Itโs easy to use, even for beginners
This Crimping Tool is an excellent tool for precise and consistent crimps. Itโs easy to use, even for beginners, and produces clean, professional-quality connections every time. The ratcheting mechanism works smoothly, and the jaws are well-aligned for Dupont-style terminals. It feels solid and comfortable in hand, making longer projects much easier. Fantastic value for the quality

Excellent, High Quality
The iCrimp Crimping Tool has become an essential tool in my arsenal for working on servo wires for RC planes. It's a game-changer that ensures a reliable and secure connection, and here's why. The precision and ease of use of this crimping tool are simply outstanding. It's designed to work with Dupont-style connectors commonly used in the RC hobby. The ratcheting mechanism guarantees a consistent and firm crimp every time, eliminating the frustrations of loose connections. I particularly appreciate the tool's ability to handle a range of wire gauges, making it versatile for various RC projects. The ergonomic handles provide a comfortable grip, even during extended use. Overall, the iCrimp Crimping Tool has made working on servo wires a breeze. It ensures that my connections are not only secure but also professional-looking. If you're into RC planes or other electronics projects, this tool is a must-have for achieving reliable and precise crimps with ease. It's a small investment that makes a significant difference in your projects' success and overall enjoyment.

Experienced maker, hacker, builder wishes he'd bought this sooner
My only regret is not buying this sooner. I've been a lifelong builder and hacker; R/C cars, planes, helicopters, arduino robots, raspberry pi arcade cabinets, etc. I'm really good with needle nose pliers because that's all I've used for decades. I can (usually) get just the right diagonal grip to do complex crimps and work my around a connector to pinch the wings around wire and insulation alike. Yea, the end result wasn't always the prettiest but it (usually) worked even though it took a while. THEN I found this crimping tool. This tool has changed my life. The crimping is so much faster now. This tool is very intuitive and well designed. You can see in the pictures there are three crimping channels for various sized connectors and wire gauges. What you might not see are the two 'zones' within each channel: There's a tighter zone for the wire-crimping wings and a slightly wider zone for the wings that crimp a wire's insulation. This allows the user to slide a connector into the channel, 'hook' the wider wings in just the right spot, then ratchet down 2-3 clicks to hold the connector in place without crimping yet. Then the user can slide the wire into the connector until bumping the insulation against the tighter zone for exact alignment. Finally, squeeze down the remaining ratchets and a perfect crimp is made. Looks like it came straight from a factory. The process is straightforward to execute and achieves the same results every time. The tool feels solid, sturdy and well made.

Awesome crimps but takes time to master.
I bought mine in 2021 and only used it a couple of times so I did not get enough experience until today when I started making wires in earnest. Mine does not form the O crimp properly, that being the one at the insulation end of the connector. I am using 24ga silicone insulated wire which is very flexible, tinned and all around excellent. But this insulation is squishy and while the O crimp I think is intended to go around the insulation I cannot do that or the insulation squishes out and prevents the connector from sliding into its shield. In fact itโs not an O crimp at all, itโs just a bigger B crimp. On mine that bigger B is malformed, I think because of a defect on the hammer jaw. (One jaw moves which I call the hammer and the other remains stationary which I call the anvil. The anvil forms the curves of both the O and B crimp except as I say theyโre really both Bโs). The defect is in the casting and looks like it forms both an inclusion and a drop out which is to say one bit of it makes the channel smaller and the other bigger but these are by very small amounts. I think the malformation distorts the way the material flows in the die because one half of the O-which-is-really-just-a-bigger-B is malformed and the other isnโt. The top loop is squashed so the connector will not slide into the shield and requires fussing with pliers to get the shape right. The only way I can get a usable crimp is by using the 28-24ga jaws, setting the connector depth as recommended, crimping it and then pushing the connector in farther so the O crimp is in the B hammer/anvil and crimping it again. This is done with insulation stripped far enough that itโs bare wire through both the O and B areas (about 5mm). The resulting crimps are consistent, very strong and insert easily. I have only used these on one vendors connectors (gikfun) which I got at the same time as this crimper and theyโre excellent but they state in the listing theyโre for 22ga wire (and Iโm using 24ga). Mine had the same behavior with 22ga silicone wire, I just didnโt go far enough in testing to find out if the same double-crimp solves it.

Does what it needs to!
I bought this based on a recommendation for properly crimping DuPont connectors for use with my Arduino projects and solderable bread board. Crimping those little buggers is definitely not intuitive, but once you find proper guidance on how to do it this tool is just great. The bottom line is the crimping works every time as long as you load the connector properly. But some specifics warrant special mention: the tiny ridge inside the clamping area that โcatchesโ the wings of the connector when lining it up are what allow me to have a near-100% successful crimping rate. The other fantastic function is the ratchet mechanism that allows for keeping the connector held snugly within the tool while working to properly thread in the wire. Iโve only done maybe 70 connectors or so, so I canโt speak to long-term durability yet. But it sure seems solid. Overall a great tool that reliably gets the job done.

Excellent Crimper.
Hi Bought this crimper based on the positive reviews. My experience with it is limited to the Molex Sl Female connectors Molex 022-55-21-22. I bought for this purpose the recommended (and expensive) Molex "Service Grade" crimper. An over-engineered product. Solid perhaps but complicated (IMHO) to use and whose crimping process takes waaaay too long... I got discouraged just setting the conductor up and tried on a whim this IWISS crimper. Suprise !!!! It works IMO better than the Molex. The process of crimping the connector is simple if a bit odd: You have to put the tool upside down and the connectors too . A a label to let people know would have helped... Maybe :).. The crimp is clean and good.. You won't yank the conductor out and it slides in the Dupond or Molex housing with ease... Incredible , inexpensive crimper. Highly recommended for the Molex 022-55-21-22! I haven't used on any other connector but believe it will work the same, that is: Well... I am buying a few. At that price (1/6 of the Molex's) I can't do any wrong. P.S> Warning : It is not sold with any connector .. The picture would have suggested that is is so.

Works, but get extra connectors to practice
Good: Solid tool, precision fit on the jaws, beautiful connections Bad: No instructions, takes some practice I have been making up connectors with pliers and a standard crimping tool. I figured it was time to get the right tool. This one is solid. The tool feels heavy in your hand, the ratcheting mechanism engages positively, the jaws are perfectly aligned. There are no instructions but other reviews have posted excellent directions on how to make great crimps. One note, once started, the tool will not release until the handles are squeezed fully closed and the crimp is completed. There is a small lever in the handle that you can push to release the jaws if you need to. My recommendation to first time users is to get extra connectors so you can practice. The wire fell out of the first connector I made. I was concentrating on aligning the tool and wasn't paying attention to the wire. When I closed the jaws, I lifted the tool slightly and the wire fell out.

Really good (if you're not expecting proper instructions on adjustment or use)
Good quality crimping pliers, but the included instructions are pretty lacking. There are no mentions about the +/- adjustment that appears on the pliers, nor how to properly adjust them outside of "Crimping tool may need adjusting" appearing in the troubleshooting section and the features stating that they're readjustable.
