Liliana Cruz Hand Embroidered Authentic Mexican Peasant Dress

The dress is beautiful. I bought the turquoise because it looks a lot like one I had years ago. Size is true, I ordered my regular size and it fits perfectly. And just the right length. And no, the seams are not finished on the inside, but I ran a few rows of zig-zag stitches on my sewing machine. However, after washing the dress I believe the fabric is a tight enough weave that you probably don't need to do that. And all that hand-embroidery work -- well done! Probably won't wear it out and about, but it's the perfect hot-weather dress at home.

Very well made dress. I have washed it and used the dryer. The colors are still bright and did not run together. It did not need ironing. It is close to ankle length on me however I am 5ft 4inches. This in not my first one of these dresses and they hold up extremely well with frequent washings.

I ordered this because I needed something for after surgery. It didn’t come in time ( my fault) but I moved right into it as soon as it arrived. It’s perfect. Super comfy. Roomy enough. Very pretty. I’m 5’3, 150 lb. I ordered an XL -and could’ve gone down a size but I like it roomy. The seams are not finished, but I wash in cold water and hang to dry. Doesn’t need ironing. I like it so much, I ordered a second one in pink. Everyone who sees it, wants to know where I got it. Happy customer.

UPDATE: After discussing with the seller, there is no restocking fee for exchanges. So I returned the XL ($4 return shipping) and guess what? No L in stock. Due to Corona they are experiencing a lot of delays in receiving dresses! Its been over 1 week still waiting. Unfortunately now I am down $10 for this dress exchange and will have to spend another $6 to have the new one shipped! So total $16 in shipping costs. This makes a $40 dress cost $56! I am disappointed to say the least because this was supposed to be my "birthday" dress. Moral of the story here....Buy true to size! Prime shipping ONLY!This is exactly what I wanted in a Puebla dress! The embroidery is brightly colored, beautifully stitched and happy. I purchased the navy color. It makes the embroidery pop even more. The material is thin so the lighter colored dresses might be see-through. Based on the reviews and sizing description I sized up to an XL instead of my usual L. However the XL is definitely NOT a max 40" bust, its more like 44" bust! I suggest to select your regular size as the dress is very roomy. The XL is very big on me but I LOVE the dress and colors on the design. I am disappointed there is a 20% restocking fee for returns since this is online shopping! I will probably order a L in the future after I wear the dress and see how it feels.

I have a love of these peasant dresses. These are so well made I can't say anything bad about this dress. The embroidery on this dress is beautiful. The design is true to the dresses I have purchase in Mexico. Nothing flashy or false notes seen here. The colors are very lovey and clearly primary. The dress is also very nicely made. The seams are well finished and the hems and sleeves are perfect. If you need a fun outfit for a fiesta or a fun dress just for everyday wear this is a very lovely product and you will not be disappointed.
