FOR OUR APPLICATION, THESE WERE THE IDEAL. THEY ARE LIGHTWEIGHT AND EASY TO INSTALL. WE USED VELCRO WITH SELF-ADHESIVE BACK FOR A DRYWALL LOCATION. (NO PAPERWORK WAS INCLUDED. THERE WAS NO ON/OFF SWITCH, THUS WITH NO POWER THE BATTERIES APPEARED TO BE EXHAUSTED DURING SHIPMENT, WHICH IS EXPECTED. A 24-HOUR CHARGE IS TYPICAL FOR CONTINUED, NORMAL OPREATION, HOWEVER. ALSO, THERE IS A SIMPLE PLUG DISCONNECT INSIDE THE METAL HOUSING.)

One light did not work at all while another turned on and off at will. In both cases the problem was caused by a faulty plug that attached the power cord to the circuit board. One cord was not plugged in at all while while another problem was caused by a loose plug. Both problems were easily corrected. The lights were extremely light in weight and can barely stand up on their own. They were constantly falling over until one secured them to a wall or other surface. The keyed hole shaped holes on the back were not completely punched through making a little hard to mount the light.

This product was purchased for our church. Safety first! It was very easy to install and perfect size for it was needed for.

These are a waste of money. - The cord is obscenely short - The stickers on the side are crooked and over the indicator lights - It's not bright at all - Even the LED bulb in the lamps are off center I'm returning these for sure. They are JUNK.

The power cord is to short 16" mounting, is difficult mount no templet provided you have to remove back cover insert screws and mark placement holes. On the plus side the housing is metal and does provide a lighted path for a safe exit.

I like the fact that it was easy to install and works as stated. That being said a longer cord would be helpful and a switch to turn off the lights so that you can reserve the power in your battery.

I bought these for the elderly mother. Pro: They are very easy to use. Plug them in an wait for a power outage. Plus since they are super lightweight, they're easy for her to move around like a flash/work light. They go about 2 hours full brightness, they started dimming noticably at about 2.5 hours. But would have probably gone another hour - but vere dim. Con: they are not as bright as I would like. But the description says it's about 200 lumen and I think that's a fair estimate. They are front heavy and want to tip forward . I fixed that by putting some small peel and stick rubber feet on the front bottom and that tilted it back far enough to make them much more stable. Verdict: They are inexpensive and you get two per package. So I think they are worth the money. We put the first two (one in the kitchen and one in the living room) and I'm buying a second set (one for the bedroom and a 2nd one for the living room). Keep in mind these are EMERGENCY lights and basically meant to help you get out if you need to, not sit and read a book.

The cord could have been a litt longer, but great item for the money

after two years, they did not work any more. sorry, I have to make a correction. I made the comment because the fire department inspector came and checked the light. he said it is enen not last one minute after pushed the test button. when I took it down today, I found the light can last more the one hour. I think the real problem is at the push button. in montreal , after inspector push the test button, it is supposed the light should last at least 30 minutes. if use at home, I think it is very good.

When I first got these, I thought the battery was maybe not included as they come with quite a large metal box that felt 'empty' to me. I ended up taking it apart to discover there was a battery, albeit, very small. Not sure why the large metal box is necessary. Anyways, they work great, so far! Pleased with them.

Pros: stay lite for more than 2 hours, low cost, bright enough for residential use, easy to install. Cons: fragile unit (first one arrived damaged lens and controller board fell out of housing perforations). Short AC cord, does not stand up on its own as it is very light. No instructions in box, no mounting template.

The 120 volt cord is quite short
