Works perfectly for dash cam setup
Needed this so I could use a straight USB mini-B cable with my dash cam instead of the angled cable it came with. The fit is solid, no wobble in the connection, and power pass through without issue. Small, lightweight, and doesn’t add much bulk behind the device. Exactly what I needed, and it’s been working flawlessly since install.

Did not work. May have damaged my disk drive.
I bought these two USB mini right-angle adapters to tidy up the connections to my external hard drive and external DVD drive.The first one I tried on the hard drive did not power it up.The second one apparently made a bad connection because I was unable to either use the drive or eject it. After a reluctant "hard" reboot I received a drive error message. I have never had this before with this drive. Fortunately the Windows "Scan & Repair" tool managed to repair the drive. I wasn't expecting that to work but it did - although it still bothers me that it had to be done and I'm hoping there was no lasting damage.I should also point out that I am always extremely careful when using small cable connectors like these and make sure they are properly aligned before gently pushing them fully home. These felt OK in this regard.So, I am returning these faulty connectors and have decided not to try anything else. I'll live with a bit of desktop cable clutter. Why risk damage to a drive (and more importantly its data) just to "tidy things up"? That was a bad idea. Lesson learned.

Does exactly what I needed it to do! One ended up being the wrong direction but that's on me for not looking and going off my questionable memory.I've recently been setting up and rearranging my small home music studio. I got my main desk set up but when running cables, I realized one of my control surface cables would be in the way, since it plugs into the side of it. This was the perfect fix, as the cable plugs into the side but runs straight back and right into my hidden cable area. It's making for a clean looking desktop!

Fits mini usb connectors correctly, transmits data correctly.
Exactly fit in a tight space where i needed access to the usb port. Both sides of the adapter fit fine, not to tight, not too loose. Data is transmitted correctly. Would buy again.

Simply didn't work for me
There's probably nothing wrong with these, but they did not work for me. These did not power my rear view mirror camera system. Others say it worked for them and did not work for me.I have the PORMIDO rear view camera. Purchased on Amazon. This is the second adapter I've tried. I'm starting to think that PORMIDO is using some sort of a proprietary wiring schema.
