Nice USB extension cable! Not too bad of a price.
A reasonably priced 6ft USB extension cable. I needed this to make the last turn in my hidden wiring for my desk and reach the power brick for a phone charger. Works perfectly! I'm not sure if there is anything special about this vs other USB 3.0 extension cables, but it seems reasonably well built. The cord isn't too stiff but also doesn't feel thin or cheap. It was right on the money for length for what I needed.

Replacement cable work great!
UPDATE 2025-07-14: Received and tested the replacement cable—the video glitches are gone with my Streamcam, and I tested a couple of other things that would be susceptible to voltage drops (like a Raspberry Pi) or signal integrity issues (wireless mic) and found that all three of them worked as expected. I said I expected better of Cable Matters in my review of the defective cable because _this_ is the quality I expect from this brand. But every manufacturer has factory defects now and then. Because these cables are sold through Amazon, though, replacement was fast and easy! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I connected my Logi Streamcam to this device under Linux. The Streamcam comes with a USB-C native cable, however it's just too short to run through my monitor arm's cable management then to my PC. The signal from the camera is flickery and glitchy, with many errors and device resets. One of three things is happening here: 1. The cable is defective. This is always a possibility. 2. The USB signal integrity is weak. That's atypical for Cable Matters. 3. The copper for the 5v lines in the cable has too much resistance, meaning the camera isn't getting 5v. The latter two are usually unlikely the problem with Cable Matters cables. Their cables are usually pretty stiff compared to the similar low-priced competition and this one is no exception. The reason for this is that you can pick any two: Low price, good electrical performance, and flexible. And on that last point there's only so much you can do, especially for an extension cable. I'm going to exchange this cable. I won't remove this review (that ain't right), but I will update it with the replacement cable's performance when it arrives in a couple of days. _NEVER_ judge a company by a defective product, give them a chance to make it right. CM's got good stuff generally. So this might just be a factory defect, those happen.

Does NOT work with Avermedia CV710 Extremecap U3 (Update: Issue is Not The Cables)
UPDATE: Since writing this review, there have been two developments. Cable Matters sent me replacements, and I was able to get a response from the device manufacturer, AverMedia. Even though USB 3.0 has no length specification, per the manufacturer their device will not function with total cable lengths exceeding 2 meters (this specification is not listed anywhere on their site, the device's packaging, documentation etc). Therefore, using a 6 foot extension cable would not work. Once I knew this, I diagnosed both the original extension cables as well as the replacements with a USB 3.0 flash drive and confirmed that the transfer speeds are good. I have to commend Cable Matters for their support (wish I knew a way to contact them first rather than having them read my review!) and for their product quality. That said, the text below of my original review is still (technically) accurate. The problem isn't these cables--it's the AverMedia hardware device--but it's also true that these cables won't work for the function outlined, so I'll leave it below for reference only. If you need longer than the included 3.5 foot USB 3.0 A to Micro B cable, the highest you can go is 6 feet (I found out firsthand that the 9 foot won't work). Original review text: I bought these cables for one purpose: so I could get some extra cable length between my Avermedia CV710 Extremecap U3 capture device and my PC. Unfortunately, they don't work as advertised. See, the CV710 is picky about which USB 3.0 chipsets it supports because it needs to transfer data at a certain speed in order to capture 1080p video at 60 frames per second. So it comes with a USB 3.0 Diagnosis Tool software. Plug your device in, run the diagnostic, it tells you which resolutions you can capture at with your connection. If I plug my device directly into my USB 3.0 port using the Avermedia-provided USB cable (which is pretty short; only about 3.5 feet), then all diagnostics pass and I can capture at full 1080p60 at maximum bitrate. If I use the exact same port, the exact same capture device, and run the exact same diagnostic test only this time with one of these extension cables? All diagnostics fail. And yeah, the PC does still detect the device. I thought maybe I might have gotten a defective cable. But this was a 2-pack. It's unlikely that I got TWO bad cables. I suppose if you just wanted extensions for USB 2.0 devices that these cables would work fine, or if you had a USB 3.0 device like a storage device or something where the slightly lower transfer rate would at least still eventually let you finish. But if you plan on using this to capture game footage for Youtube or livestreaming like I was, then this isn't the product for you. I guess I'll have to spend extra to buy one longer USB 3.0 A Male to Micro B instead of this.

Face cam extension cable.
As described. Fast shipping. A Facecam needs a USB 3.0 or above data transfer rate. This works great, and helped with the camera placement in my studio.

It worked well but cord too thick for travel.
I bought this to travel with in order to use to extend usb plugs while traveling. It works well but the cable is a bit too think to pack in my electronics bag(which is smaller). This would work great for home use or to extend a USB for your home computer in my opinion. It seems very durable and the length was what I needed. But the thickness would not allow the cord to bend well at a 90 degree angle very well which is sometimes needed when traveling.

This review is the 2 pack of Super Speed USB 3
I am updating this review from 1 star to 5 stars. I contacted Cable Matters customer service and they got back to me within a few hours and this was December 23rd. They offered to send me two new cables and the customer service rep told me that she would personally go to the warehouse and get two new cables and that she would test each cable before she packed it up to make sure it worked. I received two new cables 4 days later which is pretty amazing considering it was two days before Christmas when I emailed them. The rep told me to just throw the old cables away. The original, (non-working), cables I received were in a two pack but the two new cables were individually packaged. I tried both cables and they work fine. I copied 6gb's of video files directly from my hard drive to a MY BOOK USB 3.0 external drive and the transfer speed was about 20-40 mbps. I added extension cables and the speed was about the same. Now I have to investigate why my transfer speed are so slow with my hard drive to the external USB 3.0 drive. This is my original review: This review is the 2 pack of Super Speed USB 3.0 extension cables in black (3 ft. length). Both of these cables will not let me plug any device into the female end. Anything I've tried to insert into the female end only goes in about half way before it hits very solid resistance. I tired three different USB 2.0 and 3.0 thumb drives, two different 3.0 USB hubs, and a USB 3.0 card reader and all the devices hits a hard stop in BOTH CABLES. I had no issues whatsoever when I inserted all my devices in two different computers so I know it is not the devices. It seems to me that these cables have a serious manufacturing defect. In many years of purchasing items from Amazon, this is the only product that I have had to return. Thanks to Amazon's virtually painless return system. I have emailed support@cablematters.com to see what they have to say but I am not optimistic given that the issue of the female end (and speed) of these cables has been going on for well over a year. I should have read the 1-star reviews which I normally do because if I had, I would most likely not have purchased these cable extensions. I may revise this review up...it depends on the response I get from Cable Matters if I revise it up...or not!

They last a little longer...
Cable Matters is the solution when you want something more durable (over time) than the Amazon Basics varieties. The latter are also very good for the price. But if you connect-disconnect devices frequently, cable matters will last longer, in my experience.

4 year 5 month update: A solid USB 3.0 cable
Why do I like this cable? - Have had no issues with it over the last 4 years - Currently using it to power a USB hub which is built into my monitor to power my keyboard and mouse, working great for this - The wire itself and plastic casings for the USB feel well made and look like the day that I bought them (see images) - I have the 10 foot version and have never had issues with my cables being too short anymore Would I suggest that you buy this cable? Yes! It is a solid extension USB cable that is good quality for the price
