Fixed my a/c!!!!!! Great!!!

On the first day of the week long 100+ degree heatwave and wildfires in the Bay Area in Aug 2020, I discovered my AC condenser capacitor was shot, and I was having to run outside to kick start the AC fan using a chopstick. I ordered this capacitor from Amazon with Next Day Delivery, thinking I'd have it fixed the next day. Wrong. The first order ended up lost in Manteca on the first day, never to be delivered. I finally gave up and ordered another one - this one did arrive as promised, but was dented (see photo). Still, it was direct replacement for the factory GE unit in a Carrier 38TXA048330 and fit perfectly in the bracket and had the same specs. I guess the dent didn't matter because the AC fan now runs on it's own like it should. Aside from Amazon's delivery snafu, it was a great way to save a couple of hundred bucks on an easy DIY fix.

Our RV's AC started having issues with starting up. When starting, the unit would hum but the blower fan wouldn't get going so the AC never blew the cold air. I could climb on the roof and manually start the fan but that was only a temporary solution. There were 3 capacitors in my Coleman Mach unit and this is the only one I replaced. The AC has fired up on start ever since (~250 hours since installing). If you are doing this yourself, read up on discharging capacitors. You can get a serious jolt from the capacitors in your AC unit.
