Hercules DS562BB Alto Flute Stand with Bag

I ordered this stand partially because of a new alto flute but also because this stand can fit two other Hercules pegs on the legs, so I could use my old normal flute peg from my previous Hercules stand with the new base. This worked great. This stand has a significantly wider base footprint than the single instrument stand and feels very sturdy.

I recommend this stand. It is stable and folds into a carry bag for easy transport to gigs. My longer Native American flutes - Contra Bass A -feels secure, yet accessible. It is a simple and effective solution that feels like it will last a very long time.

This stand works wonderfully for alto and bass flutes. I had originally bought the regular flute stand model from Hercules, but when I bought an alto flute, I found that using it on one of the side pegs it was still a bit tippy. This unit has the hole in the center of the legs which provides much needed stability for the taller alto flute. Note that the peg will NOT work on the holes in the legs, so if you are thinking about just buying this peg to add to your regular flute stand, it won't work - the screw sizes are different. This unit does not come with any additional pegs but the large center one, so you may need to buy additional pegs for other instruments. I have kept an alto flute on the center peg, and a C flute as well as an oboe on the side pegs (from additional pegs i own). This stand will also work for a bass flute - it holds mine very sturdily.

I bought this stand and paired it with the peg labeled " Hercules DS602B DLX Flute/Clarinet PEG W/SPRG ". (That peg does fit this stand nicely, by the way.) This stand has wide, rubber tipped legs and it is nicely weighted and balanced. It is very steady and seems solidly made. The included alto peg is one of the longest I've ever seen, and screws into the base of the stand very securely. I like that the tip and bottom are rubber foam padded to avoid scratching the end of my instrument. Overall, this stand feels very stable and my flute does not wobble at all! The carrying bag is a nice bonus feature, to keep the base and pegs together. It folds pretty compactly and travels well. I am so glad I made this purchase and feel confident it will be my performing companion for many years.

I've been using Hercules stands for a few years and really like the sturdy construction. This is no exception. It is very stable for the taller, heavier alto flute as the peg is dead-center and the legs are nice and long. The best part is that there are two additional taps on the legs which allow me to use the flute and piccolo pegs from another Hercules stand. I play all three instruments in an active flute ensemble so this is extremely practical and convenient. Easy to transport with the bag it came with, too. Great product!

Compact for travel, carrying case is included but very flimsy cotton mesh material. Has 2 extra ports for other instruments. Black and gold color with felt pegs. Stable and performs well for money spent.

I use this for my larger Native American Flutes and it is truly the perfect stand. Sturdy, won't tip, coated peg is actually long enough to support the flutes without them leaning to one side. I use the other Hercules Stand with the smaller pegs for my flutes as well. The flutes do lean but the stand doesn't tip at all. I only wish I could buy additional Hercules pegs of this size. The Hercules stands are sturdy enough I could make some pegs to add to the other holes and I am totally spoiled with the quality of the Hercules Pegs.

Hands down, Hercules stands are the best. I bought this for my Alto flute, and also got the C flute and piccolo pegs to attach as well. Sturdy stand, high quality, easily collapsed for travel with travel bag included. I will never use anything else.

Great for my alto flute and I can add my peg to it for my concert flute too. Perfect size and easy to carry around. It’s sturdy and I am never worried about it falling over. The peg itself has a foam bottom so I don’t have to worry about the foot joint getting damaged or scratched from the stand.
