To the person who says the lid gets mold... I absolutely LOVE this pitcher, but was ready to toss it due to the mold, but THERE IS A FIX. There is a video on youtube that shows how in addition to the the rubber gasket coming off, the other pieces of the lid screw apart so that they can all be washed -- including the small space inside the lid. Search "Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Clean Lid." So I definitely recommend the pitcher, but my advice is to look at the instructions, because I tossed them, and the lid is amazing, but it took me forever to figure out how to use it.

can you pour boiling water into this pitcher?

No, they do not work well for boiling water. However, I use these pitchers for making ice tea brewed between 165F and 185F and they work great. Even at these lower temperatures, the thermal shock will break them unless you temper them. Just pour a few ounces of your hot liquid into the pitcher and slosh it around for a minute. This will prepare the glass for the hotter temperatures to come. Then slowly pour the rest.

The posting says "68 oz" but the first bullet says "2 pints." The questions also have varying sizes. Exactly what size is this??
