help my folks, I never realized how much paper, cardboard, and paperboard piles up from ease of use online shopping and every day purchases. So i got into composting, and this shredder has mowed through years worth of paper products. I love it.

Been shredding a lot of old files in an attempt to cleanup lately. Also had amassed a ton of swept-into-the-corner-when-company-came-over junk mail that needed to get shredded. My old home office shredder bit the dust and my wife's home office shredder, while still working quite well, only supports 1-3 sheets at a time and overheats every 10 minutes. It took forever to shred half of a 50 gallon box filled with various stuff! Since mine was dead and I was tired of spending days doing this, I decided to upgrade. I got the Bonsaii C149-C shredder. This thing is quiet, fast, and can shred at least 10 sheets of mixed-weight paper with barely any effort. It will also last up to 60 minutes of continuous use before overheating. It is not too big for a home office. The castors are a great touch and the removable bin makes emptying a breeze. I finished all my shredding in one evening! So, consider this my enthusiastic endorsement!

Powerful machine. It has fearsome looking teeth and shreds credit cards and three or four sheets of paper without appearing to strain. It is supposed to take 8 sheets, but I think that would be overdoing it so haven't tried. It is supposed to run for an hour, but my back aches after about 45 minutes so haven't got there yet. I am about to move house so have tons of shredding to do. I was worried, but this machine wizzes through shredding so fast that I am I confident I can do it easily. I just have a lot of bags of shredding to take to the tip. I haven't had it long, but it seems better made than the 10 minute run time cheap shredders. Also has large shreddings box

The Bonsaii 18-Sheet Heavy Duty Shredder,(C149-C) is an excellent shredder. If and when needed, I would not hesitate to buy this shredder again.
