WomenSense EstroSense by Natural Factors, Natural Supplement to Support Estrogen and Hormone Balance During PMS or Menopause, Vegan, Non-GMO, 60 Capsules

I have been taking this for about two years now and my only complaint is that I didn't discover it sooner. I spent most of my life on birth control pills due to horrifically heavy periods, extremely irregular periods, endometriosis and severe cramping. Long before I was sexually active and even those times when I wasn't sexually active, I was still taking birth control pills to help these problems. Discovering EstroSense has been wonderful for me. I only take one capsule a day but I now have a regular period, a lighter period, few if any PMS symptoms and no spotting between periods - AND I have been able to do this without using birth control pills for the first time in my life. It should be noted, ESTROSENSE IS ONLY FOR WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE. It is not designed to help with menopausal or peri-menopausal symptoms. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ESTROGEN. Women experiencing symptoms of menopause should look into taking MenoSense, also sold here on Amazon. This is because EstroSense actually lowers Estrogen levels - and thereby also lowers the risk for many estrogen-related cancers, tumors, fibroids and cysts. In a nutshell, most Western women (and many men) get far too much estrogen due to environmental factors and diets. Women who are overweight will also generally have higher estrogen levels, as estrogen can be converted from fat. When our estrogen levels are too high, it suppresses and imbalances other hormones. EstroSense not only helps lower estrogen levels, it also contains compounds which may be naturally anti-carcinogenic, anti-atherogenic (prevents the hardening of artery walls)and protects against liver damage. By balancing estrogen levels, other hormonal levels will often become more balanced as well. If you are able, please see a doctor and discuss ALL supplements you take as well as what supplements you would like to take, specifically giving the reasons for wanting to do so. While many doctors will give a "try it and see" approach, they can also test for things which supplements will not fix. Some women have irregular periods their entire lives, while others may develop this condition due to some other, more recent problem. You don't want to be the person who is experimenting with supplements while something more serious is developing.

I have using this product for years!! Perimenopause symptoms level..Calmed Fibroid tumors, as I had a month long cycle caused by Primrose oil supplements that created more estrogen. Instead of resorting to birth control to regulate my cycle, I went back to using this product after a year break. I have many friends that have greatly benefited from this particular product. I take this daily every morning. When I’m having an intense cycle, or pretrial cycle, I will take one in the morning and evening. With the elimination of gluten, cow dairy, and sugar in the evening, my night sweats are barely even there. I will continue to recommend this product. Started to notice a difference after just a few days.

This product was recommended to me a few years ago by a health consultant at a health food store, and I was taking it successfully. I stopped, but now that I am in perimenopause, I have gone back to it as I'm not ready to jump into the expensive HRT yet. And it has really helped me. I'm 41, and this has helped with hot flashes, heart palpitations, and regular cycles, no more cramping (which I never got prior to my 40s). I highly recommend this product as a way to keep your estrogen levels in check and your cycles regular.

I haven't really used these for very long - I purchased them on the recommendation of the woman in a health food store. I was looking for some sort of liver detox to help with my endometriosis and she recommended this product. I started taking these using the Canadian dosage recommendations (same product with the same ingredients / content amounts) which was 3 capsules, twice a day. I did have headaches that wouldn't go away for about 3 or 4 days (which I assumed was the "detox" effect of the tablets). I decided to stop taking it to see if the headaches went away... and they did. I stopped for about a week while I travelled and only have started taking them daily again for the last week and a bit. I reduced the dosage to 2 pills twice a day and haven't had any headaches since. The recommended dosage for the US one is only 2 tablets daily which I think is more for PMS support etc... The reason I started taking these was because I would have daily pains where my endometriomata masses are (one small cyst on left ovary, one large cyst on right ovary) plus I wanted to try to maintain (or even shrink) the size of my 8cm cyst (waiting for surgery). I rarely have pains and if I do they don't last long. It is a good alternative to the pill which is meant to help control endometriosis (which I cannot take, due to my ocular migraines) and I have not felt any ovulation pains either whilst being on this. Bonuses to this is that it helps support healthy breasts, (I have cysts in both breasts) and help with PMS / "effortless periods". One negative is that it contains green tea extract which contains tannins which inhibit the absorption of iron. I am slightly anaemic, so I've started to boost my iron intake using wellesse liquid iron. I'm ok when it isn't that time of the month, but to be safe I have started to take the iron just in case. I will update again later to comment on how it affects my PMS / period pains.

Been taking this 10 days. Two capsules in the morning. It broke my insomnia streak thankfully. I’m noticeably calmer. Could be partly because I’m sleeping again through the night but even when I used to be able to sleep, I still felt some angst. I feel more focused. Again. Sleep helps. The one thing I didn’t expect was that my skin seems to be improving. Like less stressed looking. I don’t really get hot flashes often so can’t say if it helps that. I had a hysterectomy but kept my ovaries. I’m 59 and went through natural menopause. All in all, I think it’s worth at least a months worth of trying. Not much to lose money wise if it helps you like it seems to be helping me. I’ll update once I finish the whole bottle. And yeah. I was skeptical too. I did some research before picking this one.

Four months after the below review, returning to say I'd give these more than 5 stars if I could. Hot flashes have disappeared completely, and these have helped in ways I couldn't have imagined. I awake refreshed in the mornings, and I no longer feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle to get through the day and accomplish what I need to. There's no harsh stimulant effect or anything, just a feeling that my body is finally functioning as it was meant to for the first time in many years. I don't know why this product works so well, but I'm very thankful that it does. Original review follows. I have been suffering with severe hot flashes for about two years. I've tried natural creams as well as Amberen, neither of which worked. Also, they both had side effects that I couldn't live with. I tried this product with very little hope of it actually working, and initially, I was right. I decided to keep taking the pills to finish out the bottle because why not? They weren't helping, but they weren't hurting either. And then, suddenly, the hot flashes stopped. Almost completely. No gradual diminishment. Just a sudden, glorious relief from symptoms. I went from about two-three hot flashes per hour during the day and waking up several times in a pool of sweat during the night, to the occasional brief skin flush during the day and the same brief flush maybe twice a night. It's really bizarre how symptoms ceased so suddenly, and because they've only been gone for a little over a week, I am hesitant to truly believe it. Still, the relief is so welcome and impactful to my daily life, I'm going to rate these five stars. I'll come back with an update if things change, but I'm very much hoping they won't. Oh, and unlike Amberen, I don't have severe stomach issues to deal with when taking these. Yay!

This supplement was very strong for me. It made me abruptly come on my cycle after only 15 days after my last period. I had cramps almost immediately after my first dose. Leave your body alone!

I have been taking two a day since I got them about a month and a half ago to help with estrogen dominance and semi-irregular periods. Well, I haven’t had a period yet and I am almost a month late. So it seems like they are doing the opposite of what I got them for. I’ll finish the bottle but I’m kinda disappointed that I didn’t see any positive effects. I’ll update if anything changes. UPDATE My cycle started about 9 days after I initially posted this review, so over a month into the bottle. This cycle seems more manageable than most that I have had, with far less clotting and easier cramps - although they are still there. I did have a TERRIBLE headache on the day of heaviest flow, which perhaps means that the supplements (I am taking several) are working to regulate my hormones. I also increased my intake of berberine around this same time, so it could have been that as well... updated to 3 stars

Got many compliments about losing weight. I am a bit overweight, not obese. Also helps keep my hormones balanced.

I’ve been using this for over a month now but am still experiencing hot flashes and night sweats. I’m up numerous times at night because I can feel myself cook.

I like the product, it’s the same price or less than health stores. I wish it came more appropriately packaged- like other supplements it’s still coming in a bottle that’s 1/2 full, meaning it’s using double the needed plastic.
