Exceeded Expectations for a Budget Room Fan!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this Comfort Zone 16″ oscillating pedestal fan, but after using it for several weeks I’m genuinely impressed — especially considering the price! This fan was easy to set up right out of the box and didn’t require any complicated tools or extra parts, which I loved. First off, the adjustable height and tilt are very useful. I’ve been moving this fan between my bedroom and living room, and being able to change the angle and height easily means the airflow is always just where I want it. The three speed settings give good control over the breeze — from a gentle airflow at night to a stronger gust during the day — and the oscillation spreads air evenly across the room so I don’t have to keep repositioning it. I was also pleasantly surprised by how relatively quiet it is. It’s noticeable on high speed, but not loud or distracting, even when running overnight. Honestly, for the price point this fan delivers excellent cooling performance and versatility. If you’re looking for a no-frills, dependable pedestal fan that keeps your space comfortable without breaking the bank, this one’s a great choice!

Great airflow and pretty quiet
First of all this fan is not very well made, it is all plastic and not easy to read instructions to put it together but I got it done. It looks nice and does have a wide space for the legs so no tipping over easily. My issue is the cord is so short you need to have the fan right next to an outlet or buy an extension cord. It has 3 settings for the strength of air movement and this fan is not loud even on highest setting which is a bummer for me because I like white noise of a loud fan at night. But what I love is the power of air movement, it really is very good and it ocillates so you don't have to point it any one area. So, it's not expensive but it does the job nicely. I live in the desert so we need the air circulation so the AC doesn't work so hard. It's not too tall but just right so I can aim It at my bed to get the air movement all night. If you can't spend 70 to 100 plus dollars for a fan this one gets the job done very well!

The "patented folding base" is junk. No customer support. DO NOT BUY!!!
UPDATED REVIEW 09/2019 I bought this fan two years ago. At the time I thought it was OK. But three weeks ago, the plastic hinge component which forms the center of the "folding base" failed. While the other plastic components seem more durable, this important structural component is cheaply manufactured. The plastic literally crumbled in my hands when I investigated why the fan had fallen over! My preliminary analysis is that they used very little plastic resin and way too much sand as a filler. With no flexibility, and inadequate UV inhibitors is not necessarily a design flaw, it is evidence of cutting corners during the manufacturing process. Comfort Zone has a nearly impenetrable website for support, and no telephone support that I could find. However I did manage to find an email portal. It's well out of warranty ... I asked if I could buy replacement components. There has been no response. So I consider this vendor to be unworthy of anyone's future business! All other fan components remain serviceable. Rather than throw it in the trash, I decided to look for a replacement base. An indoor flag stand might be perfect to hold the 1-1/4" diameter rod, but anything I found cost more than the fan is worth. So I decided to concoct my own replacement. (See the photos) The homemade base is essentially an upside down plastic saucer from under a garden pot. A cast iron floor flange for 1-1/4" diameter pipe is screwed through the saucer into a piece of scrap lumber underneath. Then a 1-1/4" diameter x 3" long pipe nipple is threaded into the floor flange. (Hand-tightened only, with a couple wraps of teflon pipe tape for easy disassembly.) The fan's support pole fits loosely into the pipe, so I applied some wraps of electrician's tape to create a snug fit. Sprayed that with silicone lubricant, then twisted it into place where it stayed secure and centered. Then spray-painted it white to match the fan. Plugged it in a couple hours ago; better than new! Total cost $6 for the pipe fittings. Everything else was stuff I had laying around. Conclusion: DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! It is not structurally sound. Customer support is non-existent! The best thing about it is my home-made replacement base. ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 2017: I measured the fan blade of my old pedestal fan whose motor burned out after 18 years. ... 16" So I ordered this Comfort Zone CZST161BTE to replace it. Surprise! These fans are measured by the diameter of the fan guard, not the fan blade. It's blade is more like 13"- 14" diameter. Guess what I wanted was a 20" pedestal fan? No matter, this is a nice smaller fan that I will keep. The stand is much lighter that the larger-diameter fan, so is the motor section, but that makes sense. Not too tall, but it does the job. Inexpensive, I think a good value for the price.

I want to love this but...
This fan does serve it's purpose: to keep me cool while sitting on my front porch. The air blows well on any setting (it has low, medium, and high), but I tell you on any setting above low it rattles and oh, boy let me me tell you it rattles. The noise comes from the oscillating switch and to alleviate that problem I'm going to try putting some double sided tape on it and wrapping something around it to muffle the rattling. That and the fact it's a cheap, flimsy fan is why the four stars. It was a slight bit of a pain to assemble but you know I don't read directions so that's my fault (the wife does though and she put it together lol). The base legs are long keeping it stable and it doesn't shake whatsoever. Even in the Florida heat and humidity it keeps me cool and surprisingly blows cool air even outdoors. I do recommend this product for something inexpensive to help you enjoy your porch. If the rattling does annoy you, then try wrapping something around the oscillating switch to muffle it and you should be good to go. There isn't a remote and if there was supposed to be I didn't get one but at its price, I doubt it would be remote control operated.

DON'T LISTEN TO THE ONE STAR REVIEWS
Okay so I ordered this because it had free one day delivery and was cheap. At first I was scared because one star reviews said it was cheap, faulty, and smelled of chemicals. When it arrived it was easy to build and worked pretty well. But it made that chemical smell. HOWEVER. I washed the fan blades and the things surrounding the fan blades with vinegar and GUESS WHAT GUYS?! It smells like nothing. Buy it

1.30.26 difficult cover
Trying to get the front cover to clip to the back cover (what incases the fan blade) was ridiculously difficult and there is no reason for it to have been that challenging. It was as if the front cover was warped or measured to shape incorrectly. I also feel like the stand and pole/post doesn't lock in very tight. The motor seems to be good, so far. The amount of noise made is tolerable.

Works great
The fan moves a lot of air and was easy to put together, the lowest setting is even a bit fast I wish it went even lower. The white noise it produces is great. My only issues were when it first started the motor was clicking, but it went away after running for about 10 minutes. It also had a very very strong plastic smell, after running it all night my entire room smelled like it even after I came home from work many hours later. Be prepared to burn some candles or something to get rid of the smell.

Buen producto

Nothing to know. Keep dust free.
Good size and height. Very appropriate for my unit. First speed is quite powerful on it's own.

Not worth the money
This fan is not worth your money. It doesn't blow out the front, rather it slightly pushes air out the sides but good enough for me to keep for the white noise I need at night to sleep.
