Really neat product, worked great
I read a bunch of the reviews and took a chance that this lived up to the hype and it really does. It was super easy to join all the wires in the cable harness that I was working with. I was easily able to push the one wire through and then the other from the other side, have them mingle in the center and then hold it over my upright heat gun and just watch the heat shrink tubing and then the solder seal up the joint. It was beautiful and made a strong and water tight seal (not that water tight was really anything I needed to worry about), just like a regular soldered joint and heat shrink, but without a two step process. The only thing I needed to be careful of is that the whole thing is still a bit gooey when you take it away from the heat gun, so letting it cool a few seconds before applying any accidental lateral pressure kept from making a mess. Connected about 30 pairs of wires in about 30 minutes without having my hand hurting from crimping connectors over and over again. Love this, would totally order it again, and as some others mentioned, the box was surprising small and compact. Really great, highly recommend, but you definitely want to have a heat gun.

Great product with a little learning curve
It was my first time using these and overall they're a great product. The included sizes worked great for my car audio application where I was connecting 2-3 22-18ga wires. I used my Wagner heat gun to shrink and solder, which worked well overall. There was a bit of a learning curve, some tips or instructions would have been welcome. The biggest issue I had was the solder would take long enough to melt that the heat shrink would start to melt thru a bit exposing some of the wire connection. Not enough to matter for my application, however. I found that I had to frequently rotate the piece as I heated it to prevent the melt thru. Other than that, great product and will now be my go to for any wire connection.

SUPER Convenient to use for quick in-field repairs
*EDIT 5/1/2020* So I'm positive these are the best things in the world. I've finally exhausted the majority of the 50 pack and just gladly ordered the 280 and can say that 20-25 for these things is a great deal for how effective these are. For super permanent or less space-starved fixes I still prefer to sit down and solder/wrap normally (like wiring a car stereo) but for just about anything else, even stuff you might come back to, these are a game-changer. You can hold more heat shrink onto the back of the wires since it takes way less heat through the wire to secure these than actual solder where the wire itself can get pretty hot, especially larger more conductive wires that might start closing the heat shrink down the wire prematurely while securing the joint. This actually saved my butt when my headlight wire got caught leaving work (I get off after dark). I had thrown a few in my backpack "just in case" and it actually came up. These are super convenient and get the job done. They're actually pretty solid, too, and feel relatively trustworthy. I like these better than the hard, plastic crimps that don't shrink down, obv, but I mean these things are definitely more solid, and I feel like I've gotten those things tight. For anything worth anything that needs to be permanent, you want to splice, solder, and heat shrink. But when that isn't an option anytime soon, these are by far the most clutch tool to have in your electrical toolbox.

Nice connectors, but have to be done right to make them work
I like these connectors so far. It takes just the right type of procedure to get them to work. What I have done is to strip (proper size wire) the wires about 1/12 inch and insert the wires from both ends until the wires touch the insulation on each other leaving them bare wires exactly in the middle. Twisting for me did 2 things I didn't like. In most instances, it made making close connections very hard to do, and the other thing is that twisting the wires also most time made the wires bundled that way a bit too large to safely and easily pull the connector over them. letting the wires either naturally slide past each other or into each other made for the best results. The next thing that is required is to get a good quality heat gun and hold it about1.5 to 2 inches ways and heat while moving it back and forth. Heat from at least 2 different angles and the solder will melt properly, the sealer will spread out and the casing will shrink properly and provide a hold that is very difficult to pull apart. I used probably close to 50 lbs. of force and could not pull wires apart. Let the connections cool a bit before moving them around. If you have more force than 50lbs on your wires you need to do something to relieve that stress. These are not for every type of connection or for every place a connection is needed, but given the proper space and type of wire, these work far more effectively than I expected them to.

Excellent quality splices that have worked perfectly every time. Fast, easy and safe method of splicing all types of wireing.
Great quality and nice variety of sizes. I bought these to have them on hand for when I need them which when you are living and travelling full time in a 5th wheel is pretty much anytime something stops working it seems everything is somehow tied to electrical in one of these and because it's like a earthquake in the trailer every time you move it things break and come loose fairly often. I've used several of these already and love having them onboard because every time I've used one the outcome has been perfect the melt exactly like they should using my 1500 watt hot air gun all you have to do is strip and short piece of each wire end your using first insert one wire end into the splice and melt the splice onto the wire, insert the other wire end into the open end of the splice and again melt the splice with a hot air gun or other heat source the metal center of the splice will complete the circuit making the wire whole again that's it it's not hard at all. I've had great success with these in the trailer and in my pickup I use to tow the 5th wheel I don't see running out of these anytime soon but when and if I do I will be buying more just like these from this seller.

Not sure how I made it all these years without these! Make wiring more doable.
I love these things! They are one of those things that Idk how I made it without them. I seen someone use them on a car show or YouTube and figured I’d try them. So glad I did because they make wiring a bit easier. All you do is strip the wires and slide this these over them. Then take a heat gun or lighter to heat it up. This melts the solder so it goes over the wires making them water tight and giving it a great connection. Plus the rubber/plastic keeps water out while the solder gives it a great connection. Take my word for it and BUY these! If you do any automotive wiring you will love these. A lot of people don’t solder because it takes time to setup everything ,which I felt the same way before these. These solves those issues and gives you a better stronger bite since they are soldered. You will love these things I guarantee you. I’ve been using these for over a year so I know 1st hand that they last and I know how well they work. I use a lot of the blue ones while wiring which wiring isn’t my favorite thing to do

Solder does it melt to join the wires
The whole concept is good but the problem I have with these is that the heat shrink melts easily and I can't ever get the solder to melt before the heat shrink starts burning away.

La soldadura no se derrite
Aun con pistola de calor al maximo la soldadura no se derritió. Solo el plastico se encogió, nada mas.

Easy and effective to use.
This is a very effective connector with easy prep and quick application. A heat/paint stripper gun is a definite necessity. Open flame can be used but it is very difficult to get consistent results. These can be used in almost any application but are a must for any wiring that’s consistently exposed to moisture.
