Allstar Performance ALL11017 Bleeder Bottle with Magnet and Check Valve , White

I can't believe I've waited this long to get a product like this. In the past I've tried those cheap little vacuum kits from the car store, and of course I've tried enlisting the help of unwilling teenagers or spouses, and used jars, a variety of tubing around the house, and even no tubing and just a glass jar. Bleeding brakes is a piece of cake. Flushing fluid is just as easy, you just do it slightly longer. So you'd think there would be little room for improvement in something that's already so simple. Wrong. This thing is fantastic. The tube itself is silicon, which means it pops right on, pops right off and is perfectly sized for bleeders. In the past I've used more readily available PVC tubing and trust me, silicon is much better handling. Unfortunately silicon is rather opaque, but I was able to clearly see air bubbles in the tubing. I couldn't really easily tell when I had flushed out all the old fluid though, because the way my resevoir is designed I couldn't remove all the old stuff from it first, I had to just keep adding new to it and so there wasn't a really obviously "dirty, new" change: it was more dark brown fading out to yellow then eventually clear. That meant that it was a bit more difficult to see in the tube. Next time I'd like to see if there's colored fluid I can use. That way as long as I keep changing colors it will be really obvious when the new fluid has chased out. The jar can hold an entire flush, although I emptied it between wheels so I could inspect what was coming out of each one. It's translucent, and you can generally see the color of the fluid. In the photo's you can see how easy it is to tell that the old fluid coming out is dark brown (I'm a bad car owner, and I should feel bad). You can also tell that it's clearing up, although you can't quite tell if it's yellow or white. As the new fluid mixes in it can be hard to tell, particularly since the silicone tube is a bit more opaque. However, if you unscrew the lid and peek in, the tube that's inside is PVC and quite transparent so I just kept going until it seemed like I had flushed, could see some "layering" of fluids in the jar, then I'd just unscrew the lid and peek in to confirm. I suppose that is one advantage to PVC hosing - it's perfectly clear so you can see exactly what's in it, but I much, much prefer the handling of silicon tubing. The built in check valve works pretty darn well, and definitely makes it safe for 1-person bleeding or flushing. I like that the vale is on the INPUT side (the red nipple) so you can unscrew the lid while it's attached without letting air in. There's even a black nipple that you can use to attach a vacuum hose if you want. I found that to be extremely helpful, and check this out -when you're done using it, you just pop the end of the hose on the black nipples and no spills - you've closed the system ! The magnet seems just strong enough. I let it get about 2/3 full at one point, and the magnet held strong. As others have said it is riveted in, so take care not to rip the plastic bottle. Every other time I've tried to bleed or flush my brakes it's been a total pain in the ass of trying to track down one of my lazy teenagers ,and then when they do finally get off their butt and come help, it's the old "ok, press down a few times, hold down, ok up". This device made flushing so easy I actually *enjoyed it*. Yes. I actually enjoyed flushing my brake fluid using this. If you do your own brake work, and you're getting along just fine without something like this - buy it anyhow because seriously you don't realize how nice and easy it can get. You wont regret it. Using this product is the first time I've actually enjoyed flushing/bleeding my brakes.

This bottle is super handy when doing 1 man brake jobs. I used it on my Jeep TJ and it worked perfectly. The check valve helped prevent air going back in the system and as a precaution I filled the bottle slightly with fresh brake fluid just enough to cover the bottom of the hose in case the check valve failed. The silicone hose fits over the bleeder valve well and stayed on the entire time. I think this is a great product.

I received this Allstar Performance Brake Bleeder Bottle with one-way check valve and magnet this morning and I put it to use on two motorcycles. This thing is wonderful! I just leisurely worked and did both bikes in about an hour and a half with zero issues. Nothing leaked and the check valve worked flawlessly. This is such a simple device but it is a game-changer for me. I have a vacuum bleeder but it is just too cumbersome and involved and always makes a huge mess. I had zero messes with this bleeder bottle and it was a pleasure to use. The magnet was great, as I stuck it to the disc and it stayed in place with no problem. The brake feel is absolutely solid with zero air introduced into the system. I love this item and I only wish I would have gotten it sooner. It's well-made and should provide many years of quality service. I don't usually leave reviews, but this item is awesome and fun to use! I would get one if I were you.

I used this Bleeder Bottle for the first time today on my 2015 Honda Civic. I will say it’s tubing and check valve worked wonders for me as I did my brakes myself. No air came back in to the lines and it was a pretty easy job. My only complaint is that the “strong magnet” that is attached to the bottle is held on by the smallest lick of glue imagined and the magnet comes off the bottle with a decent tug. The magnet also does not support the bottle attached to the brake caliper once the bottle is over half way full. Other than the magnet, I would say I am very satisfied with this product!

I got two types of bleeder tools before this, and I had trouble with both of them. The first was a generic seringe type. It worked fine until about midway through the draw where it would become resistant to pull...bubbles would enter the hose through the bleeder connection area. The next was a mitty pump style kit from harbor freight... That too gave me trouble as some fluid made it past the tank into pump. As soon as I used this everything got real simple. I see now it's very possible to do it alone using this. Allow me to explain the process I used. I used a buddy in the driver seat. I connected the hose to the bleeder and opened it right as I asked him to press the brake. REALLY IMPORTANT, when pressing the brake, it's important to give slow strokes equal to normal actual travel distance of the pedal when driving, not the full length of travel of the pedal to the floor so as to not damage the internal seals on the brake master cylinder. You do not want those seals traveling farther down the tube where corrosion maybe present, that is how seals get damaged. The idea is to mimic normal braking motion and length of travel during this process. If you do it this way, you work quicker, and you can watch the line and tank while the fluid is moving to check for air and clean flow without cutting into the life expectancy of your brake master cylinder. After about 7 to 10 pumps I would tell him to hold at the bottom of the stroke, I would then close the bleeder, ask him to let the peddle up and I would go refill the reservoir. Following the rear driver side, rear passenger side, front driver, front passenger side method given the position of my ABS; the job was fine. 4 new rotors, new pads, new caliper pins and boot covers with a full system flush. Once the car was lifted with 4 wheels off, the entire process of bleeding was about 5 minutes per axle...and that was working slowly paying close attention to what was going on. The silicone style hose this has let zero air in at the bleeder, and the check valve worked, I noticed that as the brakes were pumped, the fluid flowed evenly and did not pull back when the peddle raised, meaning the valve did its job letting air out of the bottle but not in. That being said, I will still use my method of two people to supervise what is going on at the axle, which can't be done if you are alone pumping brakes by yourself. Brakes are serious and if anything goes wrong while you are alone in the car pumping the brakes you won't see it at the axle. That's the way my mind works, I watched everything, torqued the bracket, caliper, and wheels to factory torque spec. Next comes brake bedding, all original parts from the dealer. Zero mistakes. The car is 16 years old so things can always go wrong, but I limit my contribution to that possibility by following the rules. The bottle quality is sturdy, the hose material is quality, overall, a great value for the money. This is my go to now for brake bleeding. No others.

So used this today and where has this been all of my life!!! Anyone who has bleed brakes knows it’s a 2 person job with a lot of yelling of pump and hold. I have a vacuum pump but it was always sucking air around the bleeder fitting. This thing works fantastic! The bleeder hose is silicon so it has a super tight fit and I don’t have to worry if the bleeder is leaking air since it’s a positive pressure verses vacuum. The mini check valve worked flawlessly and made bleeding the entire system quick and easy. The magnet on the side of bottle is a great feature and is super strong. Bleeding the brakes is no longer a pain with this, but rather fast and simple.

The tube fit my Chevy Bolt EUV perfectly although at first I had to stretch it out a bit with a Phillips head screwdriver as it was too tight. After that and it had a little brake fluid on it to lube it went on fine. The lower tube is clear so you can see if the fluid coming out is clean or not. I discarded the jar itself and used only the tube with check valve which worket perfectly and kept out any bubbles. If I had it to over I might try just buying a similar offering with tubing and check valve so as not to waste money on the jar, but then again the fit and function was ideal so it was well worth it to do a one man brake job. Not sure why people will invest so much in vacuums or pressurized systems as they may or may not fit precisely. This little gizmo works!

Works very well. Very easy to use. Just insert tubing over bleed valve, pump the brakes a few times till you don't see any bubbles in the stream and you're done. Would be perfect if the tubing was more transparent which will make the bubbles in the stream easier to see.

It is simple to use.It will be better if proper procedure manual provide with this pack..

This worked perfectly, everything from the fit of the tubing, the one way valve, and the magnet. This was my first time bleeding brake lines and it was a breeze.
