Great mic for the money
Great mic for the money. Clear as a bell. The only negative comment I'd make, and it's not really even negative, is that it has a strong proximity effect, so a pop filter is required on vocals. Even off-axis, it's still very heavy. Otherwise, fantastic all-around condenser. Exceptional on guitars, overheads, vocals.

The Best Mic You've Never Heard Of
There is not much literature on the JZ brand online. That being said I was very skeptical about purchasing it. I was in the Market for a new Microphone and eventually I had come across it in a comparison on youtube and it was going up against the likes of a U87 and AKGC414. This mic at a fraction of the price of the other two more than held it's own and in many instances was flat out better. I bought it and haven't looked back. In my opinion it is every bit as good as a U87 but looks way better. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'll admit I occasionally flirt with other expensive mics for the sake of having them , but they wouldn't get much use in my studio. JZ Vintage 11 is a homerun !
