Nice inexpensive cage. Fits well
I like the mounting locations on the cage. It really ties the chassis together and eliminates flex from older chassis. The best feature I think is the rear mount. It connects to the upper portion of the rear bumper mount which definitely improves the protection around the motor and transmission.

Looks okay works amazingly
Great cage. Got tired of breaking scratching bodies that offered little protection to the actual rc truck bolted right on to my slash no problems took it out right away and slid into a metal poll at full speed something that would have for sure broken a couple parts had the cage not been on. Walked over picked it up and the cage has a a bend in one of the bars nothing horrible. Saved me a couple hundred dollars and still works great, rolled over a bunch more no problems at all

The fit is terrible, but once on, it serves its function
Last update: all in all, this cage was more crappy than good. Although it did take a beating, I think a lexan body could have handled just as much, so I don't really think there was a major advantage besides working well with my fpv system. On one of my last runs with it,managed to break off the welds on the frontount ( and it wasn't even a head on collision!!) I also noticed that some support beams were bent as well. In all honesty, it really wasn't that hard of a crash. After a few months of not very consistent use, it really shouldn't get mangled like that IMO... I can no longer use this cage as I switched over to the LCG chassis, and the mounting holes on the cage don't line up at all. Oh well, I don't think that I will be missing it very much. Update: the more I use this cage, the more I'm loving it. I have a really nice lexan body, but I seem to keep this one on 90% of the time ( mostly because it's a pain in the butt to take off and put back on). It is also perfect for my fpv setup, since the body does include some very convenient mounting holes for lights, etc. It was also very easy to fit a spare tire carrier that I made specifically for this cage. Initially I was going to leave a scathing review, mainly because it seems like whoever welded this cage looked at at a slash once and then was like "ok let's do this" because the mounts just don't match up very well. However, the positives on this product do somewhat offset the negatives. The mounting holes are ridiculously off, I had to really pull on the cage and chassis in order to make the bolts line up...it seems like it's putting a lot of stress on the chassis, so we'll see how it holds up in the long run. This thing is HEAVY, after a few runs my shocks started squeaking really bad, I might have to replace them soon. That being said, this thing takes a beating. I've crashed it, flipped it and accidentally rolled the car down a rocky embankment, and even though the paint got majorly scuffed up, the cage held up well... just make sure your antenna is inside the body, mine wasn't, and after the first roll, the cage sliced it right off. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this cage. It will stay on my car as long as it holds up... however, I'm going to keep a close eye on the side mounting holes since they do seem to be getting stretched out due to the crappy mount hole placement of the cage

Great build quality, will buy again (some minor issues)
Superb fit, will buy again! The picture says it all. It's extremely well made and very sturdy. You cannot bend it with your hands, it's that strong. The joints are welded really well. The main complaint I have it that inserting and removing the battery is a pain, they should have left the top portion open so that a hand can go in. I don't think once you screw it , you will keep unscrewing it just to install the battery. If you have two batteries on top of each other, it is nothing less than a surgical operation to insert (slide) them into position, slide the battery holder and put the clip. Second problem is I had to raise the lexan body clip holders (rear) to be able to put the lexan body on top of the cage. After raising the lexan clip holders by one notch (which is the max I can raise it), the car body can just be clipped to the rear. I have to now reinforce the rear holes in the body now so that the tight fit does not tear the body and pull the pin through the body. The other thing is it does add quite a bit of weight. Overall great build quality, but some features can be improved a bit.

This is the best roll cage I could have ever hoped to have ...
This is the best roll cage I could have ever hoped to have for my traxxas slash. Install was easy, had to make some body mods but it looks awesome! As soon as I got the cage installed I took it out side for some intense testing and it went way beyond my expectations. Awesome product, great service. I definitely recommend this cage for anyone who has a traxxas slash.

I bash HARD
This thing is awesome. I bash hard, really hard. I was getting tired of going through the plastic bodies so I went for the roll cage. This little cage has already saved my Slash from what would have surely been sudden death. Let's put it this way, I was doing a straight line on my street, testing out a new pinion/spur config, fresh 3s lipo, and out of no where some kid comes bolting out into the middle of the street. I cut the wheel just a little bit so I didn't shatter this kids ankles, and my truck flipped maybe 10 times and then WACK right into the corner of the neighbors retaining wall. My truck was perfect. The cage is fine, major scratches, but fine. The only downside, it's got a few extra parts so taking it off isn't as easy as the plastic body, but having a piece of mind that I can bash as hard as I want is great. If I ever break this little cage, you bet your ass I'm getting right back on Amazon and getting a new one.

Awesome!
I got this roll cage for my traxxas slash 1 10 2wd fabtech. Couldnt be more happy. I got standard shipping and it came a week early. Fits perfect and doesnt move an inch. You cant fit the back of the stock bodyu over it though so i cut out the back, and it looks BAD ASS! never worrying about wrecking a part again

A little bit different from the photo, fitting was a pain! screw holes are really hard to reach, first half broke at install... 3stars because the other half seems solid! Better look at the brighter side haha
