Reduces aggression - really works!
A stray male cat adopted us, much to the unhappiness of our in-resident male cat, who lashes out at the new cat every chance he gets (despite months using every online tip about how to introduce cats). I bought one of every existing calming spray, collar, and/or defuser my local pet shop offers + more off Amazon - this is the *only one* that works and it's AMAZING! We use it mostly to diffuse rising tensions - you can see the moment it "kicks in" and more gentle vibes ensue. (I swear it works on me, too!) I really like the scent - mild but pleasant. The only negative for us is that it's a pretty heavy mist, so it falls through the air quickly. The label says to spray in the air immediately before bringing in your pet, but that hasn't worked. Instead, we spray it high in the air above the cat (at least 5 feet above, basically human head height) and kind of "waft" our hands through it to disperse it so it doesn't land directly on the cats. This has the most immediate and profound effect - and it's amazing!

Best Cat Calming Spray
Please keep carrying this Sentry Cat Calming Spray. It is a pleasant smell for both cats and humans. Can be sprayed in the air, on bedding, in carriers--just a quick, short spray does it, so it lasts a long time. The other pheromone products seem too strong and all my cats were spooked/depressed by those. In contrast, my cats have all liked this spray: Sentry spray makes them calm but in a happy, uplifted way. I used to put a bit on my pant legs when I was socializing my cat, and she loved to rub against the fabric. Easy transition to a towel in the lap. Definite help in socializing a cat. Use it when needed now, for the carrier and for times when people set off fireworks. Also used it when the tile roof was being replaced and the noises above her head frightened/bothered her. Great product!

Helps our fear aggressive dog
After the Covid isolation our little dog has developed fear aggression and acts up whenever someone comes over to the house, or even walks close by the house. She goes crazy, barking and growling and acting like she's going to eat someone. She acts this way even with family that she used to love to visit with. After a check up at the vet, I got this spray. They recommended a pheromone spray. I just spritz lightly in the rooms where we'll be before she is let in. It isn't a miracle cure, she still has spells, but it does seem to take the edge off and she doesn't react as strongly or as quickly. The scent is pleasant to humans and not overwhelming, but you can definitely smell it. This is my second can. My only complaint is that it doesn't last very long. It would be nice if it came in a bigger size or that it cost less.

Smells good, but that's about it
Unfortunately, this did not work for my dog. He is a Xolo, toy size and acts like a Chihuahua. The spray smells really good and I think it may have helped me get better rest! lol. Didn't work for my baby, but he is very high strung.

Seems work better than diffusers or other brands
I have used Feliway plug-in diffusers, never noticed any change in cat behavior. My cat is good, no marking or anything, but he does get nervous or reflect rescued cat PTSD in some circumstances. Our local shelter has been using this brand (Sentry, a division of Sargent) to calm him when giving him his insulin shots (diabetic) and dealing with another cat in the house that the kids got but he regards as an annoyance or competitor. When I first started the insulin shots, I put his favorite food and treats in front of him and he never noticed the shot, but then started to take notice and soon after would squirt away or struggle, food or no. I then tried this spray, on a paper napkin, folded and in my pocket so he could sense it even where ever I chased him, and he did struggle a bit less I think but still struggled. Now I place the sprayed and folded paper towel next to him and the food dish, and at least so far he is back to eating and paying little or no attention to the shot. May it continue! In any case, while perhaps not a 100% cure for all stress and the spray is short-lived, not like the plug-in diffusers which are weaker for should last a month or so, this spray seems to help a lot, and our shelter also uses it. I see it in different packaging ("clear" and other versions, which i think refers to the packaging around the spray can), and different suppliers, but this one seems to be the exact same product and same 1-oz size, and works well.

Had no impact on either cat-- complete waste of money
I got this for my two completely indoors cats. One is about 5 years old, the other is 9 months old, and both are female. Although I followed the instructions to the letter and gave it multiple tries, my cats never once responded to the spray. I'm very disappointed, as I've been trying to find a way to calm them down so they can adjust to each other better. If you're in a similar situation, I'd suggest skipping this spray.

A little bit goes a long way!
This is wonderful calming pheromone spray for dogs! I absolutely love it! I have two dogs. One is 12 years old and the other one is 5 months, both Border Aussies. The younger one is still learning, and she gets a little over excited and her herding instincts go wild! I made a video to show you the results of a little tiny spritz of this spray did when she wasn’t even in the room. She came into the same room a few minutes later and conked out. It works! She got some much-needed rest, and my ankles got some much-needed relief :) I hope this helps you and your furbabies just as much!

Helps calm cats separation anxiety, aggression, behavior
I’ve used this product years ago. When my cat was a kitten he was extremely aggressive & destructive. I’ve had cats all my life and he was very different from the others. This spray worked wonders! You could see the change in his face when I sprayed it in the air. Now 4 yrs later he has been going through separation anxiety when I’m not in the same room. I am happy to say it has helped calm him down & relax. Highly recommended. I’ve also tried the collar of the same brand. Oddly it did nothing for him.
