I shopped for several weeks all over the internet before deciding on this bike. It had all the features I wanted from disk bakes to shocks to a speedometer and more. The good: Excellent price point for feature set provided Integrated battery blends in with the frame Seemingly quality components Feature rich display tells you all the data you could want to know and then some Integrated headlight is bright and super convenient (backlight to lcd also comes on when you turn on the headlight) Creative design allows you to charge battery while installed in bike or when removed The bad: Packaging was pretty poor. Many components came scratched due to internal collisions with each other during transit, a small plastic clip came shattered, and I feared for bending of some components due to the way things were zip tied together in box (though there was seemingly no such major damage this time) I found the seat pretty uncomfortable - likely to upgrade to something else at some point Assembly took a couple hours Tires do not have reflective side walls, though it does some with orange reflector Brake handles came swapped from default for US (right controls front instead of back and left controls back instead of front) Due to brake and gear shifting lines, there is no convenient spot from which to pick up bike Standard bike rack did not fit due to wider back wheel assembly - currently searching for other options Charge management of battery seems pretty primitive - instructions to prevent excessive degradation are labor intensive Overall, I really like the bike; I just wish they had been more careful with a few details. Would still highly recommend it to someone looking for their first e-bike.

I was somewhat skeptical about purchasing a bicycle from Amazon. I usually buy my bike from a reputable bike shop. However, most bike shop around my house was in short supply of bicycle due to the pandemic. I decided to take a chance and purchase two HOTEBIKEs from Amazon for my family . I like the design of the bike because it looked like a ordinary mountain bike without a large battery pack sticking out of the frame. To my surprise, the bike handle well, on as well as off road, with good mobility. The motor generate plenty of power for the up hill climb and the brakes has better than average stopping power. Overall, the HOTEBIKE exceeded all of my expectation. I also like to commend the vendor for their quick response for replacing a broken headlamp. I sent them a email regarding the problem and I received the part in the mail within three days.

This bike has a 22 mile range before electric battery completely dies I am able to charge this with my jackery 250watt and 500 watt power banks! It has an 8 hour charging time on it. It has a cheaply attached digital readout and onboard front head light, and a cheaply made 14 gear shifter. The bike is heavier than a normal bike due to battery/ electric motor so keep that in mind if you decide to use it for exercise it is harder to pedal than normal bike due to the weight, even on flat land. But other than those flaws this thing is fantastic and goes up to 18 mph on flat surfaces and 10 mph up hill! with just the electric motor!

The motor is super-handy when going up hills and works well; the rest of the time I ride with the electric assist off and this seems completely fine despite it being a fairly heavy bike. I rode on a twisty dirt-surface track and had a blast. The electric assist helped get through some sandy sections. The right and left brake handles were hooked up reverse of normal (in “motorcycle mode”) and I took the bike in to a local shop to interchange them for $34 so that right hand brake is back and left is front. I’m having a little bit of disc brake misalignment with a cyclic rubbing sound, so need to work on that. I think it will end up being a great bike.

Update Jul 2021: Amazing customer service. Bike serviced locally like any other bike. Casing for LCD came off and it rained. No problem.. hotebike sent me link for lcd ($40) easy install. They were helpful with handgrips, kickstand and other instructions. Very impressed with product and service. Who knew that biking could be so much fun? I haven't rode a bike regularly in about 30 years. Here comes Covid.. now I am all of a sudden riding my wife's bike regularly with my son in tow while my girls ride there bikes. Time for my own ride, and I took a chance in Hotebike. Acceleration- wow. First ebike and despite not really looking at the manuals I figured out the main functions pretty quickly. We have our first family bike ride to dinner and my wife said I was grinning ear to ear. My son.. oh my son was giggling Everytime I accelerated. The only downside... Bike scratches very easily. Burley bike seat attached with some trial and error. No idea how long battery will last... Hoping for the best!

normally i would say this a great bike. and it is. and a great price too. couple problems though. 1 is the chain is loose and suddenly disconnects if you pedal too hard...big problem. Kind of dangerous too. and 2 is customer service refuses to answer any questions about the bike unless you identify yourself first. if you don't, they will just ignore your messages completely. this is terrible.

This ebike offers a very good value for a lightweight ebike. It's perfect for me since I wanted a smaller motor and battery for just some assistance. I have over 200 miles in two months. It works great. Most likely buy another one for my wife. The only thing I found difficult was fixing a flat for the rear tire. After repairing the flat, it was extremely difficult to get the wheel back onto the bike. I had to take it into a bike store and it required 2 workers to get it into place. From Hotebike, I would like to see a Women's model with a lower top tube (step-through) style which would fit riders under 5'5".

One of the bikes did not work properly I’m still waiting for replacement parts so I’m not sure if I like the product yet but the tech staff has been helpful so far
