Lottabody Texturizing Setting Lotion

I love how well this setting lotion works on my naturally curly hair and when I do a wet set with rollers overnight. I do choose to dilute it a bit with water in a spray bottle for easier application, but is great on day old, slept-on hair to reinvigorate and separate frizzy curls without getting oily, heavy, or crunchy like other styling products. With overnight curls I spray on damp or dry hair then roll and in the morning I have silky curls that last the entire day despite brush outs and activity. The coconut smell is a little strong for me when I first use it but it dissipates as the product dries.

I’ve used this forever and love it. It holds the curl for my hard to hold a curl hair! Unlike other setting lotions. Leaves no residue and my hair feels great after not dirty even after a second use.

The product was well wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic mailer, but when I opened the mailer, everything was wet. Although wrapped well, the bottle itself was not sealed, so it leaked through the flip top. I'm glad the mailer was plastic so the liquid was contained. You can see the fill level in the photo. I actually am liking the product and the amount of volume/texture it adds to my hair. It is the consistency of water, so it would be better in a sprayer.

I have naturally curly thick, but fine hair. It takes a long time for it to dry naturally so I usually end up using a round brush and hair dryer. I'm currently letting it grow out (its about shoulder length). I wash it daily because it can get oily, although use baby shampoo most days, and clean shampoos in between, to prevent damage. Sometimes it would feel kind of course and dry, even though I always use a good leave-in conditioner (I'm about 40% gray). I tried LottaBody on a whim... WOW! My hair is soft, manageable, shiny, no fly aways or frizz! If I had anything negative to say, it would only be that there were no good application instructions. I poured about 1/2 the bottle into a spray bottle and after allowing my leave-conditioner to sit for about 15 min, spray LottaBody liberally all over my head from mid to tips, comb thru, and allow it to sit for 5 - 10 min, then dry and style normally. This has made all the difference. While I don't think its really added any texture to my hair (although I may not be applying enough) its made my hair much softer, more manageable and less frizzy. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Not sure why all the rave reviews! It does smell good, but I can't tell you that it did anything more than water does to help set the curl. It does NOT make my hair softer, it actually makes it feel dry. Upside for all that it works for, it's affordable.

This product gives my hair which is very thin and fine a lasting curl and I've been using it for years.
