Great for my Golden Retriever
I have an 8 month old golden retriever puppy who acts like he has never had a drink of water in his life most of the time. I promise we give him plenty of water but you wouldn't know from the way he drinks. But we had a plastic bottle with a fold out bowl and we had to hold it while he drank, and he spilled most of it out and then when he was done, we would have to dump it out. We would maybe be able to give him water twice while on a walk before the water was all gone. That was fine when he was a small puppy but now he's almost fully grown and our walks are longer and he needs more water. So I bought this one to conserve water and give him an easier bowl to drink from. I love this thing. It's super helpful for long walks and hikes, and it comes with a carabiner clip that I can hook to his leash or to our backpack, whereas I had to carry his old one or keep it in the bag, and it didn't have a handle. That already made it worthwhile. But The ability to suck the water back in so we didn't have to dump it makes the water last so much longer. It's easy to squeeze out and drain back in, and the little valve closure makes it really leak proof. Obviously the silicone bowl part will still be wet after use, but it doesn't spill the water out. I'm very glad I bought this for our pup.

Best Travel Design I've Seen
I love this thing. We just came off a week long road trip with our little boo, and this bottle made watering her in the car super easy. No pouring, no dripping, no spilling, and what she doesn't drink just drains back into the bottle. It seems well made and works really well. My only complaint is that the knob is a little small and hard on the fingers, but if it were any bigger it might get in the way of the dog drinking, so I don't know if there's a way to improve on that. Overall, highly recommend.

Works ok - you always have to turn on/off
I had another that was chewed up by a dog. I replaced it with this one and I can tell the difference pretty quickly. This one does seal well, the top rolls down over it and water doesn't leak. It also requires you to touch the rotary valve on top to open and then squeeze to push water out. If you want to fill the top and keep it there - you have to close the valve, the bottle is then deformed as you couldn't get air in to displace the water that was just pushed out. Not great for car rides - not bad at the park though.. In comparison - I was hoping for a similar bottle with a check valve between the top and the bottom in the lid. This should be serviceable, think a spring and stainless steel ball bearing. You can squeeze water out - the air is vented back in and the check valve holds the container full. This made riding with the dog great in the car as I could squeeze his container - fill with some water and it would remain until he finished it. I could then fill again at my convenience, and not constantly have to squeeze it..

Must get gear: dog water bottle for hiking and backpacking.
This is perfect. I like to go on long hiking trip in the mountains or backpacking trips and my border collie comes too. This water bottle fits great in his backpack and he has no issues carrying it. No leaking with laying horizontally in his pack. You fill the bottle, turn the little nozzle, squeeze the bottle, and he drinks out of the flap bowl. When done, I un-squeeze so the water drains back into the bottle then fold the bowl flap back down. It’s that easy. It’s easy to fill up with water too whether you’re pouring water from a faucet or water bottle or using water filtration system. No problems. Thinking about buying a second one for my dog’s other side pouch.

Best water bowl for my guys
We have tried many portable water bowls. We hike with our dogs, travel with our dogs everything with our dogs. This has a hook for carrying it. My husband hooks it on his jeans. The bowls folds down over the bottle and there’s a valve that allows you to fill the bowl when you press on the bottle. If the valve is closed there’s no leaking. There’s no water wasted except what the dogs spill. You tenfold the bowl , turn the valve at the bottom of the bowl and squeeze the bottle and the bowl fills . The dogs drink and you release pressure on the bottle and whatever water is left in the bowl is sucked back into the bottle. My only complaint is that the water bottle isn’t bigger. When we do over 5k with both of our big dogs we take and extra bottle for the dogs. I highly recommend this. I have a 100lb lab and a 50 lb cattle dog.

Tried twice and can recommend if you can keep your dog from chewing it
Works great. To easy for the dog to put holes in. Had to switch to glass with a lid that I can use as a cup after the second one for punctured. Worth trying to see if your dog will not destroy if given a chance. Super convenient carrying clip and fold back rubber cup. Plus by using the built in stopper you can fill and refill and empty by squeezing and imaging the bottle. No need to throw away the water. Refilling is just a squeeze for thirsty dogs.

Quick and easy!
It works pretty good. I always take it to the dog park. It only comes with a wrist strap so I added my own crossbody strap to keep my hands completely free. It sometimes doesn’t drain back into the bottle very quickly, but you can work around that. If you are outside a lot, I recommend this

THE ONLY ISSUE
It’s not so much a bad design or even a complaint about this product! It’s well made and durable! It will last longer than you will ever need. The issue being, that if you do not keep a firm squeeze on the bottle with consistent pressure, the water will be sucked back into the bottle. Just something I noticed when using it and wanted to share my experience with this product. I still very strongly recommend this product to others! So much so that I’ve bought this 2 times already, as a gift to a friend and to myself.

I don’t go anywhere without this. We take long flights and my dog knows to ask for water by simply looking at it. Holds enough water for my 5 pound yorkie to drink for a long time. Amazing!
