Superb upgrade for cheaper basses
I've used these bridges on multiple builds from scratch and upgrades to standard Fender/Squier style basses. They're excellent value, consistent quality, look good and easy to adjust. The screws line up perfectly as an easy upgrade on Squiers with no additional drilling. Build quality is rock solid and the larger, flat design feels good under the hand. Adding a little extra weight at the back with a bridge like this can help to (slightly) improve neck heavy instruments and sustain. Just as good quality as the Gotoh bridges I've used in the past. Essentially, for the money, you can't ask for more. Buy with confidence! The only possible downside is the design doesn't encourage raising the saddles much so they suit basses with a neck that sits lower in the body, rather than vintage spec instruments with shallow neck pockets and a more protruding neck if that makes sense. The range of practical height adjustment is less than some other designs.

String bass bridge.
Good value for money

Incredible upgrade.
I bought this bridge for a Fender copy bass that I use as a spare. It was a straight swap and the difference in sustain and harmonics over the cheap bridge that was on it is incredible. I’m surprised at how little it costs given the quality.

Almost a straight swap-in
I have a `76 Fender Jazz bass and the bridge was looking a little tired. If I were using the bridge and pickup cover it wouldn`t matter, but I don`t use it as it restricts where you can play the strings. This bridge is much more solid and built to be seen. The screw holes are in exactly the right place, it`s a straight swap-in. There are no screws supplied so you have to use the 5 on the bass. The only issue was that after the swap, the action was maybe 3 or 4 mm higher at the 21st fret, which is way too high. Even with all the grub screw adjustment at the lowest, the saddles are way too high. Two options are possible: you could try to put a shim in the neck joint to alter the angle of the neck, or you have to file the saddle grooves down, in my case, a lot. I bought a set of luthier`s files and used the round ones to take the saddles down, maybe 4mm off the E saddle, maybe 2mm off the G saddle. Don`t do it all at once, take some metal off, refit and try it, bit more off, try it again. It's OK to take a bit more metal off than is necessary as you can then use the grub screws to raise the saddle a bit. Setting up the intonation is by using a cross-head screwdriver to adjust the saddle position back or forwards while checking the open and 12th fret tuning are both in tune. Do this for each string. I can`t get my head round why that is in different positions for each string, but it usually is! The look of the bass is much-improved and modernised. This bridge is sturdy and designed to be seen. A worthwhile upgrade, wish I`d thought of doing it sooner. You may well need those Luthier`s files, so have another tenner ready.

Great replacement bridge.
Decided to replace the original bridge on my Precision Special as I found the popular stock bridge this bass came loaded with had some sharp edges. When played the bass using a pick, it often caused little cuts or irritation on the edge of my hand which put me off using this bass . The Fender HiMass was a straight in and out swap with minimal adjustment needed on both the saddles and intonation screws. Much smoother on the hand.

Excellent
Easy to install. Had no problems in relation to string action as other have described I have a fender mim standadrd jazz and and you can set the strings so low that they are touching the fretboard and inaudible, I have mine set at 2mm from the 17th fret which is lower that the 'standard action' no shim required and certainly no filing or cutting. only tools needed were a philips screwdriver and a allen key

Hi mass bad ass
Great hi mass bridge for reasonable price fits perfectly onto fender squire bass guitars, great stuff miles better and more robust that the standard bridge

Excellent replacement
Fitted one of these to my Fender short scale Mustang electric bass. It was a direct drop in replacement for the standard fit bridge and I used the existing 5 screws to mount this one. The bridge is solid, sturdy and well made. It comes with the correct Allen key to adjust saddle heights. I then spent about 45 minutes re stringing, adjusting action, and intonation. It all dialled in perfectly. The difference is quite noticeable, sustain is noticeably improved, and the annoying D string buzz from using flats I had is gone as the the strings are set better on this bridge. No work needed on the neck and no truss rod adjustment required. So for not a lot of money this has been a very positive upgrade, and let's face it...it does look the part as well with the Fender branding. And yes they are Seymour Duncan Quarter pounder pickups...

Convient parfaitement pour une Squier Sonic PB. Sans perçage, s'adapte parfaitement. J'ai juste conservé les visses d'origine.

This fits any Fender P bass or Jazz bass perfectly. If it has five screws and five holes you just line it up over the holes and re use your screws because it doesn't come with screws. You will have to set your bridge height and intonation but after that you have massive sustain and it is solid.
