Review: Nice Bounce Card - This Big Flip-It is a nice bounce card. It is a big square of some white plastic on a hinge and with velcro attachment. It goes on tight and doesn't move or come off the flash. It is expensive but works well. Seems like it should last a while if taken care of. I used it outside to take homecoming pictures (see link in comments section). My test and a few shoots it worked nicely. I used it with an SB-700 flash and a Nikon D700. I set it up as recommended with the flash head pointing straight up and on the narrow side. I use it to help bounce flash, create beautiful catchalls, and have some control over the light and bounce with a directional hinge. It comes with a diffuser panel that wraps around the head which can be use din conjunction with the card. I haven't used the diffuser it yet. All-in-all a decent product I would highly recommend. Review: Demb works! - The build quality is okay. The velcro sections could be improved 100%, it the only weakness All in all it works the shadows are not as harsh and defined. It gives the shadows a soft look with soft blending edges. I purchased more of my own panel material and made smaller panels from home dpt. This is my goto flash defuser.

Works ok
The diffuser works great. For some reason though, the velcro part around the base has come undone. The glue that holds it together is now mismatched, so it's sticky. The bouncing part is great and large though, so that works. Now just gotta figure out how to fix the grip onto my flash.

Great accessory
This add-on greatly improves the shots taken with my Canon 430exII flash. I like to angle it around 45 degrees pointing forward, so some of the light bounces off the ceiling and some is reflected straight ahead. That avoids both the flat direct-flash look and the problem of the bottom of peoples' faces being in shadow (especially if they're looking down) when doing straight ceiling-bounce. I never use the diffuser part, just the hinged reflector card. Using it the way I do does reduce the flash's range, but it's usually a worthwhile tradeoff. I can usually just use a slower shutter speed or higher ISO if I need to let in a little more light than the flash is providing. The device is compact enough that it easily slips into my camera bag, and it attaches quickly with the velcro strap.

Works great, nice even lighting!
I have been using the Demb Flip-it for years with great results. Its very easy to use, portable, and works great! The light is even each time, no shadows. While the "FongOSphere", Gary Fong's product is widely used by photographers, in comparison Demb wins hands-down! I am not a professional photographer and don't use flash that much. I own a single speedlight with which I have photographed weddings/events/birthdays with nice even lighting. Also, Mr. Demb's support is great, he is will to share tips, provide technical help, etc. I have not had to use any bounce product for what I do.

Incredible addition to my gear
I've been using a diffuser for the longest time, then when someone let me borrow this and showed me how I should dial in the settings (for those of us shooting in manual mode) I was so impressed I ordered this the same day. It's incredible how much of a difference this made when compared to the diffusers you slip over the front of your speedlight (and yes, even the fong dome)! The only downside I found is how big it makes your camera, so if you're shooting an event where you have to negotiate through a crowd you'll want to be careful about how you hold your camera. Again, I can't express how impressed I am with Demb's ability to spread the light evenly and softly on your subject. This makes for incredible low-light shots and great low noise pictures. I can't recommend this enough!

Good speed light diffuser and bouncer
Bought this as a second speedlite flash diffuser, and I'm happy that I can change the angle, but it also means you have to pay attention to the angle, and working fast paced in a night club, per se, it can get knocked down, and adds quite some SIZE to the camera, lens and external flash... If you're extra tall it won't be a problem, but at average height, you have to hold your camera above your head to keep it out of 'collision' height. Seems sturdy though, I've only used it heavy duty one night, but it doesn't seem too dainty. I would give it a go, it's pretty great at making your images not look washed out with bright flash.
