Great pillow! I’ve always had issues with regular pillow causing my neck to flex towards my chest. The poly fill somehow always shifts and i end up constantly turning my pillow in the night, repositioning, trying to find a comfortable position. My head flexing towards my chest has caused a lot of strain in my neck muscles which resulted in tension headaches and migraines. This pillow has fixed that problem. There is no poly fill, so no shifting. And it provides great neck support! My head is where it should be all night. It’s very comfortable and just the right amount of height. I lay mostly on my back and side and it does provide plenty of support for those positions. Although it’s a memory, it bounces back quick like a regular foam does. Your head doesn’t stay buried like other memory foam pillows. The firmness is just enough for me not to feel like I’m laying on a brick, but also not too flimsy to where there is no support. They provide extra pillowcase for washing which is awesome!

For the record, I have never submitted a review so that alone tells you how much I LOVE and RECOMMEND this pillow: Similar to another reviewer, I bought several pillows and this pillow is the BEST one out there! Have you ever tried to bunch your pillow to support your neck? Have you ever slept on your side and your shoulder felt sore the next day? Have you ever slept on your side and you wake up with your hand feeling numb? Well this pillow is so comfortable and solves all of that. It supports the natural curve of your neck. When you sleep on your side, the slightly raised sides of the pillow support your neck and prevent you from putting pressure on your shoulders. It also has a really comfortable place to rest your arms and hands and the raised sides also prevent any side pressure on your arms and hands. Most importantly, you will have a GREAT night’s sleep with this pillow and feel so rested in the morning! I sleep so soundly now! Thank you CushionCare for designing this pillow! I have some medical conditions, I bought the pillow to help manage mostly the pain and discomfort. The pillow is soft enough for my fibro and comfortable enough for me to lie on it for an extended amount of time. The cooling gel pad is a small square in the center of the pillow where you rest your head and isn't that great. Initially, I thought the pillow didn't come with the gel pad. I misunderstood and thought the gel was a filling in the pillow itself like other cooling pillows. This pillow instead has a pocket with a square gel pad that can be removed. The cooling it gives off isn't great, it works slightly better if you remove it and place it in the fridge for a bit. The pillow case is a little thick which is what makes the pillow more comfortable but doesn't really allow the cooling feeling to come through as well. The pillow comes already in the pillow case with an extra pillow case, I guess to use while you wash the other one. The foam pillow, itself, comes in zipped in a much thinner cloth case that has the pocket with the cooling gel pad. The pillow has a grid of holes in the center of the pillow, I guess for the "breathable" part but with the two pillowcases (the thinner one that holds the gel pad and the actual softer but thicker exterior case) it doesn't feel very "breathy"... which may or may not be another reason the cooling gel pad doesn't come through that well. For orthopedic uses, I think the pillow works well. I've been using it since it arrived and find it to be very comfortable despite my severe case of fibromyalgia. The foam is formed in such a way that allows me to rest both my head and hands as I like to raise my hands near my head and there are dip spots to rest your hands there. I enjoy this design feature. The pillow so far hasn't deflated much at all over every day use since it arrived. The foam seems to be fairly firm but has just the "right" amount of give to not be uncomfortable or stiff. I would recommend this pillow if you're looking for an comfortable orthopedic pillow but maybe not if you're looking for a cooling pillow.

Since there were so many rave reviews about this pillow I bought one. I have slept on this pillow for 2 weeks before I decided to write this review. Out of the box there was a slight odor of off-gassing, it didn't seem too strong until I slept on it the first night and that is all I could smell and I couldn't sleep. Plus this pillow feels odd and takes time to get used to it. I placed the pillow outside the next morning to air it out for several hours. There was less odor the second night, but still I am very sensitive to odors, and fragrances, so it still bothered me. By day 4 the off-gassing was barely noticeable. The pillow isn't as soft as my other "normal" memory foam pillow. The indented area is where you place your head when sleeping on your back or side. It feels different, but that indent does cradle your head and it does make your neck feel fine by the next morning. However, if you do not center your head perfectly in the pillow, you can feel the pillow dig into your neck at the base which is not comfortable at all. I have to readjust my head often when sleeping on my back. Also My hair is a few inches below my shoulders and I needed to pull my hair up and out of the way or I was pushing my hair into the indented space and by morning I had had lost several strands of hair from the pressure on my hair. I also felt very hot and sweaty on my neck and I have never had a pillow make me feel hot before. I have read reviews on this and other pillows talking about if the pillow was cool or hot and I didn't think that would be a problem for me since I have never in over 60 years felt hot from a pillow until this one. I am switching back to my other normal pillow to sleep with now. But if I ever feel neck strain, I will use this pillow as I do think it works well enough for neck pain, but I don't like it enough to sleep on it every night.

This review is for the Charcoal Pillow for Neck and Shoulder Pain Relief – Bamboo Charcoal Memory Foam Cervical Pillow There is nothing in the description about a prop 65 warning, but this should probably have one. When I first saw "charcoal pillow" I thought it might be "activated charcoal filled" but that's not it at all. It was the color (facepalm). I'm a chemically sensitive person, and my throat is burning after breathing in whatever chemicals are on this pillow. I didn't detect it on the packaging -- only when I opened it. I highly doubt it would sufficiently offgas. The other part of this product to know is that it is vacuum packed, so the package is too small to get it back inside.

I finally have the pillow I have been looking for... It took me years and double digit pillow purchases, but this is "the one". My pain in my neck, and shoulders has diminished. My snoring has lessened. My partner had me try sprays , strips, sleep positions, everything . Today he said to me, he woke up last night and thought I might be dead. Because I wasn't snoring, and he couldn't see me breathing. He said he would worry about it in the morning. His sleep is usually so bad with my snoring, until this pillow. I have used it for several weeks, I have bone spurs in my shoulder. I have been in 2 horrible accidents, with ongoing neck and jaw pain. This pillow makes me forget the chronic pain I have had for 15+ years. You might think I am lying, or do not really have a high pain tolerance. But I am giving you an honest review to something you need. Why else would you be reading pillow reviews. I am getting nothing for this review except a hope I can help someone end their pillow search.

Having had this pillow for a few weeks now, I can safely say it's amazing. I sleep through the night with no readjusting my pillow and my sleep is deeper and more restful than ever. It was a bit uncomfortable at first since I hadn't figured out just how to position myself on the pillow but, once I got it right, it's been pure magic. I didn't notice any smell from the pillow like others mentioned but I got mine in the middle of the day and opened it up immediately so it did have a few hours to air out. (Note: It really only allows for very particular head placement so you can't really be further on either side comfortably which makes cuddling a challenge, in case that's a concern for you. This is definitely not a sexy pillow; it's all about you individual comfort. ) I'm primarily a side sleeper but I will often sleep on my back. On my side, pillows were never tall enough (or sometimes too tall) for my neck to be positioned properly and it always felt like there was something missing. I kept trying to bunch up the corner because I wanted something to support my chin. On my back, I had similar issues where I would pull the bottom corners of the pillow down over my shoulders to try to get some side support for my head so my neck isn't overly stretched going left or right. I have tried so many types of pillows over the years (memory foam, down, gel, contoured, firmer, softer, etc.) trying to find my perfect pillow. I also tried a normal pillow while wearing a travel neck pillow but it was a bit much. I didn't really suffer from neck pain but would wake up several times in the night to readjust my pillow. This pillow solves all of my sleeping problems. It's a good height and the indent for your head makes it more comfortable but you can find that in any other contoured memory foam pillow. What really sets this pillow apart (for me) are the wings (?) or flanges or whatever and the tilt of the pillow. The wings give support for both side and back sleeping - giving me something to support my chin and hold on to when on my side, and keeping my head from going too far to any one side when on my back. The tilt of the pillow, bringing the wings down over your shoulders and allowing space underneath them so your head is cradled all around by pillow.

I have had this pillow for a few months now, and I do like it. At first, I was apprehensive because I tend to move around a lot in my sleep, but after the first night, I knew I would not return this pillow. I've noticed that I do not snore nearly as often as I used to, as my head is fully supported and cradled. My only complaint is that it's a little too narrow, so it occasionally puts pressure on my ears, and I wake up with them aching sometimes. It isn't a cooling pillow either, but I have found that it doesn't hold onto heat, which I need since I am a hot sleeper. So far, it's great, and I would recommend it!

Padecia de dolores en las cervicales y por ende en hombros y brazos. Esto se corrigió con terapia pero está almohada ayudo muchísimo al tratamiento, lo acelero. Ahora duermo siempre con ella y mis cervicales se mantienen en posición correcta así como me ayuda a dormir mas profundo.

Realmente funciona ; quita el malestar del cuello y los ronquidos disminuyen . La recomiendo .

I purchased this pillow with the hope it might help with my sleep. I have suffered from snoring which affects the quality of sleep and I usually wake up feeling tired. I have tried custom made dental mouth appliances which helped a little but are uncomfortable . After sleeping on this pillow for 4 nights I have had deeper sleep and woken refreshed each time even after a shorter 6 or 7 hour sleep. I don't think it coincidence that my sleep is better after 4 nights of use. It certainly is not a scientific study, but all I can say this pillow has defiantly improved my sleep considerably. I wake up alert and refreshed and much more energised. I didn't expect this pillow to make such a huge difference. Good sleep helps with so many areas of life in health fitness and success and the small price of this pillow is possibly the best thing I have purchased in a long time.

Bought the charcoal version. I’m really happy with the firm support with enough flex for it to be comfortable. I like to sleep on my back, this supports the neck very well and I think it could reduce snoring for some conditions. It’s smaller than an average size pillow but I don’t find this an issue. It comes with a quality washable cover. I took a risk buying it as it’s quite pricey but I’m happy and recommend it.
