Excellent Clamps, Versatile
Irwin is one of the most common names in the single-hand aka "quick clamp" world and I've owned a few of their clamps for several years to use in various DIY jobs around the home. One of my chief complaints I've always had with the Irwin clamps was that the non-marring pads got loose within just a few uses, so I've always had an issue with grabbing them, starting to clamp something, then having to stop what I was doing to retrace my steps through the yard or house to find where the pads fell off (I'm sure I'm not the only one); the Irwin's also seemed to lose their clamping strength and the trigger torque after about 6 months, but still serviceable for a third hand so long as I didn't need a lot of pressure for anything like glue ups or to keep something from spinning while drilling. I then gravitated to DeWalt clamps simply because my local hardware store was out of Irwins one day, I didn't trust the cheap construction of the store branded clamps and the DeWalt clamps were the only namebrand option; I was cautious at first knowing that hand tools are not necessarily DeWalt's bread and butter, but after 3 yrs of use I can honestly say I've not had the same issues as I had with the Irwin branded clamps. As I've started to first into woodworking, I've found the old adage that "you can't have enough clamps" is indeed true (or extra "hands" in my case this week with a project. I didn't need anything with a lot of clamping power, so was looking for quick clamps and ran across this 4pc bundle under Jorgensen. Again, was optimistically cautious about these clamps, but didn't want to pay the DeWalt price and felt going back to Irwins was a step backwards; I'd read where the "Pony" name was dropped from the Jorgensen branding, and that manufacturing moved overseas to China, which also concerned me. After receiving the clamps, I have to say I'm overly impressed and amazed at their quality. The clamps are very strong and I wouldn't be afriad to use them for glue-ups on smaller projects like puzzle boxes, jewelry boxes, ect. The non-marring pads are well engineered to stay in place, and do not easily slide on and off like Irwin and other brands; instead, they have thick lips that you actually have to work a little to pop them off, and then can pop them back on. The release trigger is also well positioned within the body of the trigger; I was always scraping my knuckle across the release trigger of my Inrwin and DeWalt clamps. These clamps are more versatile the the other brands as well. 1) switching the end around for use as a spreader is simple and tool-free with the press of a button in the clamp's end to release it from the bar, vs having to remove the mechanical stop in the bar as I've seen with other brands. 2) You can attach 2 Jorgensen clamps together to make a longer clamp if needed, as the clamp ends are molded with matching puzzle shapes that securely join 2 clamps together, keeping the use of the united clamps to a single hand - no more trying to line up opposing clamp faces with both hands while juggling the clamps and the work pieces you may be trying to clamp together! This 2nd feature was unexpected, but I can recall over a dozen times I the past 2 years I could have used this feature if only it existed on my Irwin or DeWalt clamps! For anyone on the bubble, I would encourage you to give these clamps a try! For now, Amazon is still showing the 4 PC package priced just 25% more than the cost of the 2pc PKG, so it's a very strong value while supplies.lasts at the current price. I'm actually ordering another set for myself to keep in the garage where they will see frequent use, and sending all the Irwin and DeWalt clamps to the basement and backyard shed for when I'm in a quick pinch for something without scrambling to the garage for a clamp.

Perfect small clamps
I'd already bought lots of all kinds of woodworking clamps, but these caught my eye so I tried a 4-pack. They're now my go-to clamps for small projects. They're easy to use one-handed, have just enough clamping pressure, have nice large faces, and can hook together when I run out of longer clamps. When I need more clamps, I'll buy these again. It's been a year and a half and there's been zero problems with these.

an exceptional set of clamps that offer convenience, versatility, and reliable clamping power
If you're in need of reliable and easy-to-use clamps for your woodworking or general clamping needs, this product is an excellent choice. The first thing that impressed me about these clamps is their build quality. The Jorgensen brand is well-known for producing high-quality clamping tools, and these clamps live up to that reputation. The clamps are made from durable materials that ensure their longevity and reliability. They feel solid and well-constructed, providing confidence in their performance. The one-hand operation feature of these clamps is a standout characteristic. The innovative design allows for easy and quick clamping with just one hand. This is particularly useful when you need to hold workpieces together or secure materials in place while keeping your other hand free for precise adjustments or additional tasks. The one-hand operation greatly enhances convenience and efficiency. The E-Z Hold feature of these clamps is another advantage. It provides a firm grip on the workpiece, ensuring secure clamping and preventing slippage. The clamps have a specially designed jaw mechanism that allows for quick and easy adjustment to accommodate different thicknesses of materials. The E-Z Hold feature ensures consistent pressure distribution, resulting in even and secure clamping. The 6-inch size of these clamps offers versatility for a wide range of applications. Whether you're working on small woodworking projects, DIY repairs, or general clamping tasks, these clamps provide sufficient reach and clamping capacity. The compact size makes them ideal for tight spaces or when you need multiple clamps for simultaneous use. The set includes four clamps, providing ample quantity for various clamping needs. Having multiple clamps allows for greater flexibility in woodworking projects, assembly tasks, or when working with multiple workpieces simultaneously. The clamps are neatly packaged and organized, making it easy to access and store them when not in use. The lightweight design of these clamps makes them easy to handle and maneuver. They are comfortable to grip, reducing fatigue during prolonged use. The lightweight nature of the clamps doesn't compromise their clamping power, as they still provide sufficient force to hold materials firmly in place. In conclusion, the Jorgensen 6" Spreader/Bar Clamp Set is an exceptional set of clamps that offers convenience, versatility, and reliable clamping power. With their sturdy construction, one-hand operation, E-Z Hold feature, compact size, and ample quantity, these clamps provide everything you need for secure and efficient clamping in your woodworking projects or general clamping tasks. Whether you're a professional woodworker or a DIY enthusiast, these clamps will exceed your expectations and become invaluable tools in your workshop.

Good value!
These Jorgensen 6” bar clamps are an excellent value for the money and a total win in our household. They’re solid, reliable, and work perfectly for woodworking projects that need a steady, secure hold. The grip is strong, the adjustment is smooth, and they feel well-made for the price. My husband absolutely loves them—mostly because he no longer has to ask for my hands to hold pieces in place while he’s working on his projects. 😄 They’ve made his workflow so much easier and more efficient. If you’re into woodworking and want dependable clamps without breaking the bank, these are a fantastic choice!

These are usually my favorite to recommend....
Not sure why, but I've had a few 6" clamps have trouble "releasing" after a while. They aren't rusted or anything, which saddens me because these are my absolute favorites out of all the brands. I had to bang on the end with a hammer just to get one of them to release. Overall, I would STILL buy these even with the issues I've had (maybe 3 out of 12 have had this "defect").

New favorite one-hand clamp
Great 6", better ergonomics than Irwin and appears better build quality. Versatile, well executed design to extend or to flip with push button release for a moveable end piece. Using for glue ups of Baltic birch 1/8" plywood where the medium pressure is more than adequate

More clamps...always more clamps
I love these Jorgenson clamps. I have bunches of them in the larger sizes both new and old (before they mostly went under as a company and were bought by the decent Great Star company in China who resurrected them). Honestly Great Star is doing well in producing these clamps and comparing them to two generations of older ones you can hardly tell a difference. Some of the other Pony/Jorgenson items aren't quite as nice as they used to be but these clamps definitely are. The pads on these are a firmer plastic that still has some grip and flex but they are not the same as the more vinyl-ish type found on Irwin and DeWalt and many other clamps (and definitely not the soft-soft material found on the cheap-cheap clamps under fifty brand names). On my larger clamps the pads meet really close to parallel with a very slight bow to them (which is good) but on these smaller ones the bow is a little more pronounced in the dozen I have, including this new crop of 4. They still are less fiddly than the Irwin which tend to meet only at the tip and thus want to shift things a bit as you clamp down. The guts on these small ones aren't as beefy as the full sized ones but they are much MUCH better than most clamps out there. Four thick cam plates (2 fore and 2 aft) and a good strong springs. Carefully pry off the side covers of other brands and compare...it's sad what some clamps are made of. Yes, the release button takes some getting used to compared to others but it works well. Thus far none of my head release buttons has broken on any of them (new or old style) but I've heard that happens sometimes. Overall these are my favorite clamps and I stopped buying the Irwin and Bessey models in favor of these.

Perfect little squeeze clamps
Great set of clamps. I was trying to decide between the slightly cheaper workpros or these and was sold on the daisy chaining feature. They have great clamping pressure and I love how easy it is to remove the head and love that they can be daisy chained to make a 12in. Buying another set.

Excellent 6" spreader clamps
These are the best 6" clamps I have ever used. And the versatility of being able to connect 2 together for a larger clamping space is great. They really clamp very well.
