Great color. I mix this with another color to create the perfect dimensional light copper color.
I really like this color. I decided to "go red" after a lifetime of being blonde. Scared that I was going to mess up my first attempt at at-home dying, I read a million blogs/articles about dying hair red. I tested and tested. On the day I decided to dye my hair I had my preferred color in hand. I did a strand test. Oops, it was going to be wayyy too dark. I ran to the store and bought a lighter version. Again, it was going to be too dark. I ran to the store again and bought this color along with the Light Natural Copper version. After some experimenting I discovered that this color alone would make my hair bright orange since my hair was already so light. The Light Natural Copper would make my hair too dark. BUT by the magic of chemistry and color palettes, I determined that if I dyed my hair with the darker (Light Natural Copper) and then dyed it with the Lightest Intense Copper, I ended up with the perfect shade of light copper that I was aiming for from the beginning. I love my hair now and use semi-permanent colors mixed with 10 vol and heavy conditioner to darken it slightly as it fades between full head applications of this product. Now, when I use this Lightest Intense Copper mixed with some Dark Strawberry Blonde (another brand) on my hair it comes out looking natural and the perfect amount of "woah" copper without doing the two step process. Sometimes if I'm feeling a little less showy I will do this color and throw on a ultra light ash blonde with some 10 vol for about 5-10 minutes to tone it down but usually I just let my copper flag fly. I get compliments all the time and people can't believe I dye my hair myself. I feel like a chemist in my bathroom and I am always trying out slightly different shades but this Lightest Intense Copper is a staple in my chemistry kit and color palette. I don't know why I waited 30 years to have fun with my hair. So silly of me. This dye leaves hair feeling soft and not nearly as damaged as the horror stories I've read about on some of the other products that I almost used. Just be sure to condition, condition, condition no matter what when you "go red". I just wish there was a color between this one and the Light Natural Copper. Like maybe a Light Red Copper. I think that would be a gorgeous color and closer to what I achieve with my homemade concoction. Anyway, thumbs up for this line and hopefully they don't discontinue it anytime soon.

A More Inconspicuous Green Over Time
I honestly love this haircolor. People have (rightfully, of course) complained about the fade color, but honestly - it's quite a delicate sage green when the initial color is pretty much gone (I initially applied it to a light brown base). Definitely not mad at it, as I've desperately wanted to achieve a forest green color; it's just never happened until this shade and its fading over time. The only complaint I do have is the length of time for the original color. It's just as beautiful, but fades way too quickly. I feel like in two weeks, the vibrancy is gone. However, it's worthy to note that I tend to wash my hair quite often - at least five times in a week - so I can't be too negative about it. Definitely worth a shot for those that love a more inconspicuous teal/green color!

Color was as expected, but didn't take very well.
Wife speaking here: I knew when I bought this that I wasn't going to achieve the same exact color on the box, especially since my natural hair is a medium brown. The color came out a dark blue, almost black, which I half expected, so it's no big deal to me. Would have loved for it to be a little more blue than black but that's the risk I decided to take going with a box dye. The reason for giving it 4 stars is because it didn't cover well. My hair had no previous dye in it, all natural, healthy hair for the last 3 years. My hair is also long, about mid-back, and thick/wavy, so I bought 3 boxes. I used every last bit of those 3 boxes, my hair was saturated with color, but yet there are areas where the dye didn't take at all, patches of my natural brown hair. I also made sure to do very small sections knowing that my hair was thicker than most, and yet it washed right out. Not 100% discouraged though. I plan on letting my hair fade as much as it can, strip it, then bleach it so I can hopefully get the vibrant blue on the box. And if it's not possible next time then I'll go with a professional dye. On the plus side, my husband is in love with it.

This picture is two weeks after Iโve done my hair
It was great. He covered my gray hair and it says itโs not for gray hair, but it covered my gray hair perfectly and gave me the color I was looking for.

Deep intense violet it is not
4 stars for the quality of the dye. 2 stars for the color accuracy. It just gives reddish tones to your hair. This is my 2nd time trying a violet type of color and both were fails. I just don't think boxed brands will deliver for darker hair even though it is "intended" for darker hair. I have dark brown hair which has been dyed to a lighter brown, but it just turned my hair dark brown with red tones. Looks fine, but not what I intended. There is no way the color ends up anywhere close to the color on the box even at the displayed darkest level which my hair is lighter and I have yet to see anyone post a picture showing it works. I do like Garnier in general for hair dye, but skip the "fun" colors. The conditioner is always nice and I wish they included more! And the oil packet makes it smell a bit better. It also isn't too damaging on hair. If you are looking for any hint of purple, it definitely isn't here.

Damaged my hair and didn't deposit color evenly
This dye contains a hydrogen peroxide developer. I wanted a dark teal or a black with green undertones. I was hoping to find a dye I can use I've over my natural hair without bleach. It did not dye my hair and it made my skin very angry, stripped my hair and my eyes got a little puffy. The ends of my hair did absorb some dye but it's not teal or black, more like navy. I had tried this dye in the indigo shade in 2018 and didn't have this problem so idk if they changed the formula since then. Also the hair mask that comes with it definitely has silicones in it
