I actually bought this because I had read somewhere that a molinillo could substitute for an Indian Mathani. I was going to make a Makhani Dal and I needed a tool to puree some of the ingredients and mathani was highly suggested for it. But I couldn't find one in my area. So of course I went online. This molinillo caught my eye because it is really quite pretty. I loved it even better when I got it. It is a nice tool and bigger than I thought it was going to be. It also did a great job on my Dal. And welp, since I had it I decided to use it for its intended use, hot chocolate. I had never realized my chocolate needing frothing until, well, I actually frothed. Now I use it every single time I make hot chocolate. Love this. I also recommend using Mexican stone ground chocolate when making hot chocolate. Somehow the texture of the Mexican chocolate coupled with the molinillo seems to add to a richer cup.

It is very interesting to look at but it arrived broken. For some reason it is not returnable. Very disappointed it was supposed to be a gift.

I bought this kitchen tool mainly to enhance the look of a stoneware crock on my kitchen counter. It turns out that this item does a pretty good job at its intended purpose, frothing up chocolate milk. Arrived promptly.

It’sa beautiful molinillo but super fragile. I don’t know if it was already broken in the wrapping but it came out of the wrapping broken. One of the rings was a gonner which wouldn’t be such a big issue if part of the base wasn’t also broken. I won’t be using it in my kitchen. This is now a show piece. This is a non returnable item FYI.

Bought this to add the necessary froth to my Ibarra hot chocolate. This item is well-made and beautifully crafted, and showed up well-wrapped and intact. The only reason I gave it four stars is because although intricate, it is a bit touristy and I'm not sure how well it will hold-up to repeated use. Definitely a conversation piece in the kitchen, but an everyday whisk might be easier to use and clean in the long run.

So pretty and it works. A fun way to make delicious hot chocolate & a great history lesson! Makes a beautiful kitchen decoration too.

I love how it looks. My only real complaint is that there's not a quick little instruction/example of how to use it correctly. I had to google it and do my best by what the videos show, but a lot of them do it a bit different so.....
