Very useful product
Great product. First try may not be the best - but after that it's perfectly fine. I would say, and I'm not a medical professional for the record, but in my opinion it's very accurate. It's extremely easy to use - just press the button, put your finger in and you have your reading. The display quality is very good and the display itself is simple and easy to read. The finger sits inside nice and snug, one little thing is that if your blood circulation is not great then your finger can get cold inside there. It comes with a lanyard however I have not been able to attach it. The protection is also quite good. Overall I would say it's a great product.

Fantastic for the money
Purchased this to monitor my elderly grans observations after two recent hospital admissions - we've been recording the details and sending them to the doctor. It has given us great peace of mind as both of her admissions could have been prevented if we had monitored her heart rate and oxygen levels a couple of days before (her condition results in her oxygen levels and heart rate going very low, and apparently this would be the case for a few days before admission). Luckily, she's now on the correct medications to treat it, but I purchased this as an affordable device to give us and her some peace of mind. All of her readings have been normal (in fact, better than my own!) It's very good quality (actually feels 'hospital-grade'). It's very very easy to use (just press the button and put it on your finger), you wait a couple of seconds, it's very quick. It also has a very good feature that it bleeps at you if any of the observations are below the normal range (it has bleeped at me a few times!). Interestingly I had a recent visit from a NHS 111 paramedic and I gave them the reading from this - they then put me on their equipment, and the readings were identical, so I'm very re-assured by the accuracy of this device! I cannot comment on the battery life as I've not had it *that* long yet, but it has lasted over a month so far without needing the batteries changed.

Out of range alarm
I have had several of these finger pulse oximetry over the year's. I urgently needed a good one as my health is failing. It works like any other BUT this one gives me an alarm if my pulse or oxygen levels go out of safe range. I was told to contact my doctor if it did , and it did. Excellent.

The best gadget I've bought for health reason
As I expected based on how I feel when my oxygen levels get down around 94% its even dropped down to 92% i have a headache too. This monitor is an ABSOLUTE STEAL for peace of mind. Yes, it's scary knowing these levels, but it's better to be in the know than not and when those people come in uniform and im talking and they take my reading, it's always 95% or above because im breathing to fuel the chat. They never tell me to be quiet, but if they did, they would have seen my levels hit their warning 94% and as you can see in my images, I'm on the borderline. I suspect in the morning on waking up it will be reading below 90% saturation, so this piece of kit is a must for anyone who is having air trapping symptoms or any respiratory issues going on. This truly is a very good buy of mine. Top marks from me. It's very easy to set up. Wake the batteries in and its all set for your finger. I didn't read the instructions because its not rocket science. It also showed a BPM at 12 midnight when I struggle the most with breathing; the reading was 112-116 BPM. the display is as bright as you want it to be and you can change the orientation of the display i tought that bit was great incase you are sufering OCD and have to use it on one paticular side. even though i saw 92% flash i didnt jump for the phone (my personal expireance is they dont care) so i monitor and log evidence that will show if i was what they believe me to be i would have rang then on 94% where it spends alot of its time at. so overall this can aid you in making informed decisions about when to call for help and when to keep monitoring.

It's growing on me.
First oximeter I've owned. Initially thought I'd return it, as I was getting unreliable readings - sometimes showing as low as 80, or even 50 on 1 occasion, would vary over time on 1 finger and between fingers. But, after researching I came to realise that they don't work well / at all on cold fingers (I have poor circulation in my fingers). So now, I make sure to swing my arms about to get some blood in my fingers and warm them up first. I only use it on the first and second fingers, as it's unreliable on my 3rd and 4th, and I usually take several readings on both hands, before feeling confident in the result. I've also read that it's normal for these oximeters to vary by a few %, so I don't think I'd ever rely on just 1 or 2 readings. Don't know if others are better, but think I'll stick with this one for now.
