Great product. Nice smell - velvety feel & great lathering! I use it on my hair & itchy scalp too & it definitely gets rid of the dirt & grease. So happy to have finally found a product that helps with my painful flares. I finish off with a protective layer of shea butter to hold in the healing moisture.

I’ve been using the SheaMoisture African Black Soap for a few weeks now, and I am seriously impressed. My skin is prone to breakouts and irritation, but this soap has been a game-changer. It leaves my skin feeling clean without over-drying, which is a problem I’ve had with other cleansers.The shea butter keeps my skin moisturized, and the natural ingredients give me peace of mind knowing I’m not using harsh chemicals. This product is the best i have used for my troubled {eczema} dry skin. over the years i was hoping to find a product that i could use and see , less dry patchy/dry itchy spots on my body. the moisture works immediately and lathers very well.The only problem is that it doesn't last long, need a thicker bar.

I have granuloma annulare and I have used all kinds of topical ointment and steroids. I have done years in my dermatologist office, getting injected with steroids and trying everything to clear my skin. I started using this and immediately could feel and see a difference on my skin. After a month, my breakouts were no longer read, and after 3 months, they were no longer visible at all!

I have mild acne with combination skin and using this product is useful for when my skin is looking particularly dry, but using it everyday in the morning made my skin look disgustedly shiny. I used it every morning for a few weeks and I did experience a breakout in the beginning and I was hopeful that my skin was just purging and that was true to some extent.I realized that using this everyday is not good for my skin, made it shiny and gave me some acne so now I use it once or twice a week at night and my skin seems to prefer that, using it more than that can make me breakout, but using it less helps with providing my skin a nice glow. So there is a learning curve with this product. This can last for months, especially if used only once or twice a week, so that's a good deal for about 4 dollars.I know that other reviewers were not fans of the scent so that worried me initially when getting this, but I really do love the smell of this. Although it doesn't really seem to be a natural scent. I don't have sensitive skin so I'm not sure if this is good for those who do have sensitive skin, but I think it's gentle enough.Also, despite this working out after the learning curve for me, (Use it only when my skin is looking parched) I'm giving this four stars because it markets itself as something that could be used daily, which I really think for most people wouldn't fly, and also because after researching this doesn't seem to be authentic African black soap, so if authenticity is important to you, you might not want this. Seems to be a good product for those with really dry skin, but since that isn't really my skin type I have to use this less often, but it really does come through for my dry days. Wouldn't recommend for those who have oily skin, those that have combination or dry skin I would recommend this for. I will get another bar whenever this one is done, which is probably going to last another few months.

This soap has been great for my son’s skin. He had his first (and so far only) pityriasis flare-up, and since switching to this, his skin has stayed smooth and calm. It lathers well and doesn’t leave his skin feeling dry. Definitely keeping this in our routine.

I have been using this soap for 1 MONTH and have noticed a great improvement!! I get those annoying tiny little bumps on my butt cheeks and no matter what I did, exfoliate, antibacterial soap, or moisturize, they wouldn’t go away. They went away with this soap though!! This soap smells amazing and lathers a lot. It leaves me feeling fresh and doesn’t affect my skin negatively

Works amazing for me. I have super super sensitive dry stripped skin often. I have cystic acne and it helps keep skin clean. Lasts a very long! I slice mine up to save product. Last me over 6 months

This soap has been remarkable for a rash that has been on my hands for years. I have had prescriptions, herbal products, etc. and nothing has worked. I looked at my hands today and thought...they look lovely! Swelling gone. Itching gone . Moisturized and smooth. My routine is this. I use it to wash my hands during the day. I wash them and rinse them well and then I do a second washing, lather up and let this dry on my hands and leave it on as I go about my business. I have been doing this for a month and I do this procedure again before bed. I am in my 70ties and this has not dried out my skin. However, about 4 times a week I put either Castor Oil, Vaseline, or Hand cream over the soap lather before bed and wear gloves until this soaks into my skin.

This is a lovely soap. Very moisturising. Here's the thing, all my life I have used a facial cleanser, spent a small fortune on them, well, this felt so good on my skin I thought I'd try washing my face with it! I was suprised at how soft it made my face feel and clean!! That's it now, I'll forever be using this product and saving heaps. Just bought 2 more bars as they were on special. An awesome find!! Very Happy and less clutter in the shower!!!

Omg!! I know a few people said “this isn’t the REAL African black soap” but I thought I know this brand and as a newbie to this, I felt safe ordering it and I’m sooooo sooo glad I did - ever since I’ve been on my contraceptive pill (about 4 years now) my skin went mental and i now suffer from adult hormonal acne - I’ve tried millions of regimes, diets and products and spend hundreds but Sadly have never gotten amazing results - I decided to go back to my roots and had see many girls of my ethnicity raving about this soap and how it “cured” acne and so I decided to test this in my cleansing routine and within a week of using this my skin for the first time in years looks amazing and smooth - the dark spots and bumps are fading and my skin overall looks healthy and I’ve gotten many compliments on how it looks glowy now too!Some tips / facts for anyone who wants to buy this:1. It smells amazing2. Cut it up into dices as it’s a fat bar and you don’t need to use it all and it will last forever3. As it’s quite strong - I use it once every night followed by a small amount of tea tree face wash4. This bar will last a long timeOverall this is 10/10 and I hope it carry’s on working for me!
