I wanted a couple of extra USB ports and decided this would do the job. I plugged it into the 9-pin USB header on my motherboard, turned the system on, both ports work. I didn't care about mounting it, so I just routed the cable to the front of the computer and plugged in my USB wireless keyboard/mouse dongle and a USB Bluetooth adapter. I didn't like them on the front USB panel ports plus I didn't want to waste USB ports in the rear that I needed for other devices (two printers plus external hard drives). Would I buy it again? Yep (and since I have another computer identical to this one, yeah, I'll be buying another one for it). Word of warning: this is for a 9-pin motherboard header. Some motherboards will have a 20-pin header instead, so check what you have first.

Plugs into thenusb port on your motherboard and gives you two more external usb 2 ports. Works great, it's tough and very durable.

First both usb ports work which is nice. The case is kind of a semi soft rubber like material. It’s firm for mounting but soft enough that cutting is really easy if you need to

Wish I could put 0 stars just spent an hour trying to get the sheathing off the USB A ports just to find out that you can't separate the 2 ports and that if you do attempt to do such a thing it destroys the ports themselves

Awesome for an Unraid boot drive without having to use a external port. Recognized just like any external port hooked up to a USB header would be.
