Works flawlessly
Just as I thought my original N64 may have seen the last of it's functional days, I realized it's actually just a faulty TV to blame. I admit my Vizio is far less than perfect. I tried several different new av cables in attempts to get a working signal on it. In the end I assumed it was due to an internal error within the console itself. Turns out the TV can read the av cables of the wii, but not the 64. Couldn't tell you what the issue is, if the av ports themselves are not particularly to blame. This hdmi converter works seamlessly on my temperamental LED TV [now 10 years old]. I am so happy I found this converter, and only wish I had done so years sooner!

Great for the price
This is a decent converter for a very small price compared to the hundreds or even thousands of dollars that high-end converters cost. Key points: - This will give you a decent image quality, with some minor interlacing artifacts when things move fast across the screen, but it's barely noticeable. - It has a switch that will correctly shrink the image to 4:3 aspect ratio on a 16:9 monitor, without needing to fiddle with monitor aspect ratio settings. - The only drawback is several frames of input lag, which aren't terrible but might be noticable in games that require absolutely exact timing, such as the mini games in Pokemon Stadium 2 or timing the shots in Mario Golf. Games like Super Mario 64 play well because they are more tolerant of imprecise inputs. Bottom line: You get a lot for a small price, but at the cost of some input lag. If you need absolutely zero input lag, look into buying a RetroTink, but be prepared to spend several times more than this costs.

Gets the job done
Good enough product and works as intended. Quality feels kinda cheap when plugging and unplugging, and every so often my screen will go black instantly for a fraction of a second before returning to normal, but it’s pretty hard to notice if you’re not looking for it. It upscales pretty well for an HDMI solution, and games do clean up fine and look much better then how the would through standard AV. I got mine for about $30 here, which is worth it considering how it supports SNES, N64 and GC. Pick this up if you want your older systems to output a bit better and clean up some older games.

Way better than expected
I am always on the lookout for more gadgets that will help me stream my older consoles for my channel and this definitely fits the bill. It would have been nice if I knew about this device sooner as it would have allowed me to stream from my GameCube and my N64 a lot sooner. Though I did purchase it mainly to enable me to stream though my capture device that takes in HDMI input, I have also played on the HDMI TV hanging in my living room as well. I would not say it gives a perfect picture to my HDMI TV from my N64, however when you sit back from it and not right on top of it, it is not bad at all. I notice no delay from input to what I see on screen if there is one it is minimal. The Game Cube is much cleaner as the images are less pixeled to begin with, so I have no complaints there. So far ever game has played well through the device. I have not tried it on the SNES though it does state it should work on it, but I have to dig it out first to see if there is even a compatible connection on it as I do not recall. If it does have the connection and I try it I will come back and update my comment to include that console as well. Update: I used it for the SNES and it did work but you realize just how pixeld everything is when you see it in HD. Not the devices fault as it is just converting the image over with no fine tuning possible, but I was able to stream footage and that is what I wanted the device for. So all in all still a great product and does what it supposed to.

Questionable Advertising and Didn't Work
The main to note here is that product didn't work on my Nintendo 64. My system works fine on the same TV with other cables and adapters/converters but this one would only throw up the "no signal" screen. And note I had just the other day opened up and cleaned my N64 so that is not the issue. Some have claimed it's the TV compatibility which is possible but probably not a good sign for the product either if it's that particular that so many TV don't accept it. My other issues are with the advertising on the page vs the product I have. The switch on mine is for 720p or 1080p rather than the 4:3 or 16:9. Also instead of saying "Nintendo 64 to HDMI" it says "ZUZONG" on it. The advertising claims no power supply necessary but mine wouldn't even display "no signal" unless the USB power was plugged in. The page shows a blurrier and cleaner image quality on visuals of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D which is a 3DS game to start with and also not something you play on a TV. Another picture shows off a cartridge and screen that don't actually exist, though this is just for showing how it connects so that's not as big of an issue. The box it comes in is a generic box for any one of multiple different devices, but this one isn't listed on the back as one of them. Also the text on the box under "function" is a paragraph with bullet points on the side as if it was multiple items. I could forgive the inconsistency and strange advertising if the product worked, but it really didn't. This effectively makes it a waste of money. It's possible it works on certain TVs or that it's just a defective unit that I got, but I can't recommend gambling on this product when other alternatives exist.
