Excellent Screen for the โGood Projector, Limited Movie Room Budgetโ Crowd
After another night of looking at my BenQ imagery being degraded against a yellowish, varnish-bubbling wood paneling, I decided I needed a projection screen ASAP. I just project FireStick and the occasional extended laptop, but it was bad... BAD! Questions for my search: Was one of these cheaper, โfoldableโ screens worth it, when a bunch of their reviews are against white walls or poor quality (transparency would NOT work here)? Should I go all out and get a motorized screen? Dare I suggest, a grey screen? How about a pull down? Or maybe a tripod setup for indoor/outdoor? Fixed frame on vinyl? Make a frame? Ultimately, after some conversations with friends and family and consideration of the use of the space, I decided on a permanent install (no pull-down or motorized) with at least one BLACK layer (double-sided viewing was not a concern as it would be mounted 99% of the time in the living room), and of a heavy fabric. After scouring through many, MANY reviews โ by the way, did you know how much harder it is to find a quality, affordable fabric screen for a 100โ vs a 120โ โ I stumbled upon this screen. It doesnโt/didnโt have many reviews, nor any review photos broadcasting an image. But, it checked off my boxes, and worst case I could always return it with Prime. No need; it has been awesome since Day 1. Image quality is great even with downlighting in front of the screen; no weird smells; the fabric is cooperative. The quality and weight of the product are perfect for the price point. I didnโt have any fears of thin sheet transparency like some other items on the market. Yes, it comes folded in the same looking pouch as most other screws here, but no need for concern. As with any grommeted style, your wrinkle quality/presence depends on your mounting. I only have one persistent pair of wrinkles at the left hand side of the screen. I used a handheld steamer to remove some of the more prominent wrinkles, which were few, just for sanityโs sake. I remounted over and over to try and get my leveling right (haha, what a rookie mistake, making more holes in the paneling along the way). I wasnโt fond of โspiderwebโ effect on my screen, common for foldable screens, but my dislike of wrinkles surpasses this preference. I also was restricted on my screen height due to 8โ ceilings and a 12-15โ throw; the project currently sits on a dresser behind the couch, towards the back wall, and needs to be mounted as well. I was familiar with hooks that come with the screen as my house came with them from some older pictures; you just hammer the nails in place and removal is easy. They come in a nice little plastic case, though Iโm not sure why it has all the different compartments. Thereโs also a rope. Use 3M Command strips (my second choice if I wasnโt too lazy to buy the hooks) if you want a hole-free option, or build your own mount from plywood. My only concern is there seems to be a grommet at the same bottom left area that is sewn in at such an offset between the two grommets on either side of it, so getting the bottom edge relatively โlevelโ can be a chore - thus the remounting. If you are a pro at that or donโt really care, you wonโt have many issues. Anyway, 5 stars, would buy again.

Very nice permanent screen
Highly recommend this screen!! It is made from a very nice fabric. We used it on the wall as a permanent screen for our game room in the basement and love the way it looks. The size is perfect to watch movies on its clear and once we got the screen put up and where it was going it was very smooth!

Works well for the price point
I bought to use for projector out on out deck to mostly watch football games. In general, it works very well especially for the price. The screen is excellent for picture quality, reflectivity and isn't too bad in overall quality. It has gotten rained a couple times which resulted in some water spots that are distracting. The good news is I was able to throw in the washing machine, with no detergent or chemicals, and it came out looking good as new. I did take off one star one of the reason I bought this particular screen was the "no light transmission" claim. Although it's better than previous screens I've owned, it still lets through tons of light. I bought some cheap light blocking material and put on the back which took care of the issue. That being said, due to the excellent price and reflectivity of the screen, I still came out way ahead.

Excellent quality
Perfect for outdoor streaming and movies! Everyone loves it. Picture brightness is great due to the black backing. Very happy with the purchase.

Decent screen but you get what you pay for
The screen provides a great surface to project onto, but it has a few issues that makes it only 3 stars. - the black out layer isn't perfect and does allow some light through but this is very minimal and didn't cause any issue to the picture quality, but they advertise it blocking out more light than it does. -one of the grommets already started ripping loose only after 2-3 weeks of use. Its not so bad that its unusable, but it may get worse over time. This is the biggest issue. -another minor issue is though it says the material resists wrinkling I did have to work to get some wrinkles/creases out of the screen. My biggest concern with this screen is durability. I'm hoping it lasts long but I'm not very confident

Pretty great for the price!
This screen is made out of a stretchy polyester material with a nice white front and a second layer of black fabric in back. The light-blocking of the black fabric isn't 100%. This will do a good job of blocking dim light behind, but it may not fully block light if put up in front of a window. For a permanent installation, it feels like it could be stretched nicely into place, but I'm not sure if it will still maintain the exact dimensions once stretched. I'm using it as a temporary screen both indoors and outdoors, and for that it is pretty ideal. It folds up easily into a small bag--when folded it takes up about as much space as a folded bed sheet. With the included hooks, it hangs up really easily and can be stretched enough to make most wrinkles unnoticeable. Mine came with some rope and some hooks to use in the wall, and both do their job well. There are some wrinkles from it being folded, but they are not distracting when watching. Since it is fabric, it is probably possible to wash it and/or iron it to get out all wrinkles, but since I put it up for a few hours and then put it back in the included bag, I haven't tried. The edge is nicely reinforced, and the grommets that are included feel like they are pretty solid. I paid about thirty-five dollars and for that price, this is an excellent and versatile screen.

Surprised!
I originally ordered this screen because of the black material behind the white screen. I was thinking that would be good because it wouldn't be sheer, see through. When I put it on the wall I was worried because the white side was see through, making it appear grey in color. I thought bright scenes would be tinted grey. However, I was wrong! White and bright video is perfectly bright and white! Great picture and perfect size for my room. Also, the hooks that come with it are very, very good! They have four needle, like nails each. This screen would stay on my wall through a hurricane! Again, the nails are very thin so they won't damage your wall.

Crystal Clear and No Light Coming Through from the Back
I used to have another screen that I bought off amazon that was just one layer, all white, and soft and bright. This did the job, but when something was behind it, you could see that through the screen. I build a PVC outdoor movie screen holder, and it has a middle post for stability. This bar was clearly visible with the old screen, but with this new one with the black backing, you could not see it at all. We used this outdoors, and I was able to start the movie before the sun was completely down, and you could see things just fine. HUGE upgrade over the screens with no black backing. I highly recommend this product! It should be mandatory to add a black backing on all these screens and I can't believe there aren't more companies doing it this way!

Really good for the price.
I needed a screen to fit over my large unit with different colour panels and the screen that came with my projector was thin and the different colour panels were clearly visible through the material. As for this one, holding it up to the light you can just about see through it, but up against my unit in the dark room with the projector on, it totally blocks the coloured panels and does exactly the job I want it to. My suggestion for using this is that it will be great against any multicoloured wall or cupboard surface that does not have a light behind it which is exactly how I've set it up, therefore in this configuration I 100% recommend this screen.
