AlbaChem VLR Vinyl Lifter for Fabric - Fast-Drying & No Residue Vinyl Remover (6 fl oz)

I have tried a lot of vinyl lifters for fabric this one by far is the best it took lettering off my jacket and I mean I had a lot and I was able to take off the lettering within an hour it works really well but you might want to wear a mask the smell is strong or maybe do it outdoors.

This stuff works Good. Had a full Sleeve Lettering on a hoodie in Gold HTV. After washing the garment, this stuff released the vinyl. As others have said, it left lettering residue. So, of course, not good. Cut new lettering and pressed over. What I found, when the residue was heated up for pressing, it all disappeared. So, I didn't need to cover it up. If you are worried, just press the garment at its correct temperature with teflon sheet and see if it disappears. Once dried, No Smell at all. Don't Lay garment on parchment paper while working with this stuff. Otherwise, you will get transfer from whatever it is on. Found that out the hard way. Definitely, Take a chance with this stuff.

Easy to remove vinyl letters and numbers on fabric. Smell is strong best to use outdoors or near open window. Worked in small sections making sure back side of fabric where vinyl was was well saturated with VLR. Once applied VLR pulled on area with vinyl to stretch and loosen the adhesion. From front while VLR was still wet on fabric picked and pulled off vinyl. Some areas needed to have VLR applied twice to loosen tough to remove areas. As long as I pulled vinyl before VLR dried came off fairly easy. Decent amount of glue left behind but no vinyl.

I purchased this because I make tees on the side. I thought it would be perfect for removing mistakes. It's awful. I followed the instructions perfectly and nothing. I added more. Nothing. I added some to the front and back of the shirt; waited several minutes; finally I could get some of the vinyl to come off but it doesn't remove the vinyl in one piece. It's mushy, smears, and you have to scrub really hard to remove even the smallest pieces. Don't waste your time or your money. I would have given this ZERO stars but that's not an option. Now the tee just looks like a murder scene.

First time I used it, it worked great. Second time I used it, the HTV was REALLY difficult to remove. Several cycles of lifter then stretching fabric (100% cotton) before the vinyl would even start to curl away from the fabric . The adhesive remained even after the vinyl lifted and more product was administered. Pic shows the result after the first wash cycle of the t-shirt. Don’t know if it’s the HTV, fabric, or heat method that’s making the difference. Will be looking for a different product when this bottle is finished.

So I was making my son’s soccer teammates a team shirt and accidentally missed a spot on one of them that should have been weeded out but didn’t realize it until I had already heat pressed it. I just knew then that I had wasted a T-shirt and the HTV that was already stuck and then I was going to have to order another shirt and start all over. I decided to google and see if there was a way to remove heat transfer vinyl and found a video on YouTube that showed you how to do it with this product and another product that was very similar! I chose this one cause it’s a smaller size and a little cheaper. While I was watching her video, it looked so easy that I was like, I’ve got to get me a bottle of that! Now granted this is the first time that I’ve done this mistake as I’m very OCD on double checking and triple checking myself but it probably won’t be the last time and it also saved me time and money in the end! It was literally so so easy! It’s almost like magic watching it come up! I will definitely be keeping this brand on hand for other future mistakes!!

THIS IS A MIRACLE SOLUTION! Although I've had my cricut a few years now, I'm still very beginner and have messed up vinyl on cloth so many times. I was looking for a solution for a big project where I've had a few mess ups after the vinyl was applied and this did the trick!! It's so easy to use if you follow the instructions and be gentle!

This product exceeded expectations. I was cautious using it on a polyester garment with concerns over taking the colour out of the black product but it got the heat pressed item off with ease and just needed patience. Very helpful to a football coach needing to get initials/numbers off tops and a really speedy delivery. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
